Chapter 781: Chapter 305: Fist Strength is the Real Power_4

Austin furrowed his brow, leaning on the sofa, "The recent accounts of the Lando Family are ugly, but the Queen has seen my performance, and she won’t make things too difficult for me for long. She will appropriately empower the loyal."

"Loyalty is the best reward for loyalty. You’ll get nothing but honor, and maybe not even that, since the things you’ve done are all shameful."

Wayne held an opposing view and then presented evidence, "Did you know? A Baron called Kimo has appeared at the Queen’s side."

Austin nodded, Kimo was not well-known, and it was only after war broke out that the Queen transferred him to Lundan, using him considerably. He is now fully responsible for the centralization of the Tulip Family.

Austin had no objections to Kimo, and it was normal for the Queen to have her own secretly nurtured confidants. He also had no objections to the Queen’s centralizing actions. To externalize, one must first stabilize internally – only with internal stability and unity can one fully confront the changes outside.

Heaven only knows whether the churches will join the battlefield, and it wouldn’t be wrong to prepare in advance.

But Austin could clearly feel that Kimo was targeting him, and ever since Kimo’s appearance, the Queen had become somewhat estranged from him.

"There are traitors around the Queen!" Austin toyed with an Ancient Silver Coin, laughing like a villain.

"Indeed, a great villain like you should have been eradicated long ago!"

Wayne drew an Ancient Silver Coin, imitating Austin’s manner, "I met Baron Kimo last night, in the Grand Cemetery of the West District. As the Death Knight, he told me about your corrupt kickbacks and the Queen’s serious dissatisfaction with you."

"What does he want with the Death Knight?"

Austin’s heart tightened. He had already pushed Wayne, this unstable element, out the door. How was he dragged back in?

The pace was wrong. Trouble was brewing!

The more Austin thought, the more panicked he became. He wasn’t afraid of the Queen having a plan, but of the Queen thinking her plan was flawless.

"The Queen has further consolidated your power. From now on, Baron Kimo and the Death Knight will handle the communications. You’re no longer..."

"That’s not important. Tell me directly, what else did Kimo say?"

Austin stood up. It was understandable for the Queen to bypass him and contact the Death Knight, but if this Death Knight was Wayne, who was full of rebellion, that would be a serious problem.

"Kimo wants the Death Knight to present himself as an ally and intimidate the forces behind the Tulip Family, like the Life Alliance, the Moonlight Church, the Naturalism Church."

Wayne chuckled, "As you know, the other Tulip Families and The Church have a lukewarm relationship, usually only providing economic aid without compensation. The only ones truly closely connected to the two churches are our Lando Family. In other words, the Queen hopes the Death Knight intimidates the Lando Family!"

Austin: (눈_눈)

The Queen is being foolish. How can she reveal the battle plans to the Lando Family before the fight has started?

While shaking his head, Austin sighed helplessly, "I understand the Queen. She isn’t heartless and cold. This move is just to suppress and intimidate, and there won’t be any significant action."

"Really? I don’t believe it."

Wayne tossed the Ancient Silver Coin, catching it smoothly, and said nonchalantly, "You think this way because you know the Death Knight is a member of the Lando Family. You’re complacent and unconcerned. The Queen doesn’t know that; she only sees that the ally is too powerful. Such a formidable force doing nothing would be a waste."

"..."

Austin closed his eyes and leaned back on the sofa.

If the Queen truly intended to turn against the Lando Family, he would have no choice but to draw his sword and storm Buckingham Palace, to clear the Queen’s side alongside Wayne.

Kimo would make a qualified scapegoat, for it was because of his instigations that the Queen lost her wisdom and misunderstood her loyal subject.

Without Baron Kimo, the Queen is still the Queen, and the Lando Family is still the Lando Family; it’s better for everyone.

"In addition, the Queen has requested to strengthen the cooperation with the Death Knight, promising many benefits and ceding all the interests of the Life Alliance and Heavenly Father Church to the Death Church, which is strange; I can’t figure it out," Wayne frowned deeply.

"Stop pretending and just say it," Austin scoffed.

"To drive away the tiger by using the wolves to save oneself is sound, but on what does the Queen rely to ensure that the new tiger, once full, won’t be greedier than the previous pack of wolves, and on what does she base her trust that the fierce tiger won’t become the leader of the pack?"

Wayne narrowed his eyes: "I’ve heard some intelligence that there’s a big problem with Lundan’s mist; the Royal Family still has Divine Blood. Forget the Death Knights, even if the Dark Knights join forces, they won’t be able to conjure any great storm; our family will be ruined."

"Is that your plan?"

Austin glared at Wayne fiercely: "Even I am within your schemes; do you even regard me as your father... the head of the family?"

This was only the beginning; the real schemes were yet to come!

Wayne shrugged his shoulders and defended himself: "It’s not scheming. You’re too nice to your ex-girlfriend; I’m afraid the teacher will be wronged."

"Impossible!"

Austin stood up, asked Megan to enter the room and said simultaneously, "I’m going to investigate the mist and Divine Blood, to ensure the Queen’s trump card is of no use. But let me be clear, I will only act if the Queen makes the first move."

"And you, don’t do anything strange and end up unable to wrap things up!"

Austin stared at Wayne intently; the kid definitely had other plans. Just to be safe, he had to anticipate his move.

"Don’t worry, I’ll be good," Wayne reassured with a thumbs-up, his silver teeth flashing: "You’re the man – say the word and you spring into action. I guess you’ve already looked into the Divine Blood. Go ahead with ease; you just charge forward and leave the back to me, foolproof."

"..."

Even less reassuring!

Austin had a splitting headache. He was being pressed step by step by the Queen from the front while the heir was trying to slip a knife into his hand from behind, leaving him quite helpless caught in the middle.

Continuing loyalty to the Queen was already unrealistic; family interests could be sacrificed, but not family members; listening to the trash’s nonsense was even more impossible. The situation once out of control could become terrifyingly unpredictable.

Advancing was no option, retreating was none either.

It was too difficult for him!

He could only hope it wasn’t too late!

Hopefully...

Right!

Austin was extremely frustrated. If only he knew this would happen, he should have been more decisive back then and simply dumped the person in the trash bin and sank it in the river.

Now look at this, 1V6, maybe even 0V6, no telling who would fill whom!
