Chapter 780: Chapter 305: Fist Strength is the Real Power_3
"Your imagination is truly rich!"
Wayne couldn’t help but reveal his behavior of constantly browsing through Anastasia’s thoughts. She blushed, lowered her head, and hurriedly dispersed her daydreams, determined not to let faith discover those fanciful musings of hers.
The more she tried not to think about it, the more she did, and then Wayne saw it all.
As expected of the Holy Maiden, even purer than Philomena back in the day!
Wayne mocked bitterly, saying, "My father, Austin, is the Queen’s first love and their relationship is ambiguous to this day. Faced with the Queen’s aggressive approach, he chose to become a traitor within the Tulip Family, acting as a role model in expressing loyalty to the Queen..."
"I am different; I am indifferent towards the Royal Family. Since the Queen has prepared herself for political struggle, she must be ready to bear the consequences of failure."
"Mister Wayne, do you want the crown?"
"That’s not the right way to put it. It’s clear that there are bad influences around the Queen. Tying Austin to her side is an act of utmost loyalty." Wayne raised his eyebrows, the Baron named Kimo was obviously a scheming courtier.
Anastasia still had many doubts, but since Wayne had said so, she obediently followed orders, knowing that asking more would only draw her deeper, which wasn’t a good thing.
"Her Holiness, the night is getting late; I won’t disturb your rest."
Wayne gestured to see her out, and Anastasia, as if granted amnesty, quickly walked towards the mist outside the cemetery.
A few steps later, her pace inexplicably slowed.
"Hurry, or you won’t be able to leave at all."
"..."
Hearing Wayne’s menacing voice, Anastasia panicked as though her thoughts had been seen through, and quickly sped up her steps, fleeing the Grand Cemetery as if escaping.
Wayne narrowed his eyes, watching her attractive figure disappear from his sight, and thought to himself how interesting this was.
Anastasia was indeed interesting, a one-in-a-million beauty in both skin and soul, but that wasn’t the point. The most interesting thing tonight was the Queen.
The Queen perused the shelves, picking and choosing for herself two divine weapons: one was Shadowmare and the other was Twilight Deadlock.
Putting aside the god’s-eye view, the Queen’s choices were not wrong; using The Church to fight The Church, using Knightly violence to crush all dissent.
It all made sense and was without fault. Had he been the Queen, without clear knowledge of the truth, he too would have played the game of alliances and stratagems.
But, might is the real power!
Power without strength is only waiting to be overtaken by allies, hollowed out to become a puppet.
Today, the God-chosen Knight reclaimed the power of the Tulip Family; tomorrow, the Life Alliance and Heavenly Father’s Court would be driven away. And the day after, what would be used to check the God-chosen Knight?
The Queen is no fool; Austin highly praised her as an outstanding politician and a Monarch worthy of loyalty.
So, if the Queen dared to do this, she must have had the power to balance against the God-chosen Knight.
It seems that the God-chosen Knight is only the first step. The Queen is preparing to ignite strife within The Church, hoping for mutual destruction to completely shift the conflict. Even if one side wins overwhelmingly, the Queen will have a trump card to counter them.
"Divine Blood?"
Wayne raised an eyebrow. During the fight with Shadowmare’s mistress, the Abyssal Spider Queen Martia, he had the fortune to witness Martia’s true form.
Looking only at the human part, she was a bewitchingly beautiful and eerie woman.
Too bad she was a devil!
Martia had mentioned that the Windsor Royal Family possessed Divine Blood, as well as the ability to activate it—a power that could be taken away and that stood above the God-chosen Knight.
Every dusk, this power would appear in Lundan.
"Mist..."
Wayne muttered to himself, a glint in his eyes: "Since it can be taken, it can also be given to another with Divine Blood. I thank nature for this gift, which on behalf of Chris, I humbly accept."
He pondered deeply, to prevent the power from becoming uncontrollable, he needed to investigate in advance.
And there was just the right person to gather the intelligence.
"Austin, it’s decided then. You, the great loyalist, wait for the yellow robe!"
"Kekekeke—"
The more Wayne thought, the more excited he became, planning for the future, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
Being born into wealth is tiring; you still have to make your own way. But as a second-generation rich kid, it’s not so troublesome—all the struggles of life were borne by the previous generation.
Wayne had high hopes for his father; since his dog of a father was content to be less than others, he decided to give him a push.
Calculating the situation, once the Queen’s allies meet Death, all the shadowy figures would be his men; the double agents at the Magic Department would side with the winner, the Tulip Family was restless, and the Royal Family’s own forces, apart from the trump card of Divine Blood, were virtually worthless.
As long as the Divine Blood and the mist were secured, the brave and loyal would be able to march north, cleanse the monarch’s side, restore peace, and bring prosperity under heaven. Even the Little Mustache from Prussia would have to offer his respectful toast.
He’s got this in the bag!
...
That night, Wayne was in high spirits. After returning to Wayne Manor, he plunged into the master bedroom, doing some naughty things with Chris.
Then he proceeded to do the same in Verily’s bedroom, and while she was in a drowsy state, carried her to the master bedroom.
The world-renowned painting—Veronica’s Fiancé.
Veronica need not be sad; she was part of it. Wayne was her betrothed, Chris was her moonlight, and Verily was her roommate and best friend. Although she wasn’t physically present, she was in everything.
The next day, before dawn, Wayne was kicked out of the master bedroom and enjoyed a nutritious set prepared by the Butler in the dining room. Then he drove straight to Lando Manor.

Study.
Megan stood guard at the door, setting up a soundproof barrier to prevent all eavesdropping.
Austin fiddled with an Ancient Silver Coin, looking at the expressionless Wayne and couldn’t help feeling a twinge of apprehension: "What’s going on, coming to find me so early in the morning? Did you get up to any ridiculous antics again?"
It was a bit ridiculous.
Wayne remained calm, looking worriedly at Austin: "I’ve been very well-behaved these past few days, not doing anything really. The thing is, it’s you who’s in trouble."
