Chapter 540: Chapter 233 Can’t Eat It, Take It With You_3

Juno raised her hand and pointed towards the northeast: "Just a friendly reminder, it’s a declining royal family."

"Hohenzollern?"

"A bit further away."

Any further and you’d only be digging potatoes...

It suddenly dawned on Mona, and she thought of the well-known Romanov family, frowning in confusion, "As far as I know, all members of that family have died, and they even sought help from the Windsor Royal Family at the time."

"Politics, the reasons are always varied, it can only be said that the situation didn’t allow it..."

Juno smiled slightly, "Besides, it’s not like there weren’t any survivors, otherwise where would the Princess’s fiancé come from?"

"Gulp!"

Mona swallowed hard. The fiancés of the Princess and the Prince might not have pure bloodlines, but their surnames are both extraordinarily meaningful.

What does the Windsor Royal Family want to do, overturn the current social system, and restore the feudal rule of the past?

Can’t be, are they insane?

That’s playing with fire; even the Papal State wouldn’t dare to do such a thing.

Perhaps noticing Mona’s shock and confusion, Juno chuckled, "Don’t overthink it, nobody dares to mess around, it’s just about preserving a bloodline for some minor future maneuvers."

Upon hearing this, Mona stared at Juno, sizing her up and down and frowning, "Juno, you’re talking quite a lot tonight."

As long as Wayne’s hand isn’t on her buttocks, Mona’s intelligence is absolutely online. She could tell that Juno tonight was completely different from before, and the words seemed not to be meant for her ears.

"No helping it, when your boss isn’t around, I can only talk to you."

"..."

Mona was startled again. Was there a possibility that the relationship the Princess wanted to establish was not with the Lando Family, but with her own master?

"Let’s drop this topic, let’s watch the show!"

Juno sipped her drink, warmed up, and looked down, sharing the same optimistic attitude with other guests.

These people were either friends of Prince Edward or VIP guests invited by Mayor Angelo, acquaintances from the same circle seizing the opportunity for a spectacle and not willing to miss out on it.

Seeing Carol clash with Sander tonight would truly make the trip worthwhile.

Below, Prince Edward arrived with a group of people to save the day, drenched in sweat and desperately explaining to his fiancée, signaling that the evening’s greatest entertainment had begun.

Fight! Fight!

In the corner of the castle’s grass, a skeleton skull’s eyes gleamed.

"Edward, why didn’t I get an invitation to your birthday, and when did you change it to today?"

"Carol, listen to my explanation..."

"I won’t listen, I won’t! Hand over that hussy; I want to see just how charming she can be!"

"There are too many people here; let’s talk inside..."

Faced with his aggressive fiancée, the Prince was beside himself, as if he could hear the laughter and jeering from his friends, dragging his fiancée into the castle.

On the open-air plaza, everyone craned their necks, anticipating the second act.

The first act was just an appetizer; the main course was yet to come.

"The Prince is going to have a headache today; I remember him being quite afraid of his fiancée..."

"After all, she wields a good whip."

"It wasn’t in vain that I came here for some excitement; my trip wasn’t wasted."

"Speaking of which, Sander’s only support is Mayor Angelo; is she going to be hung up and whipped?"

"Blinded by love, the Prince should have seen this day coming."

Not many people in the world understand Tai Chi, but those who know I Ching are a dime a dozen.

Like now, the onlookers enjoy the commotion and fear that the joy might not be enough to satiate them. They actively employ their imaginations, concocting one joke after another about the upcoming main event.

With so many friends poking fun without restraint, it’s clear that the Prince may lack the ability to govern, but he has many friends and is very popular abroad.

Crack, clatter.

The sound of something shattering was heard, and the crowd laughed even harder.

Mona glanced over and then looked away.

How boring, just sounds without images. Rather than wasting time, it might be better to go see if Sander really is a devil.

As she turned around, there he was right in front of her.

Sander had somehow reached the top level. Sitting cross-legged with black hair, he wore a black evening gown that revealed his snowy shoulders and neck. A delicate collarbone led down to a distinctive cleavage, adorned with a black pendant gem.

An aura of darkness!

Mona narrowed her eyes, which glinted with golden light, fixating on the black gemstone on Sander’s chest.

It was the power of the Dark Church, not a devil from Hell. She had followed the wrong clue.

Crack!

The black gemstone split open, and a torrent of dark energy surged out, enveloping Sander’s body in dense black mists. Slender elemental shadows rose from the ground, cloaked in the darkness.

The shadowy figure stood about five meters tall, its twisted wisps of black mist billowing out like long hair, slender arms hanging down. Its triangle-shaped figure narrowed at the waist before billowing out again, like a pleated skirt made from woven darkness.

The figure raised an arm, opening an umbrella made of elemental black mist. Red gleams suddenly opened where its face ought to be.

The guests were startled by this spectacle and stumbled backward, shivering. They were on the edge of the castle’s top level, with a sheer drop behind them.

Mona did not intervene; Sander was not a devil, and she had no need to expose her identity and bring trouble to Wayne.

Next to her, Juno took a step forward slowly, holding a Crucifix pendant and murmuring a chant under her breath.

A prelude to casting a spell.

Boom!!!

A thunderous sound echoed between heaven and earth; the earth roared, and the castle trembled violently.

Black curtains rose from all sides, enveloping the cardinal points and sealin off the castle completely.

In the sky, an Inverted Pentagram blazed with red light, pouring down a cold blood rain that clad the grey castle in a layer of red.

From afar, the moon outside the curtain seemed soaked in blood, almost dripping.

Prince Edward came running out hurriedly, followed by his fiancée Carol, who held a whip. They looked up at the sky, drenched in the fine rain, their eyes growing hazy.

Another figure approached them from behind and patted their shoulders; a greasy middle-aged body slowly transformed, settling into an elegant form with a black wide-brimmed hat.

The last of the Familiars, Juliet!

Here she appeared. Something was not right.

In the castle’s corner, a Skeleton head was skeptical, its brute force appearance lacking any hint of a Boss’s presence. Even if as a Familiar it was an elite monster, this kind of appearance disappointed the month-long concealment.

Is that all? I thought you were someone of substance!

Wayne was slightly disappointed and was about to feign a rise from the dead.

To the south of the castle, a white light shot into the sky, and surges of magical power whirled into a fierce maelstrom, reversing the blood rain, clearly not something a Golden Mage could manage.

Was there another master?
