Chapter 1305: Chapter 438: The Devil Will Not Only Refrain from Slandering You but Will Also Praise You

Windsor towards the west, the boundless ocean west of the Republic of Ireland.

The night sea is profound and mysterious, like a scroll unfolding under the moonlight, stretching into the distance.

Far away, the sky and sea melt into one hue, morphing from deep blue into pitch black, as though a colossal black hole devouring all sound and light, only to reflect loneliness and an unknown fear outward.

The portal opened, Lord Pride beats his six wings and flies out first, followed closely by the Four Virtues, each taking a position, encircling Pride at the center.

Whether you call it Pride soloing the Four Virtues or the Four Virtues ganging up on Pride, there’s no denying Pride’s status as Hell’s number one Great Demon King—it’s nothing short of legendary.

Pride waved his hand, conjuring a Holy Spear, surrounded by golden ribbons of the Golden Rule, like a pure angel descending into the Mortal World, dispelling darkness and bringing light and hope.

The sight was too dazzling, and the Four Virtues became increasingly furious as they stared.

Pride, unsatisfied, ignited the stigmata on the back of his hand, which radiated brilliance. His face bore a serene and devout smile, his gaze lowered, emanating an aura of compassion and mercy.

"Pride, where did you get your intelligence? Who told you about the Saint Heir?" Uriel demanded with a dark expression.

Hexuno, Kiraal, and Vikul also paid close attention, all with cold expressions, fixed squarely on Lord Pride.

Lord Pride had been in the Mortal World for quite a while. Before the Reincarnated Angels even awakened, he had already arrived in Lunden searching for the Saint Heir, revealing that Lord Pride held exceptionally detailed intelligence.

So detailed, in fact, that he was ahead of the Seven Reincarnated Angels.

Hexuno felt both frightened and fortunate—frightened that Heaven might have a spy from Hell, and fortunate that Pride had secured intelligence early to reach Lunden, while she awoke to find herself conveniently in the Saint Heir’s bed, effortlessly accomplishing the mission.

Whether Heaven had a spy from Hell was uncertain, but one thing was clear—not all angels wanted the Saint Heir to return to Heaven.

As for the culprit behind sharing the intelligence, the Four Virtues had a bad premonition within their hearts.

Archangel Lar was responsible for safeguarding and translating the prophecies left by Heavenly Father, possessing first-hand details about the Saint Heir’s traits.

Following Lar were fellow Archangels Michael, Hexuno, Uriel, and Vikul, with Lar holding a particularly close relationship with Vikul.

Beyond this, there was no more. At least among the descending Reincarnated Angels, the three Seraphim had no clear knowledge of the Saint Heir’s traits—only that their descent to the Mortal World was to find Heavenly Father’s successor.

In other words, there were only six suspects capable of leaking intelligence—the Four Virtues currently on the scene and Michael and Lar, who remained in Heaven guarding the throne.

Kiraal faced the least pressure. Among the Four Virtues and one Deadly Sin present, guess who didn’t know the Saint Heir’s traits?

As high-ranking officials in Heaven, their understanding of their own organization fell short against the intelligence held by the enemy’s Great Demon King—a humiliation they couldn’t afford.

The group mulled it over and increasingly suspected Lar was the traitor.

For no other reason—among the Four Archangels under suspicion, Lar was the custodian and translator of prophecy, making him uniquely positioned to mistranslate or conceal specific traits.

Death and resurrection, human yet not human, God of the Mortal Realm.

Lar had only disclosed the Saint Heir’s three major traits to the other Archangels, without explicitly telling them the Saint Heir was located in Windsor Lunden, and had secretly leaked this critical piece of information to Pride from Hell, who promptly arrived in Lunden.

If we push the boundaries further—even though reincarnation is an angelic privilege and not something demons are entitled to—the fact that Pride managed to pull it off was a testament to Lar’s covert assistance.

Unbelievable! Who would have thought, Lar, you thick-browed, big-eyed guy, betrayed Heaven!

Well, Lar didn’t have thick eyebrows, but his eyes were indeed large, so this complaint wasn’t wholly inaccurate.

The Four Virtues deduced the truth and were momentarily reluctant to believe it. Even with the truth laid bare before them, even with all signs pointing to Lar, they clung to some faint hope for an alternate possibility.

Uriel took a deep breath and once more interrogated the smiling, silent Pride, adding: "You’re so proud you wouldn’t condescend to lie, so I suppose you’re unlikely to hide the truth!"

Child of the Beach, you’ve mistaken Pride as what—someone as mindless and foolish as yourself?

Pride sneered inwardly, coldly snorting, saying: "And what would I gain from telling you the truth? Just now, you, Uriel Archangel, personally informed the Hell Demon King that the Reincarnated Angels descended to the Mortal World to search for the Saint Heir."

"Nonsense!"

Uriel scoffed, mocking: "As the Lord of Pride, you’re at heart a hypocritical little villain. You’re not the least bit proud, unworthy of your title."

"You say that as though you yourselves are worthy of your own titles."

At this, Lord Pride suddenly became animated, critiquing them with a flourish: "Hexuno, as the embodiment of Purity, yet indulgent in carnal desires—look at your hypocritical face, your dignified and sacred exterior concealing nothing but filth. Even a demon like me finds you disgraceful. If you have even a shred of shame left, why not immediately kill yourself and apologize to Heavenly Father!"

Hexuno remained composed. Demons couldn’t comprehend, so they shouldn’t pretend to. Where was she filthy? This was the mark left by the Saint Heir—the highest grade of stigmata.

If not for being from opposing factions, she might have even wanted to thank Pride. Without Pride digging the pit, how else would she have found the Saint Heir at the bottom?

A pure angel, without exaggeration nor humility—Wayne, the Saint Heir, so subtle that even with the combined efforts of the Four Archangels, the Four Great Angel Legions reincarnating collectively, he couldn’t be found.

No, more accurately, even with Heaven and Hell descending into the Mortal World united, he still wouldn’t be found.

He had hidden too well!

No wonder Lord Pride arrived in Windsor early, only to remain empty-handed until now.

"Heh, not even blushing, truly quite proud. Old friend, you’ve fallen."
