Chapter 1300: Chapter 436: During an avalanche, no single snowflake feels responsible_4

When the snow avalanches, no single snowflake feels it is to blame.

From their respective standpoints, they all believe their choices are correct.

The scene shifts back to the conference table. Uriel looked at Wayne with disdain, loathing the shameless human to the extreme, and said coldly, "Wayne, can you represent the Lando Family?"

"The Lando Family cannot represent me, but I can represent the Lando Family. Does this answer please you?" Wayne replied with a smile.

"The Lando Family I speak of is not the Lando Family. Let the person behind you speak to me!" Uriel showed clear displeasure, finding even an extra glance at Wayne unbearable.

"That’s probably not going to happen. There’ll be issues with addressing it. So many people are watching; don’t you care about Heaven’s honor?"

The smile that should have been on Uriel’s face had completely shifted to Wayne’s, growing ever more radiant. "You know me; I don’t mind. The key is whether you can bear the price of the truth."

Clown!

Uriel closed his eyes. "Since you self-proclaim the ability to speak on her behalf, I’ll be forthright with you. The Windsor Family possesses the Blood of Saint George, a lineage of Seraph descendants in the Mortal World. Be it the dignity of the Royal Family or the majesty of the Kingdom of Heaven, neither is something the Lando Family can insult."

"What era are we in? Still talking about royal families? Do you understand the concept of decentralized monarchy? Do you know capitalism and a free market?"

Wayne sneered. "Don’t speak nonsense if you don’t understand. It’s not the royal family choosing the nation but the nation choosing the royal family. Times have changed; your outdated beliefs are irrelevant."

"No matter how times change, bloodline supremacy persists. The Windsor Family is inherently noble, whereas the Lando Family is born to be knights. Disloyalty to the monarch is a capital offense."

"..."

The verbal battle raged on. Uriel spoke of loyalty; Wayne debated systemic structures. Uriel discussed systems; Wayne countered with national conditions. Uriel referred to national conditions; Wayne spoke of global alignment.

Felster, watching from the sidelines, widened his eyes. He cared not for loyalty or systems; it was all nonsense. He wished to fast-forward to Wayne playing the rogue.

If not playing the rogue, he’d prefer both to stop their verbal sparring altogether.

Felster, proud and upfront at the forefront, so close to the two Archangels, risked being sent back to Hell. He wasn’t here to listen to useless chatter.

Give us amusement!

You all better give us amusement now!

Hexuno with his unclean aura was right in front of Uriel. Uriel, open your eyes and look, just one glance, I beg you.

Felster was so anxious he nearly scratched his ears, almost jumping in to point out Hexuno’s identity.

Thinking of his own happy days, ultimately, he held himself back.

Laughing at Heaven? Yes.

Becoming the Hell joke? Absolutely not.

Hell jokes were the exclusive domain of the Lord of Envy, who ruled over them. They were brothers; Pride couldn’t encroach on his sibling’s territory.

Unable to act himself, Felster thought hard and decided to have his tool, Bedford, take over the task.

It’s settled then: Justice Envoy Bedford, you will unveil the truth and awaken these hypocritical angels spouting morality and ethics.

"Progress comes with the times; yet if loyalty is forgotten, progress degrades into regression. The Lando Family’s usurping royal rights clearly constitutes rebellion!"

As Uriel’s words fell, Bedford stepped forward, fiercely supporting: "Sir Pedro is absolutely correct. The Bedford Family of the Tulip Family is prepared to sacrifice everything to reclaim the Queen’s honor. Just await Sir Pedro’s command, and I will lead the charge, splattering the Lando Family with blood."

"Who are you to be this bold!"

Wayne glanced at Bedford, vaguely familiar. Seemed to be a Legendary Mage of the Insectoid Family, though his name escaped him.

"Beldefort Bedford. Their family’s shipyard brings in great wealth; does that ring a bell?" Philomena reminded him.

"So it’s the shipyard family. I remember now. Your family’s shipyards are profitable; the Lando Family enjoys using them."

Wayne snapped back impatiently. "Adults are speaking; children shouldn’t interrupt. Do you know who I am to dare speak loudly at me? Think about how many businesses your family has left, then ask your master who I really am. Decide carefully before you seek death."

"Good point!"

Seeing the topic shift to identity, Felster, caught in excitement, couldn’t help but nod in agreement.

"Wayne, I don’t know who you are, and it doesn’t matter. I only need to know Sir Pedro’s identity; that’s enough."

Bedford raised his hand, showing a Stigmata publicly to all eyes. "Everyone here, listen up! I cannot say the true name of Sir Pedro, but I can reveal that he represents brilliance and love, the embodiment of the most generous divinity."

"He forgave the sins I once committed and granted me a promise to enter Heaven. This Stigmata is the best proof!"

"He is generous and kindhearted, understanding that your servility to the Lando Family was out of necessity, fearing the forces and power behind them. He has never blamed you. Now..."

"Sir Pedro brings forth unmatched forces and power. If you continue serving the Lando Family, you will be guilty of true disloyalty. Once the rebellion of the Lando Family is quelled, Sir Pedro may choose to ignore you, and the Queen might choose forgiveness, but I won’t. I, Bedford, will never tolerate a traitor!"

This kid truly deserves Heaven!

Uriel felt very satisfied with his choice of subordinate. Such eloquence was worthy of being called art.

This guy’s insane. For Heaven’s empty promises, he’s selling out his entire family?

Wayne raised his brows, about to subtly threaten Bedford, but noticed the silence of the Insectoid Family members, likely realizing Uriel’s true identity. He silently cursed trouble.

Austin didn’t show, but had warned Wayne: Frank suffered a major defeat, international turmoil raged, and the Windsor people were deeply struggling. Though the Tulip Family was mere Insectoids, losing them would cause order to completely collapse. Avoid turning the Insectoids against us.

Recall this, Wayne glanced again at Uriel’s smug face. Troubled yet even more irritated, he sneered.

He did not speak to flunky Bedford directly, addressing Uriel instead: "Well said, Sir Pedro. Coming mortal-side, you’ve even forgotten your name back in Heaven."

"Wayne, do you have the qualifications to say such things? Don’t think that silence makes you legitimate!"

"Uriel, your sharp rifle might be strong; my sword isn’t weak either!"

Wayne revealed the truth bluntly: "You are the Archangel; so am I. The forces and power you command I, Hexuno, have as well. In terms of status and favor from the Heavenly Father, I surpass you. What do you have to compete with me?"

The crowd was astonished.

The Insectoids, hit by terrible news—no, tremendous joy—knew they could no longer rise—no, they must now swear loyalty to the Archangel. Trembling in fear—no, shaking with excitement.

Felster couldn’t contain his thrill, eyes glowing brightly, instinctively stepping closer to view the drama at hand.

Uriel, Wayne pretending to be Hexuno is obvious. You’d uncover it in a single glance.

What are you waiting for? Expose him!

Reveal the truth to everyone, tell them the secretary Wayne delegated is the real Hexuno, and then bring justice upon him. That’s how you win.

Felster, nose flaring, couldn’t hold his excitement.

Prideful as ever, he gloried in the fact that, though Hexuno’s downfall wasn’t his doing, Wayne couldn’t have managed it without him.

"Hexuno, this is the Mortal World. No need to bring up Heaven’s past."

Noticing the fearful yet worshipful gazes of the crowd, Uriel felt a slight thrill. These humble looks were how mortals should gaze upon angels. Angels deserved to be exalted.

Felster: "..."

Bedford: "..."

Uriel, you’ve clearly mistaken someone. Just open your eyes and take a proper look! x2

"Nonsense! You could never be Archangel Hexuno. That Archangel represents purity. And you? What part of you is pure?"

Bedford stepped forward, furiously pointing at Wayne and shouting: "You’re guilty of impersonating an Archangel!"
