Chapter 1294: Chapter 435 Our 7 Virtues Are Just Like This!_2

"Hexuno is Heavenly Father’s most cherished Seraph, tasked with purging all filth in the Mortal World. Her purity is utterly flawless."

Veronica was still pressing on, thrusting blade after blade into the chests of both Hexuno and Heya—just a step away from achieving the double-kill of Angels achievement.

"Aside from wisdom and purity, Hexuno also possesses immensely powerful Sacred Power. She’s arguably one of Heavenly Father’s Court’s favorite Seraphs to boast about. Other than Vice Sovereign Michael, she has the most clout. As for you..."

Veronica squinted her eyes and said, "If I recall correctly, the first time we met, your plate was nothing but potatoes."

"What’s wrong with potatoes? Without potatoes, Windsor would have fallen ages ago. Apologize to the potato, immediately."

Wayne slapped his thigh and retorted shamelessly, "I’m a hardcore potato enthusiast. Can’t live without them. The fact that I stockpiled several baskets of potatoes back then is the ultimate proof."

"Boo hoo hoo..."

Heya hung her head and looked at Wayne, mumbling, "Boo hoo ah ah... sniff sniff wah wah... gah..."

"What are you even saying? I didn’t catch a single word." Wayne rolled his eyes and said flatly.

"She’s saying it’s all her fault. If she hadn’t awakened so late, you wouldn’t have suffered so much. No matter what, she’s to blame for everything. She’s the true vile sinner." Hexuno translated.

"No way! You could actually understand that? Are you two secretly involved or something?"

Wayne sighed in exasperation, glanced at the three little ones, and said, "That’s the situation, folks. I’m the Archangel. Even if you take it a step further, I’m just an Archangel who happens to love potatoes."

With that, he snapped his fingers.

Nothing happened.

Hexuno let out a sigh and gave Heya a push. "Stop crying already. Where are your wings? Quickly, prove the boss’s identity."

Heya, still sobbing, spread her snowy wings. Pure Holy Light and immaculate sanctity radiated forth, accompanied by the fluttering Golden Rule Ribbons and her tear-streaked face. The sight left the three little ones wide-eyed and dumbstruck.

The trio huddled together, whispered among themselves for a while, and once again it was Viley doing the analysis.

A moment later, Veronica put on a serious face and declared, "Denied. Viley said not to believe a single word of that scumbag’s nonsense."

"Bastard! And what about the second half? Sweet-talk exceptions apply!" Viley immediately retorted on the spot.

Who are you calling a bastard?!

Veronica’s hand swiftly came down like a blade, and with just one move, she subdued the future Sun Knight.

Viley, smoke practically rising from her forehead, collapsed onto Chris’s chest. The strategist was now out of commission, and no one else was left to expose Wayne’s lies.

"Fine then. If you don’t believe me, I have another version for you."

Wayne shrugged. "Actually, I’m not Hexuno; Mona is. She got tricked by the Devil, then sold out by The Pope. Afterward, she ended up working as my secretary. When she awakened and realized she had lost her purity, she couldn’t face reality and asked me to impersonate Hexuno."

How could you just spill everything like that?!

Hexuno was on the verge of panic, her heart racing, though her face remained calm as ever. Seeing both Veronica and Chris looking her way, she faintly smiled.

A helpless smile—as a mere secretary, there wasn’t much she could do when her boss shot his mouth off.

"Denied! Lies!" Veronica declared.

"Don’t be so quick to deny it. Who knows? Maybe Mona really is—"

Viley raised her hand to speak but, still nestled against Chris’s chest, earned Veronica’s glare and was promptly struck by a second chop to the head. She fell silent once more.

Un-salvageable!

Wayne sneered disdainfully, gesturing to Hexuno not to panic. He already knew that even if he spoke the truth, no one would believe him.

"Idiot. Do you have yet another version up your sleeve?"

"That last one was the truth."

"Impossible. If Mona were Hexuno, even if she lost her purity, she’d never ask you to impersonate an Archangel. You’d only make the name Hexuno even less pure." Veronica said, laying out her case with logic.

That’s a fair point, but Mona had no other options. Ever heard of Stigmata? She couldn’t bring herself to grovel to others.

I, on the other hand, had her tongue-tied a good few times!

Wayne smirked smugly, raised a fist to cough lightly, and announced, "Congratulations, everyone. We’ve received a patch update to fix all inconsistencies. While I may not be the Archangel, my status is actually higher than an Archangel..."

"Boss, please stop talking!"

Hexuno instantly interrupted. The matter of the Saint Heir was too critical to joke about.

"What’s the deal? Don’t you see I’m in the middle of deceiving them?"

That’s not deception; you’re just blurting out the absolute truth!

Hexuno sent him a Telepathic Transmission, playing to his preferences and awkwardly promising a few compromising poses, finally persuading Wayne to stop delivering cold, hard truths.

"You insisted on giving; I didn’t ask for it."

Having profited, Wayne feigned innocence and then turned to the three little ones. "Alright, I lied. I’m not the Archangel, nor do I hold any higher identity. The reason Heya believed me unquestionably is simply because she’s, well, dumb."

"Boo hoo oh oh... snort snort haha..."

"What now? What did she say?" Wayne asked in confusion.

"She said you didn’t deceive her. You really are the Archangel." Veronica translated.

"No way. You can understand her too?"

Wayne’s eyes widened. "Dare I ask, is there some encrypted secret code you women use that men simply can’t comprehend?"

"Mhm!"

"..."

Wayne remained skeptical, suspecting that Veronica was trying to fool him but found no evidence, so he rationally opted to skip the subject. "Don’t worry about Heya. She’s incredibly pure. With Hexuno watching over her, it’s impossible for her to lose that purity. If, one day, she does lose it, it’s entirely on Hexuno for slacking off, and has nothing to do with me."

"..."x3

The three little ones shook their heads in unison. Whether Hexuno was real or not, just Heya’s seductive figure placed next to Wayne was no different from throwing fresh meat into the mouth of a starving wolf.
