Chapter 1293: Chapter 435 Our 7 Virtues Are Just Like This!

Wayne’s head felt heavy as he prepared to give Veronica a serious scolding tonight.

No, that’s not quite right—it should be Chris who gets a thorough disciplining, right in front of Veronica, with Viley playing devil’s advocate on the side.

So close—she almost tricked me nine times!

Meanwhile, Chris managed to stabilize the harem quickly, with the three little ladies forming a united front, staring intently at Wayne for an explanation.

Where did this newcomer come from, anyway—a succubus from Hell?

Wearing a nun’s outfit from the Holy See, acting all prim and proper, she’s even pulling off the saintly look—if you catch her at a glance, wow, she really seems pure! x3

With a cold smirk tugging at the corner of her lips, Hexuno watched the scene unfold. Such beauty in chaos—how she loved moments like these.

In stark contrast to Hexuno, Heya’s eyes shimmered with golden light as she stared at the trio of Veronica, Chris, and Viley, silently praying the Archangel was lying, that these three were merely ordinary girls—free of corruption, untainted by desire.

Last night, Wayne had stayed up late making three fresh cream puffs. While they might not have just come out of the oven, they were absolutely fresh. But as soon as Heya caught sight of them, it was all over for her.

She wobbled over to the couch, clutching onto it for support, nearly collapsing. Overcome by grief and rage, tears of humiliation welled up at the corners of her eyes: "Archangel, I’ve come too late. If I’d awakened earlier, none of this would have happened."

If you can’t grasp just how heartbroken Heya felt right now, imagine this: the male and female leads promise to reunite in the Mortal World; the male lead traverses endless hardships, crossing mountains and rivers, just to finally meet the female lead.

Only to be informed it was all a needless effort—the nationwide parachute drop was available all along.

Anyway, that’s basically the vibe here.

Heya cried her heart out, pearls of tears cascading down like a waterfall. Her voice brimming with grievance, it was enough to break hearts and move the heavens.

The spectacle even managed to baffle Hexuno.

That said, Frey’s loyalty hadn’t wavered. She had only lashed out with harsh words because she didn’t quite grasp the situation—should forgiveness be extended to her?

As Heya wailed on, Chris and the other two found themselves a bit dazed. Veronica gulped nervously and glanced toward Chris; Chris stared blankly, then turned to Viley; Viley turned her head and...

No one was there.

Not a big deal!

Viley took a swift step forward, darting into Wayne’s arms.

After wriggling cutely for a moment, she poked Wayne’s face with her finger, bemused: "Where did this big sister come from? Did you lie to us?"

"Yes."

Wayne admitted it with complete openness, gesturing for the three little ladies to sit across from him on the couch. Amid Heya’s sobs, he began to speak: "Actually, I’ve been hiding a truth about my identity..."

"Master, tea!"

Dammit, who interrupted here? Don’t they know...

Oh, it’s Philark. Never mind then.

Butler Philark appeared with red tea, handing everyone a cup, his presence as silent as a sigh before quietly withdrawing from the room. The crying went unacknowledged, nor did he himself disturb anyone.

"How utterly elegant!"

Watching Philark’s retreating figure, Wayne nodded in satisfaction, sniffing the tea’s aroma—making him even more pleased.

"Now speak—what have you been hiding?" Veronica urged.

"Actually, I’m not human."

"..."x3

How groundbreaking—old news from several iterations ago.

"I used to be an angel with six wings, which explains why I had so many wings after arriving in the Mortal World."

Wayne tapped his empty shoulder blades and gazed tenderly at the three little ladies: "Though I’ve lost my wings, I’ve gained all of you—you are the ones who lift me to soar freely in the sky."

Chris covered her mouth, stifling a laugh, Viley nodded emphatically, and Veronica rolled her eyes: "Cut the nonsense—your diary has this exact passage, all lies."

Wait, what? I wrote that in my diary?

Wayne’s eyes widened in shock. Seeing the disbelief on the faces across from him, he murmured to himself, "Unbelievable."

Back when he was wooing them, they’d believe every line of his lies without hesitation. Now that they were living together, they couldn’t care less. What had happened to the romance?

"True—few can remain consistent like I do."

Looking aggrieved, Wayne muttered bitterly: "My name in Heaven is Hexuno, Seraph, Archangel, and I represent Water among the Four Elements."

Chris covered her mouth again, chuckling, Viley nodded earnestly, while Veronica sneered: "Cut the nonsense—your diary has this exact passage, all lies."

"No way—this part is definitely not in the diary!"

Wayne shot Veronica a glare—one can’t use the same trick on a scoundrel twice. Veronica had grown wiser, but not by much; there was still room for improvement.

"I’m completely serious—I really am Archangel Hexuno, and this is Heya, my subordinate from Heaven."

Wayne continued weaving lies: "I represent Purity among the Seven Virtues in Heaven. After coming to the Mortal World, I was corrupted by you three... Wait, no—it’s me who corrupted all of you. Heya has always admired me, and she can’t handle the betrayal, which is why she’s crying so hard."

As he spoke, Heya’s sobs grew louder.

The Lord of Envy hadn’t ever felt so wronged.

True or false? x3

The three little ladies huddled together, whispering among themselves. Viley did most of the analyzing, while Veronica and Chris focused on patching holes and dismissing viable answers.

After a brief discussion, Veronica stepped forward as spokesperson, shaking her head: "Lies! Overruled!"

"I demand an appeal! The jury has clearly been bought by you!"

"Appeal denied!"

Veronica snapped irritably: "Although I don’t believe in the Heavenly Father, I’ve heard legends about Hexuno. She’s a remarkably wise female angel whose wings resemble the first rays of dawn, dispelling fear and despair from the world, bathing it in endless warmth and hope..."

Stop, stop—this is painful!

Hexuno listened, heart aching, and couldn’t help placing her hand over her chest. Beside her, Heya mimicked her motion, sobbing with a raw intensity that seemed to tear her apart.
