Chapter 1282: Chapter 432: Archangel, Is That You?_2

Upon entering, it was immediately obvious—Austin and Wayne looked exactly alike. The Archangel had picked up bad habits, undoubtedly influenced by this mortal father.

A man of monstrous sins!

"The logic is there, but just in case, Slyphy should probably avoid going to work for now." Austin glanced at Wayne, his thoughts filled with cynicism. When looked at from a certain angle, angels and devils were indistinguishable.

"Alright, I’m the Divine Oracle High Priest, and hierarchically, I’m the leader here. I’ll call her boss and tell her to take a few days off to stay home and spend more time with her wayward daughter-in-law."

"Wait, who is Slyphy exactly?" Heya asked in a low voice.

Hexuno had no intention of replying to Heya, but upon hearing Slyphy mentioned, his expression grew notably respectful: "She’s the boss’s mother. In the boss’s eyes, her status is supreme. You’d better not bare your teeth at her, or regardless of whether the boss forgives you or not, I won’t."

Wayne = Saint Heir, and by extension, Slyphy = Holy Mother.

In other words, those unnamed Holy Mother Cathedrals across the God-chosen Continent will collectively be renamed to Saint Slyphy Cathedrals.

Hexuno hadn’t understood before why there were Holy Mother Cathedrals on the God-chosen Continent. What was Heavenly Father’s intention? What did Holy Mother mean? Who did it represent?

Now it made sense. The omniscient, omnipotent Heavenly Father had foreseen the future long ago, and reading the prophecy helps everything fit perfectly.

In the future, there would be a Saint Heir, and the mortal mother of the Saint Heir would naturally be the Holy Mother.

Why wasn’t there a Holy Father Cathedral?

That’s simpler: first, it overlaps with Heavenly Father’s persona; second, judging by Wayne’s attitude toward Austin, having no Holy Father Cathedral is clearly for the best.

Hexuno said something Austin might not like hearing. As for whose child Wayne truly was—while it could certainly be confirmed that the mother is Slyphy, the father’s identity...

Hexuno hoped Austin could recognize some boundaries. The Saint Heir already bears the surname Lando. The child has been raised by you, so what more is there to complain about?

"Wayne, what’s your plan for dealing with Uriel?"

"Angels shouldn’t fight angels; such conduct tarnishes Heaven’s honor. If heretics saw it, it’d be an embarrassment. A devil, on the other hand, is a proper opponent—an authentic angel should fight devils."

Wayne toyed with the Ancient Silver Coin: "According to my investigations, a devil of the Seven Demon King caliber has been spotted in Lundan. Remember that Book of Hell? Its origin is incredibly suspicious."

Austin nodded subtly. Since Wayne had everything arranged, there wasn’t much left for him to worry about.

Reincarnated angels always carry the burden of their own dignity, their self-perception of justice resulting in endless caution and hesitation. They could never truly confront the filth of the Mortal World.

"Besides, I plan to invite Uriel for a meal. My guess is he’s beside the Queen now, either at the Magical Department Headquarters or Buckingham Palace."

Wayne said, "I’ll send the invitation to the Queen myself. You help me deliver a message to her, urging her to arrange the dinner promptly—either tonight or tomorrow. Don’t drag it out too long."

"Why so rushed? You don’t want to toy with those reincarnated angels for a bit longer?"

"I’ve never regarded reincarnated angels as enemies. Devils, on the other hand, are our shared adversary," Wayne replied.

Hexuno nodded repeatedly. Regardless of what the Saint Heir had turned into, his stance against devils and Hell remained steadfast and unchanging. This earned her admiration—there wasn’t a single flaw in this perspective.

She hadn’t previously understood why Wayne seemed to possess an innate ability to attract devils. Wherever he went, devils showed up, and his influence surpassed even hers as an Archangel. Now she understood—it wasn’t "like attracting like," but rather the Saint Heir inherently came equipped with a devil detector.

Austin assured that it wouldn’t be an issue. He’d promptly send the invitation to Queen Sophia. Since reincarnated angels surrounded the Queen, to avoid being detained and grilled, it’d be better to relay the message over the phone rather than face-to-face.

This Dark Knight really knew his place, always maintaining this same cautious demeanor.

Not long after, Slyphy returned home due to a call from her superiors. Judging by her sour expression, it was obvious—father’s mistakes to be paid by the son, and Austin was about to suffer some fallout.

Yet, that didn’t happen.

Instead, Slyphy’s attention shifted to Heya. Inwardly nodding at a beauty, she warmly took Heya’s hand and led her off to chat.

Heya looked utterly baffled, unsure of what was happening. But a few exchanges later, she caught on, obediently letting Slyphy take charge.

Hexuno felt her temper flare, grabbing Heya’s arm and dragging her away from the Holy Mother.

If not for Wayne’s earlier orders, the Lando Family’s secret plot to orchestrate the mansion’s "bird-killing incident" would have already begun.

Observing the evident animosity between the two—a clear water-and-fire dynamic—Slyphy covered her mouth, chuckling discreetly as she cast Wayne a helpless glance.

Wayne was exasperated. The Lando Family truly wasn’t a place he could stay. Slyphy, knowing nothing, was casually stoking the flames. And this wasn’t minor mischief—it was akin to handing Hexuno a flaming torch.

Heya’s life was dangling on the edge. They had to leave now.

The black sedan pulled out of Lando Manor, heading straight toward Wayne Manor. Initially, Wayne had planned to lodge at Philomena’s house for the night, but due to Uriel’s uninvited arrival, the agenda had been forcibly rescheduled.

Inside the car, Wayne—being the boss—was at the wheel, having relegated the bodyguard and secretary to the back seat, hoping for the amusing tension to continue playing out.

Heya, having just been whispered to by Slyphy, was still lost in thought, staring ahead with a solemn face.

Not inclined to start trouble, it went without saying that Hexuno, who maintained an imperious demeanor, wasn’t about to speak either, silently radiating intensity as she stared straight ahead.

Though silent, the comedic elements were undeniable. The corner of Wayne’s mouth lifted as he inwardly remarked on the situation’s amusement.

Halfway through the drive, Wayne’s brow furrowed slightly. He pressed the accelerator, speeding into a stretch of darkness.

After traveling nearly a hundred meters, the darkness receded, revealing a grand and majestic scene of the Kingdom of Heaven stretching out before them.
