Chapter 1274: Chapter 430 Hexuno: Frey, You Are Not Pure!_2

First off, let’s rule out the Lord of Envy—Clown is absolutely not a suspect. That leaves the other six Demon Kings as possibilities.

According to Hexuno, the devil hiding in Lundan is incredibly powerful and has been here for a long time. Whether it’s still in Lundan remains uncertain. As a precaution, she hasn’t returned to the Papal State.

Then there’s Mona stirring the pot—the devil is just one aspect. Hexuno doesn’t want to go back to the Papal State because she’s afraid of major social embarrassment and can’t face her colleagues.

In summary, there once existed a powerful Demon King in Lundan, deeply hidden, and Wayne guesses Uriel has come to eradicate this devil.

Good news. With Juno working undercover, Wayne can stay behind the scenes and swoop in to claim the credit.

"Pardon me for asking, what do they call you in Heaven?"

Juno’s face was full of curiosity. She knew Wayne held a certain position in Heaven, but Wayne never disclosed exactly who he was. She asked Uriel. Uriel grimaced as if constipated and said Wayne was nobody of importance.

These cryptic people are so infuriating!

Juno isn’t dumb. Comparing Uriel’s dismissive attitude with Heya’s respect, she guessed Wayne’s status in Heaven must be extremely high—possibly even on the same level as Uriel.

Having two Archangels descend to the Mortal World is a terrifying prospect. Juno realized she had glimpsed the truth, but she couldn’t bring herself to believe it. She hoped Wayne would just spill the beans and let her drop this fixation.

"I don’t have a name in Heaven. I’m pure-blooded human," Wayne said truthfully.

Liar!

Juno rolled her eyes. She figured out long ago that Wayne wasn’t human at all.

Calling him a human was generous—he barely qualified as humanoid.

"Fine, don’t tell me. But don’t act like I won’t figure it out," Juno said with a side-eye glance at Wayne. Then, lowering her voice, she added: "Uriel’s targeting you. She brought Edward and me back to Lundan from Paris to help Saint George’s bloodline reclaim the Royal Family’s lost power and restore Windsor’s control."

"The source of Saint George’s bloodline is Heaven’s Vice-Regent Michael. Uriel and Michael are tight—as thick as thieves—and her relationship with you isn’t great. Keep your guard up. Lundan’s about to change drastically again."

"Hsss—"

Wayne sucked in a cold breath. These Reincarnated Angels are so boring. Instead of finding the Saint Heir after descending, they insist on dragging Heaven’s grievances into the Mortal World. This—this is clearly insectoid behavior.

What’s so great about this lousy place Lundan? Why is it so attractive to insectoids?

Oh right, insectoids and insectoids are always drawn to each other. That explains it.

"Didn’t expect this—the bloodline you have is actually quite noble."

"Caught your attention? Want to reconsider?"

Juno said seriously: "If you and I unite, Uriel won’t have any excuse to stir up trouble, and this crisis will be a breeze to deal with."

"I don’t think so. I’ve got a prestigious status in Heaven, and you’re Michael’s bloodline descendant. We’re mismatched—you can’t aspire to someone like me." Wayne shook his head.

"I don’t need you to take responsibility. I just want a child. It’s good for the Lando Family, and you’d profit without any loss," Juno said, eyes wide with exasperation. It’s not like Wayne would be the one pregnant—what’s he so scared of?

"That’s not how this works. From my standpoint, if I unite with you, that’s equivalent to acknowledging Michael as an ancestor. That’s absolutely a no-go," Wayne shook his head again. Not giving Juno a chance to counter, he asked curiously: "You’ve got Uriel’s support; the Windsor Family has Heaven’s Vice-Regent backing, plus two Archangels covering your side. Instead of focusing on reclaiming the Royal Family’s glory, here you are ratting people out. That’s some loyalty you’ve got."

"It’s not that simple..."

Juno sighed. "At first glance, my actions look like betrayal of my bloodline, betrayal of the Royal Family, even betrayal of myself. But in reality, I’m protecting the family. Uriel’s support harbors ulterior motives. Heaven’s bloodline source doesn’t care about us. These two are too distant—compared to them, you’re far more trustworthy."

"The Lando Family took over this country, and the Queen ended up as a plaything for my father. You and Edward were thrown out like trash. And that’s what you call trustworthy?"

"I’m perfectly fine, and so is Edward. My mother is still the Queen. Everyone managed to keep their dignity, didn’t they?"

Juno shook her head slightly. "As for my mother’s current situation, it’s clearly that she’s rekindling her old flame with Austin. A widow and a lecher—what a match made in hell."

"Watch your mouth—I won’t let you insult the Queen like that!"

Wayne beamed with delight. All that effort to sling mud onto Austin’s name hadn’t been in vain; his hard work finally paid off.

"You’re still laughing? Uriel has already met with my mother!"

"So what? His plan is simple and crude—just find any excuse and resolve everything with brute force. Nothing to worry about."

Wayne shrugged. Uriel may be an insectoid, but he still has basic principles of honor and morality. Even if he’s an enemy, he has to act logically and fair—it’s far better to deal with someone like him than a devil.

"I knew it—you’re not afraid of him at all. You...you’re an Archangel too, aren’t you?" Juno asked.

"Not sure. Truth is, I’ve lost my memory."

As if anyone would believe that!

Juno squinted, looking like she’d already uncovered the truth. "You’re neither Uriel nor Michael. Besides, your personal life is enviable—no, disgusting! You can’t possibly be the pure Hexuno. Spill it—you’re Archangel Lar!"

Archangel, take me under your wing!

Juno’s expression practically screamed "I’m here to cling to your thigh." Seeing this, Wayne chuckled. "You have Saint George’s bloodline. What would you need me for? Go find your ancestor Michael—he’s supposed to be your pillar of support."

"Yeah, right. The Papal State hasn’t given Windsor the time of day for years. If the ancestor actually cared about his Mortal World descendants, would we be in this mess?" Juno sneered.
