Chapter 1146: Chapter 398 One Devil is a Dragon, Two Devils are Worms
Three flapping figures hovered in midair.
Wayne, Heya, Dierda.
Wayne wore a white robe embroidered with a gold crucifix on its sleeves and back, his face concealed by a white mask, playing the role of a Heavenly official.
A battle outfit exclusively for clergy, hastily crafted to prevent identity exposure and avoid unnecessary attention from Hexuno, the foam turned into a mask hiding his true face.
This was Wayne’s first time using Heaven’s Vest System, with the Golden Rule Holy Flame enveloping his body in a radiant light, his divine presence overwhelming, prompting Heya to subconsciously step back half a position in respect.
Following suit, Dierda also stepped back half a position.
Hexuno held a notable status in Heaven, representing Purity among the Seven Virtues, implying all angels are pure, a fitting position.
Now that was no longer the case, a significant step down from Purity.
Of course, as Hexuno comforted himself, only in darkness can one yearn for light, cherishing purity amidst corruption.
He could always deceive himself and others.
Boom!!!
The Energy Holy Spear exploded, a white fiery pillar shot into the sky, a huge crucifix illuminating the sky, gold light mingling with white sparkles falling like rain, baptizing this smoke-filled land.
The gust of wind swept away the smoke.
Within the crater at the center of the explosion, two Demon Kings transformed into human form, their eyes coldly gazing at the sky.
Both forms of Gluttony and Wrath were male.
The former was tall and well-proportioned, maintaining his weight excellently without turning into a fat man despite his gluttony, instead, he was handsome, dressed in a slim black suit accentuating his sleek stature.
The latter with blond hair and blue eyes, his features gentle and his demeanor scholarly-friendly, exuding a sunny disposition, giving an approachable vibe, far removed from ’Wrath’.
Gluttony was not fat, Wrath was gentle; Hell’s deception was on full display.
The two Demon Kings slowly ascended, facing Heaven’s Reincarnated Angels, joining forces once again, flipping past the Chapter where they showed their true colors, their prowess heart-wrenching.
The culture of Hell, or rather, the culture of the region, was not something ordinary folks could learn.
"Frey, Fred..."
"Haven’t you two been captured?"
Gluttony frowned at the three Reincarnated Angels before him, his heart skipping a beat, wondering if the Frey before him was real, then who was the ’Frey’ tainted by Mechanized Armament?
A chill ran through him as the Lord of Gluttony realized he had fallen for Heaven’s scheme, thoroughly toyed with by the angels.
"These two aren’t important, he’s the key!"
Wrath looked at Wayne, who stood foremost, shrouded in mystery, reluctant to show his true face yet evidently of high status, commanding the respect of two Seraphs...
A Seraph or... a Seraph?
Like Gluttony, Wrath also sensed the scent of a plot, both Demon Kings holding their breath, waiting for Wayne to reveal himself.
"Hell’s vermin, the Angelic Army is on its way, this is not your place, either crawl back to Hell, or I’ll confine your conscience in the Golden Rule Bible and take it back to Heaven," Wayne slowly spoke, his voice neutral, indistinguishable as male or female.
"Who are you?"
"Hiding and revealing, we’re old friends, what’s there to shy away from!"
The two Demon Kings spread their thoughts, attempting to sense Wayne’s aura to recognize his identity.
The results were mediocre, the more they sensed, the more puzzled they became, feeling like he was a stranger they had never encountered before.
Heaven and Hell had been warring for years, if it was a high-ranking High Order Angel, both the Demon Kings would recognize him, even if not acquainted, they would’ve at least crossed paths, a High Order Angel they had never met...
If it wasn’t for the other party deliberately hiding his identity, there was only one possibility.
Trickery!
"True or false, I shall expose your hypocrisy."
Gluttony scoffed, stepping forward to protect Wrath, his eyes radiating a dark light, penetrating the space and causing ripples.
The ripples quickly expanded, stirring space into a massive wave.
The space where Wayne and his companions stood twisted and collapsed, the immense power of the Seven Deadly Sins rolling wildly like a dark sea in the sky.
Whoosh whoosh!!
Chains of white spread out, Dierda stepping on the Stigma Magic Circle, spreading the pure and holy aura, controlling the chains to seal the rampaging dark sea, smoothing out the space back to its original state.
Gluttony was immediately furious, glaring at the disruptive Dierda, his fingers capturing the distorted space where Wayne and his company were, as they separated, he charged towards Heya roaring.
Wrath: "..."
Are you putting on a show?
The Devil is known for dishonesty, and the Demon King is a prime example; Wrath, used to such behavior, wasn’t even upset.
Seeing Gluttony picking on the easy target, leaving the unknown Wayne to him, Wrath snorted and moved forward.
In mid-air, angels and demons battled together.
Dierda spread a vast force field, weakening the influence of the Seven Deadly Sins within it, amplifying the Golden Rule, enhancing the use of Holy Light for Wayne and Heya with several buffs.
Anything related to Holy Light gained strength from this foundation.
On the other hand, the two Demon Kings were subdued to varying extents.
Able to defend, control, and support, Dierda was nearly perfect except for general output.
The two Demon Kings instinctively targeted him as their primary attack target, intercepted by Wayne and Heya, forced to intensify their thought manifestations to counteract their diminished power.
"Roar—"
Last time in the Abyssal Projection Space, Heya was weakened by the terrain, able to exert only half her strength, making the fight particularly thwarting; today, with the Archangel assisting in her justice, she didn’t hesitate to summon Heaven’s Sacred Dragon.
