Chapter 1145: Chapter 398 One Devil is a Dragon, Two Devils are Worms

Inside the crater, the boiling Furnace Hell churned violently, and the raging river of fire emitted the most primal roar, like flowing flames, shaking one’s soul.

Above the flowing flames, at a distance of thirty to fifty meters, an interstellar warship with an unknown alloy surface slowly hovered.

The warship was entirely silvery-white, with smooth and flowing lines, exuding a strong sci-fi texture, akin to a meticulously polished sword, standing upright within the crater.

From afar, the crater appeared like a beating heart, with the sword ready to pierce through it at any moment.

"Gulp!"

Wayne swallowed hard. No wonder Prussia’s black tech was the best in the world—it turned out to be reverse engineering...

That’s not to say, being able to reverse-engineer is also a sign of strength; many nations fail even to copy.

Wayne closed his eyes to ponder. During the war in the God-chosen Continent, Prussia did not reveal its advanced technological prowess, indicating that this interstellar warship was discovered after the war.

The secrecy was so tight, the former government must not have known about it; otherwise, the Insectoids would have sold the information for money long ago.

From the discovery of the warship to the utilization of mechanized armament in the Prussian army, both were closely related to the current Prussian authorities.

After a moment of thought, Wayne opened his eyes, unable to bear it any longer, and vehemently complained, "I knew it! With Ancients Gods around, there had to be a technologically advanced alien civilization."

Whether in the God-chosen Continent or the world Wayne came from before crossing, the debate about the existence of aliens was endless.

Wayne felt there was nothing to argue about. The cosmos is so vast, with so many galaxies and planets capable of harboring life in each galaxy, humans couldn’t possibly be the sole life forms.

Many theories also suggest the existence of other universes, making the possibility of humans being unique even smaller.

He might believe it, but Wayne was experiencing a third-party encounter for the first time ever, and he couldn’t help but itch to go aboard the ship for a closer look.

"Regina, go in and see."

"What if it’s dangerous?"

"It’s fine, at worst you’ll be severely injured. It’s not that easy to die, and even if you’re crippled, it doesn’t matter, I’ll take care of you for life." Wayne urgently commanded her to hurry.

Dangers were merely groundless fears.

With the evolution of Prussia through mechanized armament, they had explored it already. The pitfalls were already filled with corpses; there was no danger for Regina stepping across these bodies to enter the warship.

Regina pouted, mumbling about the difference between a worker and a sleeper, and with her small succubus wings fluttering, she flew around the interstellar warship.

The warship possessed an energy absorption and conversion feature, drawing geothermal energy and converting it for power to keep the ship suspended and balanced.

The hull had no engine exhaust ports or similar propulsion mechanisms; on the left side of the ship, there was an entrance about three meters high.

Regina tilted her head, looked for a while, and then flapping her little wings, she darted inside.

Wayne widened his eyes, full of anticipation, then everything in front of him went dark.

They lost contact!

"..."

The warship had an anti-peeping shielding feature, similar to spatial prohibition. Worried about Regina encountering trouble, Wayne prepared to go and see for himself.

On the ground, the Air Marshal watched the battle overhead.

Wrath and Gluttony pressed hard against the two Marshals.

The evolution of mechanized armament could happen, but the speed of leveraging potential was nowhere near the pace of the Demon King’s arrival thoughts process, the power of the two sides wasn’t on the same level, and once the Demon King played for real, the fight would become completely one-sided.

Unlike Soskuna, who left disappointed, the two Demon Kings were very optimistic about the path of mechanized armament.

The situation and perspectives of the three defined their needs; Soskuna fought to become a Subsidiary God, aiming to evolve from a laborer to a senior laborer, while the goal of the two Demon Kings, Wrath and Gluttony, was to rise from regional managers to being the top authority in Hell, becoming the bosses and ruling supreme.

Soskuna felt that mechanized armament wasn’t suitable for him, but it was different for the two Demon Kings; they had been waiting for this opportunity for too long, whether it was suitable or not was momentarily set aside, to first seize the chance.

Even if it wasn’t suitable, if I can’t use it, neither can anyone else.

Crack!

Crack!

A giant fly buzzed its wings, pinning the Air Marshal, evolved into a flying fortress, underneath, its thoracic and abdominal segments opening to reveal fanged, fierce mouthparts, devouring the flying fortress, swallowing it at the greatest speed possible.

Gluttony’s ability was somewhat similar to the Abyssal Python; devouring was not the goal, but a means, to acquire the opponent’s Information Laws through devouring.

Gluttony didn’t immediately merge these laws into its body; after devouring the Air Marshal, it flapped its wings and swallowed the nearby Navy Marshal as well.

The information of secondary Corruption—precious, yet not so precious, depended on the source.

The giant fly looked towards the distant volcano, flapped its wings, and soared into the air; a dark shadow descended from the sky, smashing it directly onto the ground.

Wrath!

The Half-Dragon dismantled the Army Marshal, sending him back to the Abyssal Projection Space in batches, then transformed into Hellspawn Dragon, grappling and pinning Gluttony to the ground with a wrestling move.

True·Hell’s Roll.

"Wrath, you bastard, let me go!"

"Idiot, at this point, do you think we still need to keep up the pretense?"

Within the dark, tumbling sphere, the two Demon Kings tore off their masks, cursing loudly while moving towards the crater, each keen on obtaining the source of mechanized armament’s evolution.

Just then, a beam of white light descended from the sky, piercing through the Hellspawn Dragon and the giant fly, pinning the two Demon Kings to the ground together.

The halo pulsed, and the massive Energy Holy Spear erupted with scorching white flames, striking the darkness, igniting thought and flesh, causing both grappling Demon Kings to cry out in pain.
