Chapter 1084: Chapter 382: Subsidiary Gods of Darkness: The Listener, The Avenger, The Devourer_3

"Is it true or not, should I just give up resisting?"

"..."

"Hahaha------------"

Cain didn’t hear the despicable couple’s dialogue, seeing himself in the Sage’s Great Hall, he burst out laughing and said: "You are powerful and in control of the Philosopher’s Stone, Twilight Deadlock, I’m no match for any of you, but you made the biggest mistake by bringing me to the Sage’s Great Hall, this is my territory, I am protected by Darkness here."

Is it possible that Darkness is right beside me?

Wayne watched Cain silently, the crazier the man in front of him became, the more composed he was, thinking that this man was somewhat pitiable.

Another poor soul toyed with by the Dark Goddess!

On either side of the pathway, the statues burst with a black glow, Cain took a deep breath, and with the blessing of his predecessors, his inner Darkness climbed higher and higher, the surge of power made him feel like he could punch Wayne and Idinis to death.

Cain knew very well, it was an illusion brought on by the sudden surge of power, if he really threw a punch, he would be the one to fall.

He closed his eyes and murmured, opening up a channel with his mind, transmitting his voice to another world.

Dark Divine Kingdom!

Wayne’s eyes narrowed slightly, recording the spatial fluctuation, about to probe the true face of the Divine Nation; remembering Idinis by his side, he quickly suppressed this desire for knowledge.

He must not look; once gone, he may never return.

Idinis’s expression remained unchanged, neither disappointed nor sighing. Her dark game with Wayne had just begun; she had placed a huge bet, seeking not just a part of Wayne’s mind.

She wants it all!

The gambling table is fair; the more you want, the more you stake; once lost, she would be nothing.

This path required her to race against time, she was thousands of years ahead, she thought her odds were quite favorable, roughly securing the win.

To get back on track, as Cain’s whisper invoked, a strand of thought crossed the spatial channel and descended upon him.

"Cain, for what purpose have you summoned me so suddenly?"

"The great Devourer, as you can see, something happened to Lady Vizi."

Cain played a dual role, asking and answering himself.

The entity known as the Devourer looked towards Wayne and Idinis, lightly exclaimed, and after closely examining Idinis, said after a moment: "Such rich Darkness, there’s a Demigod in the Mortal World who avoids the summoning of Divine Nation... using Vizi’s body, what’s your true identity?"

The Devourer had some perception, but not much, failing to recognize the big boss right in front of him.

Idinis said with a smile, "I am acting on the orders of the Dark Goddess, assisting the gentleman beside me, who is to become the third of the Subsidiary Gods under the Goddess."

"Nonsense!"

’Cain’s’ face flared with anger in an instant, a large amount of thought flooded into Cain’s body, a faint Life Domain spread out, aiming directly at his rival, Wayne.

Ah, what have I done?

Wayne complained in his heart, spreading his pale Life Force Field, his face showing difficulty and helplessness: "Noble Devourer, I’ve been wronged. I, a Legendary Mage, am not even a Demigod, how could I qualify to be a Subsidiary God? Think about it carefully; she’s a Demigod, she’s your real competitor."

"That makes sense, I choose to kill you both."

The Devourer laughed coldly, Cain’s eyes blazed with a crimson light, his body surrounded by surging black mist, transforming into the phantom of a coiling Black Python.

"Devourer Soskuna, for the sake of becoming a Subsidiary God, you arbitrarily modify the Divine Decree of the Goddess in the Mortal World, outwardly loyal but inwardly selfish, you are not worthy of being a Subsidiary God."

Idinis scolded sharply, seemingly fearful of the other’s might, her eyes uncertain, visibly blustering, she took a step back, protecting Wayne in front of her: "This gentleman is different, he is of exceptional character, full of compassion, honest and trustworthy, respectful of others, always gentle and considerate towards the weak, never mocking or looking down on others in their plight, only he can represent Darkness in exercising divine authority."

"..."x2

Wayne: Although it is a scheme to use someone else to kill, there is unexpectedly some logic to it.

Soskuna: Do you think I am new to this world? How could such a person exist?

Soskuna scoffed at Idinis’s appraisal. Though he had not completely descended, he was not blind and could see through what Wayne was made of instantly.

Despicable and shameless, hypocritical and mean, sinister and greedy, selfish and self-serving, devoid of integrity, cowardly and sneaky...

Just like him!

As he disdainfully thought this, Soskuna’s killing intent surged, considering Wayne a most intense adversary.

With all those ’qualities’, this scum could make big moves, he must not be left unchecked.

The Black Python phantom roared silently, the massive thoughts turned into a psychic assault, bombarding towards Wayne and Idinis.

Wayne clenched the Philosopher’s Stone, tried and failed to teleport away, confronting the spirit attack that bit down like a snake’s kiss, his eyes slightly narrowed, facing it head-on.

Boom!!

In the center of the collision of the two minds, black sparks leaped, forcibly tearing The Void, the tangible shock waves cleansing in all directions.

Soskuna’s killing intent grew even stronger, that a Legendary Mage could possess the power to fight him, let alone if he became a Demigod.

He could not let him go!

The Python phantom shifted from illusion to reality, the terrifying thought projection invaded reality in the absence of Magic Power as energy.

Instantly, strong winds howled, lightning flashed, intense lightning and ferocious wind blades rushed down from the sky, heading straight for Wayne’s location, also engulfing Idinis.

Wayne’s eyes emanated paleness, his Life Force Field dodged around Idinis, protecting only himself within.

The stormy winds and lightning were all blocked, the grand and beautiful magic disappearing in an instant, all the violent energy dissipated as if it had never existed.
