Chapter 1079: Chapter 381: His Holiness the Pope, We Have a Traitor Among Us
The tip of the Lightning Spear pierced through Set’s body, and thunder burst forth, offering him the most outstanding tribute.
Set’s iron-cast body transformed into fragile porcelain, storm and thunder spewed from his wounds, and his entire figure seemed to shrink like a deflating balloon.
The Divine Realm roared and trembled, fierce winds howled, and columns of thunder struck down, as if offering a requiem for Set.
Set’s mind was befuddled, his vision turned pale, he could see nothing, feel nothing, just stood there absent-mindedly in mid-air, allowing Sarosia to thrust her long spear in and out seven times, rapidly diminishing his broken shell.
Sarosia, in sync, also shrank her form, her long spear weaving a net of thundering lightning, shattering Set into pieces, erasing his thoughts bit by bit with brutal simplicity.
Thunder rumbled loudly!!
High above, a vortex of gathering clouds cleaved a slash of lightning.
Unlike other thunders, this flash was as dark as ink, concentrated with the purest essence of darkness.
The thunder swept close to Sarosia, engulfing Set within it, striking him hard onto the ground, fusing his consciousness into the Divine Realm, resonating with all the Obelisks as a whole.
Sarosia was greatly surprised, watching her arch-enemy about to perish, how could such a twist suddenly occur.
When in doubt, ask Wayne, oh faith, oh faith, has the intensity been tested?
Wayne nodded slightly, Sarosia had been sailing smooth, breeding pride and indulgence, he disapproved, stepping in with his axe to increase the difficulty of the test.
"It’s indeed as expected, I was a bit proud and indulgent just now."
Sarosia secretly nodded, bending forward towards the ground, aiming to knock down the nearest Obelisk, searching for Set’s concealed thoughts, grabbing them to eradicate one by one.
This was a tremendously vast and tedious project, it couldn’t be done in less than three to five months.
Sarosia knew the purpose of the test, faith was honing her patience, waiting for the hard-earned sweet victory after enduring the bitterness, only then would the test truly end.

Thinking this, Sarosia was full of fervor.
On Wayne’s side, seeing Sarosia’s determination, he too was fully motivated, feeling guilty every time he tricked the too-honest Sky Goddess.
If it was the bad woman Idinis, Wayne would not only feel no guilt, but would also intensify his efforts.
He raised his hand to cover his face, asking to the side, "What’s going on, where did this darkness come from?"
Idinis blinked, turning to Anastasia beside Wayne: "It’s your turn, where did this darkness come from, speak up!"
Anastasia: "..."
Dark Goddess, do you even hear what you are saying!
"I’m asking you, where did this darkness come from?"
Wayne, protecting Moonlight in front of him, could not stand to see her slighted: "Set is not the mastermind, just like Sarosia, he is merely a rigid-thinking Ancient God, from his awakening to the gathering at the Obelisk, everything was guided by darkness."
Wayne glared at Idinis, even being careful when he stood up, afraid of losing measure in the midst of chaos, he couldn’t bear it himself, how would he allow Idinis to bully Anastasia.
"Just spoil her, really biased!"
Idinis jealously complained, discontentedly saying: "How would I know where the darkness came from, I am not the real Dark Goddess, I am just your consort, in my view, this is the Ross Federation, clearly the Dark Church is causing trouble."
"Goddess, the Dark Church doesn’t have that capability," Anastasia quickly explained.
"You a Holy Maiden know what about the Dark Church, I am the Dark Goddess!" said Idinis.
"Now you’re the Dark Goddess again, pretty flexible standards."
Wayne retorted, seeing Anastasia about to explain, he shook his head slightly: "If the Goddess says there’s a problem with The Church, there must be a problem, sweetie, tell me more about the Great Sage, how much do you know about him?"
"The Great Sage Cain’s loyalty to the Darkness exceeds mine and the Pope, he couldn’t possibly be a traitor..."
Anastasia declared firmly, if it was just about manipulating Set’s resurgence, even if Cain participated, it wouldn’t matter, but concerning the death of former Dark Knight Vizi, the charges would be severe.
"Don’t be too absolute; care to make a bet?" Idinis suggested.
Anastasia didn’t reply, other than Wayne, she hadn’t seen Idinis beat by anyone, Sarosia’s lesson was right before her, starting to ponder the possibility of Cain being the mastermind.
Let’s be rational and factual, the likelihood is minuscule, not that Anastasia undervalued Cain, but realistically, Cain doesn’t have the capability to control Set.
Legendary Mage controlling a Demigod...
Cain is not Wayne, doesn’t he know this.
"Come, to the Dark Church, whether it’s him or not, slap him and we’ll know."
Wayne patted his buttocks, telepathically transmitting to Sarosia to take her exam well, he would later come to check on her progress.
Just in case, he gave Sarosia another buff before leaving.

Dark Church Headquarters, council hall.
Today the Church headquarters was bustling.
First, the delegation from The Naturalism Church arrived, both being Divine Oracle High Priests, Wayne defeated Anton in a second, leaving the latter with no power to fight back, causing the Dark Church’s high echelons to lose face, all blaming Anton for ineffectiveness.
Anton was extremely aggrieved, the pretty boy was a powerhouse, whoever went up would lose, he shouldn’t be the only one to bear the blame.
Meanwhile, as everyone was clamoring, the Great Sage Cain, who had been festering in the Sage’s Great Hall, arrived, calling everyone to the council hall, even bringing along Pope Ivan, saying he had a new Divine Decree, there was a traitor among the church’s high ranks.
