Chapter 1052: Chapter 374 Just casually talking between us bros, but you actually did it_3
The horrific energy storm overflowed, ravaging the mountains and earth beyond recognition, sweeping up endless billows of dust, turning into a monstrous natural disaster akin to a sandstorm, directly engulfing the position where Weiwen and the two others were.
Three figures blocked the hurricane, but were overturned by the impact carried by its sharp edges and fell back in disarray to the distance.
Whether they could win was only known by fighting!
Upon clashing, the three of them knew there was nothing they could do today, and glanced back at Tubie, who guarded Dusa. The old man’s face was flush with red, veins bulging on his forehead and neck, and he cursed "Insectoids" under his breath.
Gavin, unable to assist in time, didn’t bother looking back, his hand wielding the Knight’s Sword slicing through the air with sharpness.
The light, like lightning that lights up the night sky, carried the roar of thunder and arrived before Ludwig in an instant.
Ludwig raised his long knife to hack and slash, breaking the sword light while Gavin rushed up to him. Narrowing his eyes slightly, Ludwig raised his blade to fight head-on.
In the blink of an eye, a deafening sound thundered continuously, with the clash of blade and sword flashing chaotically; the two men fought life-and-death, unleashing all they had learned, holding nothing back.
The more Gavin fought, the more alarmed he became, his eyes brimming with green vitality as he had somehow transformed into an Elf with a slender form.
Unlike the other handsome Elves, the transformed Elf’s face was covered with a beard, his body unusually robust, his hand wielding the Knight’s Sword that shone brilliant as a rainbow, each strike stirring the sound of thunder penetrating the clouds and splintering the rocks.
Behind Gavin, a dim shadow descended, the indistinct figure exuding a formidable pressure; as Gavin wielded the Knight’s Sword, the shadow’s face opened its eyes, the radiant light dulling the glow of the stars and moon.
Divine Arts!
"How could you have your way."
Ludwig’s eyes flashed with apprehension, a guilty conscience preventing him from facing the Nature Goddess’ avatar directly.
Without any noticeable action, the Life Force Field surrounding him buzzed and trembled—the space where the Naturalism Church stood momentarily halted, the air solidified, as if time itself had stopped.
Many Mages could no longer sense the breath of nature; the flora was within arm’s reach, yet when they reached out to touch, they felt not a hint of reality.
In great shock, led by the Legendary Mage, a dense crowd rushed toward the direction of the assembly hall.
Halfway there, they were obstructed by members of the Naturalist Knights Order; martial law was in place ahead, and no one was allowed to approach.
This was Gavin’s promise to Mister Wayne, with the Naturalist Knights Order maintaining order at the scene.
The camera returns to the center of the battlefield, where behind Gavin, the Goddess’ phantom disappeared, the Divine Arts disrupt on their own—no matter how he called, he could no longer sense the Goddess’ favor.
Gavin’s heart was filled with alarm. His swordplay was still precise and methodical, but without the enhancement of Divine Arts, both speed and strength fell into a disadvantage; he was struck on the shoulder by Ludwig’s blade.
His armor shattered; Gavin stumbled backward, suddenly feeling the sharp edge assail him, and vanished on the spot as if teleporting.
Ludwig did not give chase, smiling as he watched Gavin’s face pale in color: "How is it, do you feel the Goddess has abandoned you?"
"What have you done?"
"This is the inheritance of the Pope, a Secret Technique passed down through each Pope’s lips—you are not worthy to know."
Ludwig’s voice was indifferent, his eyes gradually darkening as a slight change took place in his figure; he furrowed his brow, feeling the Seven Deadly Sins’ influence on him.
Pride, envy, wrath, sloth, greed, gluttony, and lust.
Perhaps due to pride, Ludwig took it upon himself to answer Gavin’s question: "I’ll grant you the clarity in death—the space where the Naturalism Church Headquarters resides is an intact Philosopher’s Stone, all Information Laws here created by a living Demigod. Without the sacrifice of this Demigod, there would be no shelter for the Naturalism Church..."
"As Pope, I hold this Philosopher’s Stone and can control everything here, including your connection with the Goddess!"
As Ludwig spoke, he grew more arrogant, scoffing with derision, "Only if I agree can you use Divine Arts. If I don’t, you’ll never see the Goddess again, even in death."
A chill ran through the crowd; Ludwig, possessing a Philosopher’s Stone, was not a Demigod, but no different from one.
He glanced at Gavin, whose face was ashen, at Tubie, still locked in a struggle with the air, and ignored the three Insectoids confined in the distance, his gaze finally settling on Saina, who had remained still all this while.
"High Priestess Saina, you’ve witnessed the power above Legend, the realm of Demigods. Could you tell me whether that power belonged to Mister Mula, or Mister Wayne?"
This was crucial, determining Ludwig’s path of complete annihilation.
"It’s my power!" Saina’s lips curled into a smile, her eyes flashing with intense self-assurance.
Something was not quite right with this woman; Ludwig scoffed at her words: "Since you’ve witnessed the power of a Demigod, feel mine now... Life Domain!"
Boom—
Around Ludwig, the three-meter diameter Life Force Field turned into nothingness, vanishing into white, and dark tendrils stretched down from the edges, spreading in all directions, rapidly completing the apocalyptic expansion of the Domain.
Initially, there were only eight tendrils, their growth astonishing; when they broke through the earth, there was the sound of terror, as if the Giant Dragon from the Abyss was awakening.
They twisted and writhed, shooting into the sky with insane vigor, covering the sun and moon almost in the blink of an eye.
The eight dark tendrils, rough on the surface and covered with mottled, wrinkled patterns, looked like eight mountainous dark tentacles, cloaking the world in a pall of Darkness.
Countless smaller tendrils sprouted from the patterns, growing limitlessly, uncontrolled, devouring everything around in a frenzied feast.
Behind this show, the Life Domain was suppressing and affecting the Life Force Field.
