Hearing what Han Fei said, Li Xue and the other undercover officer were both surprised. They had only recently learned that Spider had an adopted son, and it seemed this actor was even more informed than they were.

"Aren’t you filming at Meat Factory Courtyard for Family? Spider’s adopted son sometimes goes back there too. You might even run into him," the undercover cop driving the car casually mentioned. "He seemed to have gone to Meat Factory Courtyard for Family just yesterday."

"Yesterday?" Han Fei remembered the strange occurrences during yesterday’s filming at Meat Factory Courtyard for Family. "Did you find any suspicious people there yesterday?"

"Those bird carcasses in the hallway were placed there by an elderly person on the fifth floor. He wasn’t trying to scare you; he was just offering to the deity. The old man is very superstitious, and after we spent a long time doing ideological work in his home, he has agreed not to interfere with your filming again."

"And what about the special effects actor who felt someone grab his leg when he jumped from the building?"

"It seems they received some sort of psychological suggestion unintentionally and there was no one on the scene interference," the undercover officer said, seemingly eager to reassure Han Fei without holding anything back. "We’ve already brought in the professional psychologists from our department to provide healing, and the person who imposed the psychological suggestion is indeed a very terrifying individual. This matches some of Butterfly’s previous behaviors and also shows that Butterfly is indeed watching you, ready to strike at any moment."

"Lastly, when I jumped down from the fourth floor, I thought I saw a ghostly figure. Did you find it?" Han Fei vividly remembered the incident; a mere glance at it had been enough to soak his back in cold sweat.

"We didn’t find the ghostly figure you mentioned, but we did see Spider’s adopted son in that building. He just happened to be in Meat Factory Courtyard for Family that day."

"What a coincidence," Han Fei was now even more curious about Spider’s adopted son, who would sell his foster father’s brain to strangers, not an ordinary guy by any means.

Upon arriving at the filming location, all the crew members were already in place, looking at Han Fei with great respect.

An actor originally known for comedy daring to attempt stunts that even stunt actors were cautious of, Han Fei’s leap had shown everyone what being a real actor meant.

Compared to the high-profile celebrities, everyone found Han Fei, who dressed simply and was somewhat introverted in his speech, to be more approachable.

Everyone collaborating on the film was essentially working their hardest to recreate the original scenes for Han Fei, allowing him to relive what Spider had experienced, understand Spider, and find a new way to break the deadlock.

Ever since Han Fei saw Personality Six in Butcher’s home in Deep World, he had always wondered: Why did the personalities Writer killed appear in Butcher’s home, while Writer, who killed everyone, vanished?

Spider seemed to be trapped in Beast Alley, bound by something.

"To take down Butterfly, I will definitely help you break free." Holding the script of Writer in his hand, Han Fei’s fingers gradually tightened.

After encountering the pig-faced monster of Beast Alley and the Flesh Factory, Han Fei gained a clear understanding of the evil at the bottom of Spider’s heart, and now he was looking for the goodness in Spider.

He had shattered Spider’s rotten, malicious half-heart, and now he was in search of the other half that harbored goodwill.

Beast Alley was Han Fei’s stepping stone for conquering the Death Building; he had to exhaust all means to enhance his own strength and that of his neighbors’ within Beast Alley.

Additionally, he was personally interested in this hidden map of Beast Alley—if he helped Spider reconcile her regrets, he might even become a semi-manager of Beast Alley, much like a Patrol Teacher at Yimin Private Academy.

Other people who strayed into Beast Alley had only one thought: how to survive and leave Beast Alley, how to rid themselves of the Curse associated with it, but the way Han Fei viewed the problem was completely different from theirs.

Half an hour later, the actors, having finished their makeup, entered the shooting site one after another.

Cameras were aimed at them from all angles to capture every brilliant performance without missing a thing.

The scene that day still involved nine people; it was their first nightmare at the Meat Factory Courtyard for Family.

However, some of the nightmares were real and some were fake; some were awake while others, dazed and confused, had already been strangled by the God of Death.

Though the scene was filmed during the day, the nine actors had to exhibit that suffocating feeling within a bright room, the fear and unease slowly spreading amongst the deceitful, and among them sneaked a real "ghost" who truly wanted to kill everyone.

At the instant filming began, all the actors were in character.

Seated in the corner, Han Fei also flicked the switch in his Brain Sea; at this moment, he was the Writer.

The alter Personalities, each with their distinct Professions, began to recount the nightmares from the previous night, as the boundaries between fantasy and reality gradually blurred; they slowly realized that the things from their nightmares were becoming reality.

The atmosphere in the cabin grew more oppressive, and as each apprehensive Personality was infected with fear, after Bai Xian, portraying the Doctor, finished telling of his nightmare, everyone turned their gaze to Han Fei.

He rubbed the wound on the pad of his finger, and his eyes, filled with complex emotions, slowly lifted, "I dreamt that something was watching me, it was standing at the window of the building opposite, silently observing me."

As his gaze shifted toward the window, and while looking at the building opposite, a surge of shock abruptly filled Han Fei’s eyes!

At this very moment, as he took on the role of the Writer and spoke these lines, at the window of the building diagonally across, there stood something with a ghastly pale face that resembled a human!

This was the second time he had seen that thing in the Meat Factory Courtyard for Family, the last time being the jump to the safety net.

With cold limbs, Han Fei, while locking eyes with that thing, subconsciously uttered the Writer’s second line.

"I can feel it getting closer and closer to me, as if it could spring from the nightmare and then employ various methods to kill me,"
