Anton felt excited. He hadn’t had a challenge in a long time. The monsters inside his Diablo II system had well-known and established behaviors, so even though newbies and subpar gamers like him considered some of the monsters, especially the uber bosses, difficult enemies, they were truly not.

He needed more combat experience, as that would dictate the outcome of his future combat with the Undead Coalition, which would ultimately determine whether it would result in his victory or defeat.

The dark and gloomy ambiance of the floor felt like the Dungeon of Balathar was conforming to his desire. Anton would have accepted any kind of enemies, but he wanted to become an expert on how to defeat the undead, especially the extremely powerful ones.

The first area that he stumbled into while flying forward was a town. A dilapidated and scary-looking ghost town. He imagined that the towns they had passed through while traveling within Rendindura would have turned out like the ghost town that he was looking at.

Anton really liked the Telekinesis spell. It was a spell that Diablo II gamers put a point in just to get to the Teleport skill, but Anton maximized the Telekinesis skill level. It was the most-used spell that he had, either in combat or out of it. It allowed him to fly effortlessly and carry the heaviest things with him. Not only that, the spell also allowed him to use it as a control spell, holding enemies as if he cast a Holding spell or a Mass Holding spell on them. He could also use the said spell as some sort of Jedi Force Push or Force Pull power.

Anton knew that flying into the ghost town would avoid the possible traps that could be on the road. He wanted to feel the full experience of the battle that would occur, so he flew down and started walking.

There were around six standing houses left with the Church at the farthest point. Behind the church was the road that would allow Anton to continue traveling the dungeon floor. At first, Anton thought that he would have to explore the houses one by one, but the moment he stepped inside the ghost town area, monsters stepped outside of each of the houses.

Each of the six houses was ruled by a vampire, and they had around seven to eight extremely savage looking ghouls. The monster that stepped out of the church was also a vampire, but more than likely, it was a higher-ranking one. The head honcho vampire from the church had three vampire minions.

All the ghouls and vampires from the six houses started running towards him. The vampires and ghouls had no strategy and outright ran towards him to attack him. That was the main difference between monsters from the real world to the dungeon monsters, but Tobias, the old mage guild staffer, informed him that high-level dungeons were different. The monsters there would behave just like monsters in the real world.

Because of the behavior of the ghouls and the vampires, Anton felt a little discontent and decided that once he completed this floor, he would transfer to a high-level dungeon, so he could start fighting with monsters that did not have a wonky artificial intelligence behavior.

As Anton had reiterated time and time to himself, he needed combat experience. That meant combat with actual enemies that could think. At least, the high-level vampire and its minions stayed behind and looked like they were watching how Anton would behave, but then they moved and followed behind the mindless ravening of the other monsters.

Anton sighed and mindlessly started casting Frozen Orb. Disappointingly, after around eight casts of his Frozen Orb, all the monsters were killed. The houses and the church were also decimated by his spell. At the very least, he felt satisfied in causing destruction using one of his favorite spells. He immediately tagged the ten vampires and, using his Telekinesis, immediately removed their teeth, which were one of the quest items that he needed to rank up. He thanked his system for giving him the Telekinesis spells since that meant that he didn’t need to touch the corpses of his enemies. After all of the enemies’ corpses disappeared, Anton earned two high-level mana stones and four medium-level mana stones. He now truly believed that the option in his Shako for increased drop rate really worked.

The church was also hiding a shining treasure chest, and based on the glow of the enchantments from the items that were inside the chest, the items were powerful and valuable. Anton stored them in his inventory and moved on.

Anton battled with wrathful wraiths, massive poltergeists, several more vampires of different ranks, powerful hulking ghouls, undead skeleton knights and skeleton mages, and all sorts of undead. His conclusion was that the fiftieth floor was still not a challenge. He even used different Sorceress spells, and the results were the same. Just a few casts and the enemies would be killed.

When noon arrived, Anton decided to change his tactics. He would try to sweep the floor using the skills of the Necromancers, so he opened his character panel and reset his Necromancer’s skill tree to specialize in Skeleton summoning. He would first check if the skeletons, backed up by his gears and their passive skills, would be enough to sweep the rest of the floor. He wouldn’t use any other skills from any of the other characters, but of course, the passive skills were still with him since he couldn’t turn them off. He would also summon the Dire Bear since he wanted to return to riding it for comfort.

After his noon meal, Anton moved on. During the first battle, he killed the enemies using his bone spells, then started summoning skeletons. In the first battle after lunch, there were about ten ghouls and three vampires, so he used the corpses of the enemies to summon his skeletons. He discovered something fun. When he summoned the skeletons using the corpses, the loot that would have appeared once the corpses of the monsters disappeared appeared immediately.

At first, Anton wasn’t sure that he would be able to use the corpses of dungeon monsters to summon the skeletons, but apparently he could.

In the first few battles, the first group of skeletons struggled a bit, but once their number increased and once the skeleton mages were summoned, it became easier for the skeletons to defeat all of the monsters. Every battle wasn’t very fast, but when Anton got tired of waiting, he activated his Fanaticism Aura, causing the battle capabilities of his skeletons to surge. He already knew the level of the monsters on the fiftieth floor compared to his power, so he didn’t hold back anymore and summoned all of his summons, including the ones from his Druid skill tree and his Valkyrie and Shadow Master.

The battle became easier after that, and by six in the evening, he was done conquering the fiftieth floor of the dungeon of Balathar. Normally, he would have to spend a lot of time on the fiftieth floor since he would need to complete the quests needed to rank up so he could delve into deeper floors, but Anton had decided to change into the high-level dungeons. Of course, in the high-level dungeons, he would have to start on the lower floors, but once he climbed up in ranking, he could also delve deeper there.

Anton earned a massive amount of wealth from the fiftieth floor, though. He gathered ten high-level mana stones, eighteen medium-level mana stones, body parts of the undead that would let him complete around ten quests, and a lot of enchanted items from treasure chests that littered the fiftieth floor.
