Chapter 83: Chapter 0083: Running into You Everywhere
Tang Ming endured the pain, his eyes blazing with fire as he lifted a chair from the side and charged forward, aiming to smash it onto Tang Ming’s head, causing people around to scream in shock. However, his speed was too fast for anyone to warn him in time.
But it seemed as if Tang Ming had eyes on the back of his head. He turned around and kicked out, sending Xiao Wu flying to the ground, where he convulsed twice and could not get up again.
"What country’s police are you, carrying such fine guns? They’re hard to find even on the black market. I might have mistaken you for cowboys from the West."
Tang Ming weighed the gun in his hand and casually tossed it aside, making a sarcastic comment to the man with the crew cut lying on the ground.
Tang Ming dared not take the gun away, in case Lin Xue accused him of stashing weapons like Ma Gangjian.
These two guys were far less competent than the Death Soldiers from the mountain road incident last time; however, their advantage probably lay in using firearms. Unfortunately, unless they used a sniper rifle from a distance, other handguns were useless against Tang Ming!
Tang Ming had experienced gunfire riddled situations and was extremely familiar with all kinds of firearms. These two fake cops were too careless, thinking that having guns could control everything—not realizing that sometimes, fists were more useful than guns.
"Let’s go."
Tang Ming waved to Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli, and the two girls obediently walked over to him.
Leading the way, Tang Ming pushed through the crowd, but just as he reached the entrance, a gun was pressed against his temple.
"Careless of me, I did not expect someone to be keeping watch outside."
Tang Ming was somewhat speechless, looking for an opportunity to seize the gun.
"Hands up, or I will shoot."
A female voice rang out, familiar to Tang Ming. He glanced sideways and saw it was a policewoman holding the gun.
"Why is it you again? Did we have issues in our past lives, meeting you everywhere I go?"
With a mix of laughter and helplessness, Tang Ming looked at Lin Xue, who was pointing the gun at his head.
"Enough talk—you’re here causing trouble again, injuring people. This time I caught you red-handed, no excuses now, right?"
Lin Xue smirked; she was supposed to be off today. She came to the amusement park with a friend, and just as they entered the Tea House to grab some food, they heard fighting noises. When Lin Xue saw Tang Ming coming out and others seemingly afraid of him, she instantly suspected that Tang Ming, the troublemaker, was up to no good.
"They are fake cops. If you want to make an achievement, go arrest those three," Tang Ming said, pointing to the three men lying inside.
"Fake?"
Seeing two policemen lying on the ground, Lin Xue exploded with anger: "Tang Ming, you’ve really got some nerve, attacking police now? Nobody can save you this time."
"They are fakes; check for yourself."
Tang Ming explained reluctantly, knowing Lin Xue’s intelligence was not the best—it was a wonder how she became a cop.
"I don’t believe you—come in with me. No tricks, and if you try to run, I’ll shoot. I won’t be blamed if you end up dead."
Knowing Tang Ming was skilled, Lin Xue made her threat.
"Fine, I promise I won’t run."
Tang Ming could only slowly walk back into the Tea House, approaching the two fake cops lying on the ground unable to rise, and fished out a few items from their pockets.
"Look, these are their police badges. So crudely made, obviously fake," Tang Ming said, handing the badges to Lin Xue.
"How would you know they’re fake?"
Lin Xue didn’t believe Tang Ming’s words; frankly, she could not spot any flaws in the badges either.
"Can’t you just trust me once?"
Tang Ming pointed to a figure on the ground and said, "No matter how you look at this guy, he is a bad guy; I’m the good guy here."
"Don’t even— I don’t think you’re a good person at all. Stop talking and come back to the station with me to explain what happened today."
Lin Xue took out her phone and called her colleagues from the patrol team for backup.
"What’s wrong with you? Clearly, these people are the villains; why are you falsely accusing Tang Ming?"
Li Xiaoli stepped forward and looked at Lin Xue discontentedly.
"Xiaoli, she’s not very bright; don’t argue with her; she might shoot you again."
Liu Mengting knew Lin Xue was convinced Tang Ming was the bad guy and was looking for trouble with him everywhere; it was useless to argue.
"All three of you, come back to the station with me as well."
Lin Xue immediately exploded in anger; in her view, this kind of missy attitude also needed a lesson.
Tang Ming didn’t want to waste his time going to the station, and after thinking for a bit, he said, "Officer Lin, their guns can prove they are not cops. Do you have police officers using Desert Eagles?"
"Actually, we don’t."
Lin Xue did have that bit of common sense.
Tang Ming felt relieved that this woman wasn’t utterly foolish and quickly pointed in the direction where he had kicked the Desert Eagle: "The gun is there; I’ll take you to it, and you’ll see I wasn’t lying."
Tang Ming ran over, and Lin Xue hurriedly followed, fearing that the fellow might try to slip away.
But the ground was completely empty, let alone the shimmering Desert Eagle.
Tang Ming looked around and searched for a while, perplexed, "It was clearly kicked in this direction; where could it have gone?"
Moreover, there were supposed to be two, and the other one had also disappeared.
Lin Xue sneered:
"Stop playing around; my colleagues are here, so just come back to the station with me. Whether you’re guilty or not, we’ll find out from the investigation."
Sure enough, the sound of police sirens sounded outside the store, and soon after, four officers from the patrol team rushed in.
As these officers came in, Lin Xue felt relieved, pointed to the three figures on the ground, and said, "Take those who can move back, call an ambulance for those who can’t."
The three individuals were taken into the police car, and Tang Ming said to Lin Xue, "It has nothing to do with these two; taking them with you is useless, let them go home first."
"No, they were also present at the scene; we have questions for them as well."
Lin Xue was displeased with the attitude of missies like Li Xiaoli and Liu Mengting, so she was not willing to let them go at this time.
"Then you can take their statements right now; there’s no need to take them all back to the station. You know she is Liu Gaoze’s daughter; if you take her in, won’t your chief give you trouble? I’m thinking of you here,"
Tang Ming reminded her with a smile.
"Hmph."
Lin Xue thought about it and decided it wasn’t worth upsetting the higher-ups at the station over such trivial matters, especially considering the daughter of a social figure like Liu Gaoze was not easy to just take away. She then found an officer and instructed, "Take a statement from these two missies, and then they can go."
"No problem."
The officer took out a statement book from the car and started the inquiry.
Liu Mengting said to Tang Ming, who was ready to get into the car, "Tang Ming, I’ll have Dad get a lawyer to help you."
"It’s okay, I’ll be back soon; apart from Lin Xue the dummy, everyone else there understands."
Tang Ming smiled as he got into the car, but Lin Xue was fuming, irate that this guy dared to insult her under the guise of advice.
