Mrs Fox Heinous Revenge: Can You Love A Villainess like Me? -
Chapter 278: Different Strokes
Chapter 278: Different Strokes
Jiang NianNian doesn’t believe what she has made. She knew the designs were hers considering she had been the one to design them just days ago but to see them changed, and redesigned into perfection was enough to make her shocked beyond words.
If it was this piece...
If it is this piece, she could win.
No, she won’t only win. Everyone would be standing in lines, desperate to see her designs again. This is her design, this is hers. So she was still someone capable of creating masterpieces! She had always been talented, just a little unpolished, and now Li GuangSha was someone who would help her polish all her designs.
"In a week’s count we will be busy creating the dress," said Li GuangSha to her and she turned to the clock, "But for today let’s put a halt on this, what do you say? You look tired too these days."
"What about the other designs, would you still redesign them for me?" Jiang NianNian asked instead, brushing away the earlier questions as she was more focused on what she wanted from Li GuangSha. "You will... right?"
Li GuangSha watched her face which was colored in disappointment and then let out a smile, "Of course, I will. But it’s late tonight, I’ll go back to my office and sleep."
Jiang NianNian nodded eagerly, resting, sleeping, eating, whatever it was if it was to satisfy Li GuangSha and make sure the girl would stay beside her as her commodity, she didn’t care whatever it was that Li GuangSha needed. Hell, she will even fulfill it for her.
Li GuangSha let out a yawn and dragged herself out of her office, "Well then good night Miss Jiang. We will see each other again tomorrow."
"Yes," Jiang NianNian answered excitedly. She then walked out when Li GuangSha noticed a bottle of medicine that she had forgotten and took it to her hands.
"You forgot something Miss Jiang," said Li GuangSha, shaking the bottle in front of her and upon seeing it, Jiang NianNian briefly showed a panic as her eyes widened.
She rushed, taking the bottle from Li GuangSha’s hands, and quickly pulled the bottle close to her heart, "Oh, oh thank you, I almost forgot this."
"Don’t worry," Li GuangSha answered as she lazily pulled her own bag and walked toward her office.
Jiang NianNian clutched the medicine closer, wondering if Li GuangSha had seen it but it shouldn’t matter as the label on the medicine bottle was fake after all. Though still somewhat worried, Jiang NianNian looked at Li GuangSha who had just entered her office and from the glass walls, she could see how Li GuangSha had immediately thrown her bag and rested on the couch, closing her eyes.
A sudden curiosity spiked in Jiang NianNian’s heart as she walked toward Li GuangSha’s office, her body sneaked into the room slowly as she whispered, "Miss Li."
There was no answer in return and curious, she had asked again, "Miss Li."
This time louder, "Miss Li!"
But Li GuangSha was fast asleep, her body unmoved and her eyes tightly shut. She had even let out a snore, though not loud it did sound like someone who was extremely exhausted and wouldn’t be awoken unless someone had slapped her awake.
Jiang NianNian closed the door behind her, looking at Li GuangSha before shaking her hand in front of her face, and only after she made sure the girl was asleep did she look around the room. Her eyes wandered at her desk and her hands began to investigate the papers that she could see.
There was nothing that could strike her interest as everything looked rather normal and even unimpressive. It was simply work that was passed to her by the lazy designers who didn’t want to do paperwork.
Seeing this Jiang NianNian thought to admonish them. Not because she cared but rather because she wanted Li GuangSha to focus all her time and energy only on helping her designs for the competition.
Then something caught her eyes as it was a pale pink folder that Li GuangSha seemed to take care of so well considering how it was in such a pristine condition despite the wear and tear showing that it had been used for a very long time.
She had curiously flipped the page, her eyes scanning it only to widen as the number of masterpiece designs filled and cramped into one folder. It was all gorgeous, all enough to shock anyone who saw it to the core until their lips would part in shock and surprise. But this... This... this was much better than hers. It was something she could never accomplish other than geniuses.
She then looked at Li GuangSha who was asleep before pulling her phone to take a video of all the designs, except one which she had pulled out from the folder as this was the best out of all the best designs that Li GuangSha had stored away.
She gulped, wondering why Li GuangSha had never published them. Maybe because she didn’t have enough money yet to support herself?
But what about these designs? If she had really just taken Li GuangSha’s designs she would win, without a second question.
But at the same time, it would raise an eyebrow at how genuine the designs were considering it was far from her usual style. Should she... steal it? Pretend she doesn’t need it first and then uses it later?
Follow Li GuangSha’s plan or... Or...
Jiang NianNian folded the design paper neatly before stuffing it to her bag. She nervously checked if Li GuangSha was still asleep before turning to leave the room. She decided to think about it later and for now follow Li GuangSha’s plan. After all even without these designs, she could still win the competition... right.
"Whatever," Jiang NianNian whispered when she saw her phone that had started ringing again and when she had looked at who it is, she noticed that her mother had called her which made her eyebrows to raise.
Meanwhile it had been three days since Li Ai’s incident. All the perpetrator had been caught and brought to prison and since they have messed with the wrong person, they had no choice but to suffer in the worse prison of Beijing, the one filled with gang members and other known serial killers put behind bars.
But they weren’t the problem, it was the warden who wouldn’t hesitate to physical harm and even outright kill them.
AiLin who had received the news from YanLan didn’t react. After all those people were simply getting what they had deserved. But the worries she had lied instead on LiAi who was still unconscious. Though she hadn’t had terribly wounded her head, she had fell from the hill and the height had caused her concussion to be rather on the bad side.
She could only sit and pray, holding her hands together as she read prayers before her eyes.
Her mother, Hua Valentine had also came. She had been shocked when she found out LiAi’s existence but nonetheless welcoming as this was the granddaughter that her daughter had brought in.
Samuel and Vicky had also came, all of them happy about LiAi’s existence but also worried about her condition.
"AiLin, you have a shooting today right?"
"Ah, I plan to cancel it," AiLin answered Vicky who had looked at her in worry.
"You should go," Samuel answered her, "I’ll drive you there. Since mother is here, you don’t have to worry about the girl. She would be taken care of."
"But..."
Madam Hua patted her hand, "I know you are worried dear but you hadn’t taken any rest and though work isn’t important right now, I think you need to take a break from everything that’s going on even if it’s only for a little while. I know acting is a way for you to release your stresses."
AiLin who had been exhausted and dispirited could only nod weakly as she felt her entire world ruined every day while waiting for LiAi to be awake again. She could only look at LiAi who was asleep on the bed, her eyes closing tight. With a brief sigh of sadness, AiLin had no choice but to turn away slowly, following Samuel who had walked her out of the hospital rom.
Samuel wasn’t a man of much words. Perhaps because he knew he was in no position to talk much considering how their family had always struggled under his grandmother’s pressure. Unlike Vicky, he was also rather unfriendly though he clearly seemed to be a kind man like the rest of her family.
Samuel had opened the door seat for her and she saw how his eyes seemed to be full of worry which somehow put her at ease.
She answered him with a small nod and entered the car, sitting at the passenger seat and no less than a minute, he had sat beside her, driving the car in a steady pace.
"I heard Zi Chen hadn’t visited you the past three days," Samuel started and she nodded.
"He must be busy with everything that had been happening," she hadn’t seen him and though it worry her, she had reasoned that his missing was out of all the aftermath that he had to take care. "I still can contact him so it’s all right."
Samuel frowned, "It’s not alright. In time like this, he’s supposed to be beside you."
But AiLin could only turn to Samuel with a weak smile, "I can’t ask him for that, Samuel. I can’t simply tell him to be beside me now when that child isn’t his daughter.... I should be grateful that at least he doesn’t look at me with disgust for having a child that isn’t his."
