"Daddy, why do we have to move? Isn’t it good living here?"

Fu Shinian gazed deeply at her because of that remark but, in the end, he didn’t ask what ’it’s all the same’ meant, presumably because it wasn’t the answer he wanted to hear. So, he let it go.

Whether it was past issues with the Wen Family or recent work, Su Mu indeed had less time with Qiqi. Today the studio was closed; Su Mu didn’t have to work, so she decided to stay home with Qiqi without going anywhere. Fu Shinian originally had the same intention but ended up going to the company; the trip to the Maldives had been a last-minute schedule, and there was a lot of work piled up at the office needing his attention.

Before leaving, Qiqi noticed Fu Shinian’s reluctance and kissed him on the cheek:

"Daddy, be good at work, and I’ll come find you for lunch with Mom."

Fu Shinian slightly raised his eyebrows and agreed before Su Mu could correct Qiqi: "Okay, I will have Song Yi come to pick you up."

After saying this and not giving Su Mu a chance to refuse, he left. Su Mu looked at Qiqi, disapproving of her expression, but Qiqi just shrugged her shoulders, not thinking it was a big deal~

Before going to the Maldives, something had happened that Jiang Bei had never asked about, and Su Mu also just greeted him and left. Now back, she felt the need to see him; after calling and learning he was at home, she took Qiqi there, only to find Wei Shaoqin there as well.

Su Mu chuckled, walked over and sat down next to Jiang Bei: "Why do you have time to come here today?"

"Does it make a difference? Whether it’s for Qiqi or for myself, we’ll be living together."

"It makes no difference, but I suspect your feelings might be different." Jiang Bei smiled: "But that’s nothing to worry about; even if it’s for Qiqi now, in the future, you’ll genuinely want to be with him again, I’ve seen over these years, Fu Shinian is like a poison placed within you, something that can’t be completely removed."

Su Mu thought about it but stayed silent.

Jiang Bei patted her shoulder:

After the two had lunch, neither had the intention to return home and decided to take a stroll in a nearby mall. Neither had anything specific to buy; they just wanted to take a walk and digest the food, but unexpectedly, this simple time led them to encounter people they did not want to see.
