Chapter 321: Hello, Mr. Fu

Chapter 321: Chapter 321: Hello, Mr. Fu

Xu Yansu hooked Fu Shinian’s arm, smiling apologetically at Su Mu:

"Miss Su, I’m really sorry for delaying you all for so long because of us. But rest assured, I will definitely make up for your losses today."

Su Mu smiled, looking at her:

"Don’t worry about it. After all, the contract clearly states that there will be an extra charge for wasted time. But now that you are here, let’s not delay any further. I’ll have the makeup artist get started on you."

Su Mu beckoned Lisa over, but Xu Yansu didn’t seem to be in a hurry to leave. She glanced at Fu Shinian, full of pride and joy:

"Miss Su, you haven’t met my fiancé, have you? Let me introduce him. This is my fiancé, Fu Shinian."

Su Mu looked at Fu Shinian and after a few seconds, smiled faintly:

"Hello, Mr. Fu."

Fu Shinian looked at her, his gaze deep: "Hello, Su Mu."

This appellation startled not just Su Mu but also Xu Yansu. Before Su Mu could say anything, Xu Yansu’s doubtful gaze was already moving between them, and her tone was somewhat disbelieving:

"Shinian, you know Miss Su?"

"One year ago, at Ji Nanfeng’s wedding, we met briefly."

Fu Shinian’s words gave Xu Yansu a slight recollection—that person who accidentally bumped into them before entering the venue. She looked at Su Mu excitedly: "So it was you! No wonder you looked familiar the first time I saw you. We actually have met before."

Su Mu smiled shallowly:

"I’m sorry, I don’t remember."

"That makes sense, you’re so busy, naturally you wouldn’t remember such a trivial episode." Xu Yansu finished speaking and then looked at Fu Shinian with a somewhat forced smile, "But my fiancé has always had a good memory. It’s been over a year and he still remembers."

Su Mu didn’t know if Xu Yansu’s words had any implications, but she was already out of mood and energy to guess anything. Looking at Lisa, she spoke softly:

"Please take them to makeup."

Lisa had been waiting on the side, and hearing what Su Mu said, she politely invited the two to proceed. Xu Yansu hooked Fu Shinian’s arm, smiling slightly:

"Shinian, let’s go."

Su Mu watched their retreating figures and immediately stepped out of the warehouse. The weather today was pleasant, to the point that the inside felt a bit stuffy. Luckily, the warehouse was abandoned, essentially open on all sides, not too insufferable. The crew was making final adjustments in the shooting area, and Su Mu stood at the door quietly watching for a while, her mind empty, utterly clueless what she was thinking until Sun Le walked over and talked to her about communicating with the school. That was when she suddenly came back to herself.

"Miss Su, are you listening?"

Su Mu snapped back to reality, smiling faintly: "What is it?"

"I just said, the school side has no problems now, we can have the entire day tomorrow to ourselves."

"That’s great."

Sun Le looked at Su Mu, not entirely convinced that she was alright but not knowing what else to say. He prepared to leave but was stopped just as he took a step, by Su Mu saying:

"Sun Le, I remember you smoke, right?"

Sun Le was taken aback:

"No... is that not okay?"

"There’s nothing wrong with it." Su Mu was amused by his expression, "I just wanted to borrow a cigarette from you."

This time, Sun Le didn’t just pause for a moment, but was somewhat stunned. He looked at Su Mu, "You’re going to smoke?"

Su Mu didn’t want to elaborate:

"So, will you lend me one?"

Sun Le didn’t dare refuse, so he took out his own cigarettes and lighter and handed them over. Su Mu pulled out a cigarette from the pack, then took the lighter and smiled faintly:

"Okay, I’ll return the lighter to you later. Go on with your work."

Sun Le left somewhat uneasily. Su Mu then walked towards the work truck parked nearby. She did not get in but went around to the other side, to a corner that would not be noticed, and leaned against the vehicle’s side to light the cigarette in her hand. Su Mu felt that a girl smoking was not a big deal, but seeing Sun Le’s expression just now, she thought it was best to avoid it as much as possible.

Leaning against the vehicle, she looked out at the desolate scenery in front of her, quietly blowing smoke rings. Her heart was not at peace, but this calm had nothing to do with Fu Shinian. Instead, she was thinking about the words Wen Han had told her the night before last, which kept echoing in her mind like a curse. She had to admit that if she stayed single, it would definitely not be good for Qiqi.

But now, she really didn’t feel like considering these things.

Looking back unintentionally, she saw Lin Ning and Fu Shinian talking at the entrance of the warehouse. There were no other people around, just the two of them. The distance was too far for Su Mu to hear what they were saying, but even from afar, their demeanor did not seem like that of people meeting for the first time.

After a while, Fu Shinian walked away, and Lin Ning started walking towards Su Mu. As Lin Ning saw Su Mu looking at her, she smiled, and her candidness made Su Mu feel like she might be overthinking things.

"Sister Su, what are you doing here? I’ve been looking for you for quite a while."

Having finished the last puff, Su Mu crushed the cigarette butt underfoot: "Is everything ready?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

"Good, I’ll be right there."

As she walked side by side with Lin Ning towards the warehouse, Su Mu suddenly stopped and asked Lin Ning, "What were you and Mr. Fu talking about just now?"

Lin Ning was taken aback for a moment but then quickly replied:

"Nothing much, Mr. Fu was just asking when we might finish."

Su Mu smiled and didn’t say anything more.

When Su Mu returned to the warehouse, Xu Yansu had already changed into her outfit: a long, bright red dress with a high slit, paired with a short black leather jacket. Her hair was styled into sexy, big waves by the hairdresser, and the makeup was heavy yet impactful, exuding a wild charm. Fu Shinian hadn’t changed his clothes, nor had he put on makeup. Su Mu gave him a quick once-over, from top to bottom. Dressed all in black, he seemed quite fitting, so she didn’t comment further.

She took the camera from Lin Ning’s hands:

"Let’s start."

The first backdrop was under an old, small window inside the warehouse, where a heavy-duty motorcycle was placed. The scene alone was already brimming with a wild vibe.

Su Mu asked Xu Yansu and Fu Shinian to walk over. As Xu Yansu stepped forward, Fu Shinian didn’t move. Instead, he sat down on Su Mu’s personalized chair. When Xu Yansu realized that Fu Shinian hadn’t followed, Su Mu had already spoken:

"Mr. Fu, did you not understand what I said?"

With others present, Su Mu couldn’t voice her dissatisfaction too clearly. However, Fu Shinian still heard a full load of sarcasm and displeasure from her tone, as he slightly curved his lips into a smile:

"Let’s start with the solo shots first. I’ll watch from the side, since I have no experience with photo shoots."
