Chapter 746: 732, The Feeling of Falling in Love (1)_1 Chapter 746: 732, The Feeling of Falling in Love (1)_1 “Splash!” Water splashed everywhere.

Everyone looked surprised, looking in the direction of the noise.

“Oh my god, who fell into the swimming pool?”

“Look! Someone fell into the pool.”

Mingyan struggled in the pool for a moment, quickly regaining her composure.

She scanned the crowd around the pool, her eyes landed on a redhead woman, sneering to herself from deep within her heart.

It seemed she had been taken for a pushover.

The redhead and Lillian exchanged a glance, their eyes gleamed with a triumphant smirk, a look of relishing in the spectacle, directed towards Mingyan’s soggy state.

Well, they were wrong to think that Mingyan acted superior just because she came with Mister Bai. She was not that impressive after all.

“Isn’t that the lady who came with Mister Bai?” Someone recognized Mingyan beside the pool and promptly asked his companion to inform Bai Jue.

“Miss Mingyan, are you alright? How could you be so careless?” Lillian looked down at Mingyan with a feigned worried expression.

“It’s cold, you’d better get out so you don’t freeze.”

The redhead woman swirled her wine glass, in a secluded corner, confronting Mingyan with a provocative gaze.

Her brother chimed in, “Yes, indeed. Miss Mingyan, you should be careful when walking in high heels. This water is freezing.”

Mingyan gave them an icy glare. The pool wasn’t deep, the water reaching just past her waistline

She raised her hand to hold on to the pool railing, preparing to get up. As she did, she noticed her empty wrist and her face changed color.

Her bracelet!

Did it fall into the pool when she fell?

Thinking of this, she dove back into the pool. The icy water did nothing to quench the fury simmering in her heart.

If she couldn’t find her bracelet, she would make those two women pay.

Everyone exchanged puzzled glances, not understanding why Mingyan had gone back into the pool.

“That’s strange, why did she go back in?”

The redhead woman glanced at Mingyan’s athletic figure moving in the pool, she scoffed. “Perhaps she wanted to take a swim, and that’s why she jumped in deliberately.”

Mingyan had no time to acknowledge her ridicule. Instead, she was frantically searching for her bracelet.

Breaking the water’s surface, she took a deep breath, then plunged back in again.

Her bracelet, her bracelet.

“Mister Bai is here!”

“Mister Bai is here, make way.”

Seeing Bai Jue hurrying over, everyone quickly made a path for him.

His face was stern as his eyes met the woman moving within the pool. His usual playful smirk completely vanished, “Mingyan!”

In the pool, hearing Bai Jue’s voice, Mingyan paused, then quickly surfaced, her breath slightly irregular.

“Bai Jue!”

Her small face was pale, eyes filled with worry. Her black hair clung messily to her cheeks, looking utterly disheveled.

Bai Jue furrowed his brows, turning to Bern, “get a towel.”

Bern nodded and turned to leave.

“Mingyan, get up.” Bai Jue crouched down, extending his hand towards her.

Seeing Bai Jue, the grievance that Mingyan had been suppressing bubbled over, “Bai Jue, my bracelet fell into the pool, I can’t find it.”

Her delicate voice held a hint of a whimper.

Bai Jue’s gaze darkened, spotting the lack of the bracelet on her wrist; the same one he retrieved before.

“You get up first, I’ll find it.”

Mingyan shook her head, “You know how important that bracelet is to me, I have to find it.”

“Mister Bai, here you go.” Bern came back, holding a large towel.

Taking hold of the large towel, Bai Jue lowered his gaze towards Mingyan, his tone unyielding. “Mingyan, get out. I promise I’ll find your bracelet.”

His authoritative tone left no room for rejection. Feeling deflated, Mingyan walked over to the edge, reaching out for Bai Jue’s hand.

With a little force, Bai Jue easily pulled her up. Water splashed up, droplets splattering onto his stern face.

Mingyan was soaked, her loose clothing clung tightly to her body, revealing her petite, exquisite figure. Bai Jue’s face darkened further. He spread out the large towel, wrapping her in it.

“Wait here.”

The moment his words fell, Bai Jue dived into the pool.

Splash.

Rippling waves surged upward, leaving everyone astounded.

Mingyan watched Bai Jue moving around the pool, her expression turned blank.

Bai Jue…

From the sidelines, seeing Bai Jue dive into the pool, Lillian’s eyes flashed jealousy.

“Lillian, this…” Just as the redhead was about to speak, she met Lillian’s hostile gaze and was immediately silenced.

Under the poolside lights, a glint of brightness twinkled in the corner of the pool.

Bai Jue’s eyes brightened, he quickly went over, bent down and retrieved the misplaced bracelet from the corner. He studied the bracelet in his palm and slightly curled the corners of his lips.

He thought to himself, this was the second time he picked up this bracelet.

Remembering Mingyan, who was waiting at the pool edge, he turned around. Raising his eyes to the woman standing by the pool, “Mingyan, I’ve found your bracelet.”

Showing his open palm, the simplistic yet elegant bracelet dangling on his fingers. Mingyan hurriedly glanced over the bracelet, her gaze eventually settling on the handsome face of the man.

His charming smile dazzled her.

That moment, her heart pounded unusually, the feeling was strangely overwhelming.

Not until Bai Jue climbed out of the pool did she snap back to reality.

“Here you go. Make sure you don’t lose it again.” Bai Jue raised her hand and placed the bracelet in her palm.

Mingyan looked at her retrieved bracelet, waves of relief washed over her, replacing the hollow emptiness she previously felt.

This was the second time he had helped her to recover the bracelet.

“Dumbass, how did you end up in the pool?” Bai Jue rolled up his damp sleeves and gently tapped her head with his fingertips.

Although he sounded irritated, she couldn’t help but detect a hint of doting in his voice.

Mingyan responded by perfecting her grip on the bracelet.

“Of course I was tricked by some despicable rat.”

She replied in Chinese. Among those there, very few could understand the conversation between her and Bai Jue.

“Despicable rat?” Bai Jue frowned, his icy gaze scanned the surrounding people. Anyone who locked eyes with him involuntarily stepped back.

Even though they were not close to Bai Jue, anyone who was on first name terms with him was no simple person.

To them, making Bai Jue an enemy would be an absolute catastrophe.

“Who?”

Mingyan counter-questioned, “Bai Jue, would it be a problem for you if I beat some people up here?”

“Whoever this rat is, even if you straight up mutilate them, I’ll have your back.” Bai Jue declared.

Mingyan, “Thanks.”

Although this situation also involved him to some extent. But considering he helped her find the bracelet, she would let it slide.

Waving his hand, Bai Jue sat back, ready to observe who was brave or foolish enough to provoke the person he brought along.
