Chapter 745: 731, Party Provocation (5) _1 Chapter 745: 731, Party Provocation (5) _1 Zhan Mingyan mustered her courage and began to speak, “Actually, the other day in…”

Her words were interrupted by the ringing of a cell phone.

Bai Jue took out his phone. It was a call from Jian Luo.

“Wait a second, I need to take this call.”

Zhan Mingyan nodded, watching him answer the call, feeling somewhat disappointed.

“A party?”

“Okay, I got it. I’ll be there soon.”

He didn’t specify what had been said on the other end of the line, but Bai Jue readily agreed.

After ending the call, Bai Jue tucked the phone back into his pocket, picked up a helmet and handed it to Zhan Mingyan, “Put this on, I’m taking you somewhere.”

“What?” Zhan Mingyan looked at the helmet he had pushed into her arms with a confused expression.

Bai Jue: “We’re going to grab a bite.”

Seeing that she still hadn’t moved, Bai Jue urged her, “What are you waiting for? Get in.”

“Okay.”

Zhan Mingyan put on the helmet, the light in her eyes dimming slightly.

She gripped his waist tightly as they drove, her mood sinking.

She had finally mustered up the courage to tell him how she felt, only to feel like she had messed up once again.

The car pulled up in front of a villa in the suburbs. Zhan Mingyan was still trying to process the sight of the villa when Bai Jue pulled her inside.

“Hey, Bai Jue, slow down.”

Remembering that she was injured, Bai Jue slowed his pace.

He seemed particularly familiar with this villa, as if he had been here many times before.

“Well, well, Mr. Bai actually brought a beauty along,” a man holding a cup of wine approached, his eyes landing on the woman by Bai Jue’s side as he teased.

Bai Jue reached out and smacked his shoulder, “Knock it off.”

Zhan Mingyan recognized the man as the curly-haired guy she had seen at the bar. He had arrived with Bai Jue that night.

“Mr. Bai, is she your girlfriend?” another man asked.

“Don’t spew nonsense, she’s a friend of mine,” Bai Jue responded with a smile and a scolding.

The man seemed rather close with Bai Jue, joking around without any hesitation, “Well, a girlfriend is also a friend, isn’t she?”

“One more word out of you and I’ll punch you,” Bai Jue teased, patting his shoulder. “This is my friend, Zhan Mingyan.”

Having said that, he turned to Zhan Mingyan and introduced his friends, “This is Bern, and the curly-haired guy over there is Aust.”

“Hello, I’m Zhan Mingyan,” she greeted them with a polite smile.

“Hello, there’s a BBQ happening by the swimming pool. Come join us,” Bern invited.

Bai Jue, pulling at her arm, said, “Let’s go.”

“Okay.”

Laughter echoed around the outdoor swimming pool. Groups of young men and women were gathered together, chatting and laughing. Some people were responsible for grilling BBQ at the side.

“What would you like to eat?” Bai Jue picked up a plate, looked at Zhan Mingyan, and asked.

“Anything is fine,” she replied.

Bai Jue filled a plate with BBQ and got her a drink, then led her to a seat.

“Eat slowly. Help yourself to whatever you like.”

Looking at the BBQ on the plate, Zhan Mingyan nodded her head.

“Mr. Bai, come over here,” a group of men not far away called out to Bai Jue.

Bai Jue responded, “You eat slowly. I’m going to chat with them. If you need anything, just call me.”

“Okay.”

Bai Jue left with his cup of wine.

Having raced with Bai Jue for several hours, Zhan Mingyan was starving and began to devour the BBQ on her plate.

Suddenly, there was a mocking laugh from across the table.

“So, you’re the woman Bai Jue brought along?”

Raising her eyes, Zhan Mingyan saw two provocatively dressed women sitting across from her.

Seeing they meant no good, Zhan Mingyan put down her fork and wiped her mouth.

“What’s the matter?”

“Ah, she speaks German,” the blonde woman cast a scornful gaze at Zhan Mingyan, her voice mocking.

“Is there a problem? If not, please leave. Don’t interrupt my meal,” Zhan Mingyan coldly responded, without any courtesy.

“Are you getting cocky just because of Bai Jue?” The woman with burgundy-colored hair jeered.

“Don’t tell me you really think you’re Bai Jue’s girlfriend. Let me tell you something, Bai Jue has never been short of female companions. You’re just one of the many. Soon he will get tired of you and leave you.”

The light in Zhan Mingyan’s eyes dimmed, and her hands clenched into fists.

“Well, let me be blunt. I too, have been with Bai Jue before. Even though it was only for a month, he was very gentle with me,” the blonde woman leaned in to whisper in her ear.

“Especially in bed. He was even more tender. It’s something I won’t forget in this lifetime.”

Zhan Mingyan’s pupils contracted slightly and her lips tightened.

“Hehe, Lillian, look at her. Her face has changed color,” the redhead woman giggled.

“Little girl, let me give you a word of advice. Don’t you ever fantasize about having Bai Jue for the rest of your life. He would never stay put for any woman,” Lillian declared, standing up and looking down on her mockingly.

Zhan Mingyan glanced indifferently at the two women, picked up her phone, and rose to leave.

Lillian smirked and signaled to the redhead woman.

The redhead woman, getting the hint, glanced around surreptitiously, then stood up and subtly moved a step forward, extending her long, high-heeled leg.

“Ah!”

Lost in thought, Zhan Mingyan failed to notice the leg suddenly sticking out and tripped over it. She lurched forward, about to fall.
