Chapter 732: 718, Entered the Wolf’s Den (2) _1 Chapter 732: 718, Entered the Wolf’s Den (2) _1 After saying that, she took the opportunity to run, sprinting wildly without daring to pause.
“After her, catch that damn bitch for me, I’m going to kill her.” The tattooed man’s cheeks were flushed red, and his eyes were filled with bloodshot rage as he growled out.
The big-bearded man and the scar-faced man exchanged a look then hurried to follow him in pursuit.
“Move, move.”
Mingyan ran for her life, at this moment feeling extremely grateful for her time in the military, otherwise, she might not have made it a few steps before being caught.
“Get out of my way.”
Mingyan spared a moment to glance back, seeing the hideous expression on the man leading the chase, she couldn’t help but spew curses.
“Fuck, these persistent bastards!”
Seeing that the men were about to catch up, Mingyan’s face turned serious. Catching sight of a restaurant, she quickly made a plan.
She dashed into the restaurant, shouting all the while.
“Help me, save me! There’s a robbery happening!”
The waiter at the door, seeing Mingyan rush into the restaurant in panic and hearing the word “robbery”, was instantly flustered.
“A robbery, who’s doing a robbery?”
“Out of the way, all you dumbasses. Think you can stop me,” growled the tattooed man, kicking aside the waiter who was blocking the entrance.
“Boss!”
The waiter looked up at the men who had followed Mingyan into the restaurant, hastily stepping aside and barely daring to breathe.
“Watch the door, don’t let that woman escape. You’ll answer to me if she does,” the tattooed man threatened ominously.
“Yes sir.”
The waiter stole a glance at the man with the tattoo, noticing his blistered cheeks, laughing on the inside.
“Mond, no need to rush. Now that she’s run in here, she’s practically trapped.” The bearded man smirked.
This was their territory, no one dared to cross them here.
Mond, the tattooed man, gave a cruel smile, waving for the manager.
“Clear out the guests, we’re temporarily closing.”
“Understood.” The manager, used to this situation by now, respectfully followed the orders, glancing at the bearded man and the scar-faced man again.
Thankfully, there weren’t many patrons at the restaurant. According to Mond’s instruction, the manager quickly had the restaurant emptied out.
Mingyan ran upstairs. Given the distance, all she saw was the tattooed man speaking a few words with the manager, and then all the customers were cleared out.
Even she, dense as she was, managed to figure it out. This restaurant was connected to the tattooed man and he likely held a great deal of authority over the place.
Her lips quivered.
How unlucky could she get? Running into a gang of thugs was bad enough, now she’d managed to run straight into the wolf’s den. She was really in deep trouble now.
“Bitch, you sure know how to run, don’t you? Well, keep it up.” Mond stood below, his gaze drifting up to Mingyan who had stopped running, his tone was triumphant.
Mingyan pulled out her cell phone, immediately thinking of Bai Jue, she called him without hesitation.
Damn you Bai Jue, pick up the phone, please.
Mond and his men exchanged glances at the sight of her calling someone, then immediately rushed upstairs.
The sound of hurrying footsteps, men laughing inappropriately growing closer, Mingyan felt sweat beading on her palms, her eyes watching cautiously as the men climbed up the spiral staircase.
The call was answered after just a few rings.
A hopeful gleam appeared in Mingyan’s eyes; without waiting for him to answer, she hurriedly said: “Bai Jue, come save me, I’m in trouble.”
On the other end of the call, Bai Jue had just left the bathroom. Hearing Mingyan’s call for help, his playful eyes narrowed dangerously.
“Where are you?”
“In a Western Restaurant. It’s called…” Mingyan looked around. Spotting the name of the restaurant on a nearby menu, she found her voice again. “Starry Sky Restaurant. Hurry over.”
Bai Jue’s brows furrowed, and he picked up the pace. “Hold on.”
She hung up the phone, only to see that the three men had reached the second floor.
Since she was speaking in Chinese, Mond’s crew had no idea who she just called. The scar-faced man glared at Mingyan and asked in a hostile tone, “Did you call the police?”
“So what if I did? Aren’t you fearless?” She subtly moved back, stalling for time for Bai Jue to arrive.
“Ignore her, just capture her first,” Mond said, kicking a chair out of his way and focused his eyes on Mingyan with a twisted gaze.
Without another word, the three men advanced toward her.
Mingyan picked up a wine bottle next to her, keeping a watch on the three men, ready to attack at any moment.
“Don’t come any closer, or I won’t hesitate to use this.”
“Heh!”
Mond gave a scornful laugh, “Bitch, you might want to get your bearings straight. This is my territory. Behave and serve us, and maybe I’ll let you off. But cross me, and you’re in for a world of pain.”
“Get lost!”
Mingyan saw the scar-faced man lunging at her. With agile reflexes, she dodged to the side. The wine bottle in her hand did not hesitate to come down onto his head.
The swift movement surprised the three men.
Crash!
The wine bottle shattered. Time seemed to freeze; silence hung heavily in the air.
The scar-faced man felt pain in his head. He raised a hand to touch it, his fingers met something warm and wet. Looking down at his hand, he saw it was blood.
His expression darkened, and he looked up at Mingyan. His eyes were blood shot, as if he wished to kill her.
“You bitch, dare to hurt me?”
Mingyan held the neck of the bottle, the bottom end unevenly serrated and bloody, pointed at the scar-faced man. “So what if I hurt you? Try touching me again, and I’ll kill you for real.”
Mond noted Mingyan’s defensive pose, and his eyes darkened “Did you receive training, you slut?
For those like them who were used to fighting all the time, beating someone up became a daily matter. Yet this woman managed to outrun them the length of a street without stopping, and even managed to injure his buddy now. Her proficiency suggested she had received regular training.
“Is it any of your business? Get out of my way or else your faces will be sore when my backup arrives.” Mingyan warned, brandishing the half-bottle before her.
“We’ll see how much of a slut you are under us when he gets here.” Mond uttered with a twisted smile, producing a dagger from his waist.
The unsheathed dagger glistened ominously under the chandelier, causing Mingyan to tense and step back against the railing. Looking behind, she realized she had no way to retreat.
“You’re good at fighting, aren’t you?”
Mond advanced on her, dagger in hand, his smile wild as he saw her trapped at the railing.
“Come on, fight me.”
Mingyan clenched her hands into fists, made up her mind.
If it’s death, so be it.
At least take a few down with her.
With that thought, she fixed her gaze on Mond and threw a punch.
“Hmph!”
Mond dodged her attack with a chuckle, retaliating with a swipe of his dagger.
The sharp blade was a breath away, grazing her coat.
Mingyan looked down at her arm to see a tear in her coat. A curse slipped from her lips.
“You bitch, you dare smash my head? You have no respect for life!”
As the scar-faced man reached for her, Mingyan was caught off guard, and he managed to grab her coat. She decided instantly to discard her coat, slipping out of it and freeing herself from his grasp.
