Chapter 731: 717, Street Stand Trouble (1)_1 Chapter 731: 717, Street Stand Trouble (1)_1 “Am I dumb?” Bai Jue pointed to himself, chuckling.

She got quite some nerve to call him an idiot.

Zhan Mingyan, who was no pushover, retorted, “Yes, you’re not only dumb but also blind, you narcissistic Peacock Man.”

“Tsk.” Bai Jue laughed without anger, “You don’t say. I must be cursed to run into you here.”

“Bai, come over here, a group of beauties is waiting for you.” A man being surrounded by a group of beautiful women raised his arm and shouted at Bai Jue.

Bai Jue looked at him and quickly averted his gaze, looking sideways at the woman next to him, “Wanna join the fun?”

“No need, I’d rather not hang out with a Peacock Man,” Zhan Mingyan shook her head, her shoulder-length black hair swaying in the air. She picked up her glass and left in the direction of Sanny with all her dignity.

Not giving it much thought, Bai Jue set out for the crowd of women.

Zhan Mingyan paused her steps, the scene she saw as she turned her head felt like being stabbed in the heart, a dull pain.

“Bai, as soon as you showed up, the girls stopped talking to me.” said the man who was sitting across from Bai Jue, grinning cheekily.

Bai Jue was surrounded by women on both sides, all of them with hot bodies, throwing themselves vigorously at him.

“Who can blame me when your charm doesn’t compare to mine.”

He took the glass of wine handed to him by one of the women and drank it all at once.

Zhan Mingyan watched Bai Jue enjoying himself in the company of other women. Her bright eyes gradually dimmed, and she averted her gaze with a pang of heartache.

She took a few steps forward, pulled Sanny aside and whispered in her ear, “Sanny, it’s getting late, I’m a little tired, I’m going back to the hotel to rest.”

“Are you feeling unwell?” Sanny inquired with concern.

Zhan Mingyan said, “No, I have been playing in Switzerland all these days. Just a little tired and I want to go back and rest early.”

“Need me to send someone to take you back?”

“No need, I can call a taxi myself.” Zhan Mingyan declined politely.

“Alright, take care on the way, we’ll get in touch tomorrow.”

“Sure, enjoy yourself. There’s no need to see me off.”

Having said that, Zhan Mingyan patted Sanny on the shoulder and walked away.

The blitz of colorful city lights and the blasting techno music gradually faded in the distance behind her.

When she got out of the bar, a gust of chilly air enveloped her. Zhan Mingyan pulled up her coat, took a deep breath, feeling her steps heavy.

Under the darkness of the night, a faint smell of chocolate wafted from a shop nearby. Observing the small groups of passers-by, Zhan Mingyan’s feelings grew complex.

She felt a sense of loneliness and loss…

She turned around, climbed the stairs and walked into a Starbucks. Soon, she came out holding a warm drink.

She looked up at the bench under a big tree not far away, brushed away the wilted leaves on it and sat down casually.

Leaning back in her seat, she looked at the sparse stars in the night sky. The image of Bai Jue surrounded by beautiful women played out before her eyes like a montage.

She sneered, as if laughing at her own foolishness.

“Zhan Mingyan, Zhan Mingyan, why can’t you live your life with more dignity? What’s so good about him that you just can’t give up. You are such a fool.”

She muttered to herself, the warm drink in her hand untouched. The vapors from the hot beverage blurred her expression, masking her reddened eyes.

“Hey, Oriental girl!”

Suddenly, a frivolous voice followed by a catcall rang out.

Zhan Mingyan lowered her head, a couple of pairs of men’s shoes came into view. She looked up and locked eyes with the men.

She instinctively didn’t like it and looked at them warily, speaking clear German, “I don’t know you, please go away.”

“What’s the rush, pretty lady, we just want to get to know you. You don’t have to be afraid of us.” The man in the lead was wearing short sleeves, revealing a tattoo on his arm. Just looking at him gave an impression of a bad guy.

“Exactly, we don’t often get to see such a beautiful Oriental lady. Let’s become friends {by way of getting to know each other.}” A man with a full beard on his chin said.

Zhan Mingyan looked at their lecherous grins, becoming increasingly sure that these men had ill intentions.

She stood up, intending to ignore them and leave as quickly as possible.

“Where are you rushing, pretty lady? Let us give you a lift. Our car is over there, it’s very convenient.” A man with a scar blocked her way and looked at her with a hint of malicious intent.

“No need, my boyfriend is waiting for me in that shop.” Zhan Mingyan, clutching her hot drink, pointed to the Starbucks she just came from.

Damn it! Had she known she wouldn’t have wandered the streets.

This was just her rotten luck.

“Really?” The man with tattooed arms moved closer. Under the streetlight, a gold necklace around his neck was gleaming, giving off a strong nouveau riche vibe.

“If I saw correctly a moment ago, you just left that shop. Why claim now that your boyfriend is waiting for you there? Are you trying to dupe us?”

Zhan Mingyan saw through his ill intentions. Feeling alarmed she said calmly, “I just had a quarrel with my boyfriend. I left early. If you keep blocking me, I’ll call the police.”

“Call the police?”

The men looked at each other and then at Zhan Mingyan, bursting into laughter.

“Hahaha!”

“Go ahead, call the police if you dare.” The bearded man sneered.

In their eyes, she is just a novice at living abroad, lonely and ignorant, even if they bullied her, they wouldn’t get into any real trouble.

Zhan Mingyan looked at their unscrupulous behavior and guessed that they had powerful backers.

The alarm bell rang in her heart while she was scanning her surroundings, looking for an opportunity to escape.

She lowered her head. The men thought she was scared and they moved even closer to her.

“Be a good girl and let us take you out, we don’t want to hurt you.” The tattooed man reached out to grab her.

Zhan Mingyan hardened her glare, and let fly the hot drink she was holding, splashing him in the face.

“You son of a bitch, go to hell.”

Caught off guard, the man got a face full of the hot drink. The still steaming coffee splashed all over his face. A touch caused him to break out in a cold sweat from the searing pain.

“Ah!”

“You little bitch, I’ll make you pay for splashing coffee on me.” His whole face had turned red from the coffee, bubbles forming on both cheeks. Paired with the fierce grimace on his face, he was terrifying.

Zhan Mingyan sneered, “So what if I splashed you? You’re a harasser!”
