Chapter 1623: Chapter 1623: High Intelligence Abomination

Roar!

Following the abomination’s frenzied howl, the Mountain Warrior’s powerful body was torn apart, countless sticky tentacles coated in mucus twisting as they absorbed the Mountain Warrior whole.

The health lost during the Mountain Warrior’s battle instantly recovered as its body was consumed, quickly returning to full.

Everyone could hardly believe their eyes. Such an incredibly strong Mountain Warrior was already a mid-tier leader, and though it transformed into a Mountain Giant with slightly lower rank, its ability level was nearly on par with the abomination—the gap wasn’t actually that vast.

In both strength and attack, the Mountain Warrior was clearly evenly matched with the abomination. People anticipated a spectacular clash of titans, but the fight ended far quicker than anyone expected.

Many players were still in shock. If such a powerful Mountain Warrior couldn’t defeat the horrifying abomination, then who could possibly stand a chance against it? Its enormous strength paired with its grotesque form, versatility, skill in corrosion and devouring—their coordination as monsters was absolutely seamless.

"Damn it, beast! Get ready to die!"

A cold and aloof female player enveloped in ice and snow, her face obscured, Blinked into the battlefield. She initially intended to team up with the Mountain Warrior, but the Mountain Warrior leaped past countless players, leaving her behind, and ultimately got killed. Their partnership didn’t even begin before the Mountain Warrior’s death left her fighting alone.

Still, she exuded confidence. As she spoke, snowflakes began drifting within a radius of hundreds of yards around her.

She immediately sprang into action, blue handprints rapidly forming.

Countless icy blades descended from the sky. The distorted monster and abomination launched countermeasures, breaking the falling blades apart. These ice blades were terrifying—the abomination initially underestimated them and ended up with dozens of gashes across its body. If it weren’t undead, it would have bled out and died solely from those wounds.

Even so, its disgusting, rotten flesh was turned outward in a horrifying display. The tentacles were slashed apart, spraying vile fluids everywhere.

"Damn it, Deepfreeze Mage." Undead may not fear cold, but the abomination felt the chilling threat posed by this frost—this was a more profound and advanced level of cold, hinting that she had already mastered some form of frost essence.

Trying to leave the region, the abomination soon realized that its feet were frozen solid. Unable to move, its attention shifted to a small beast nearby.

Ruuu... ruuuu...

Clad in a blue Ice Magic Robe, the icy wind howled against her, rendering her cold, exquisite visage faintly visible, like an ethereal snow goddess. Her handprints changed fluidly and skillfully, as if the Ice Goddess herself had descended.

A small white beast perched adorably on her shoulder, mimicking her handprint gestures with its two little paws, while its mouth emitted soft "ruuu" sounds. Clearly, the spell freezing the abomination had been cast by this creature.

"Wow, it’s Frost Whisper! My goddess has arrived!" A male player stared intently at the female mage, lovestruck.

"It really is Frost Whisper—the goddess herself!"

"She’s breathtaking, a vision of my ideal woman!"

"Dream on, someone like her wouldn’t spare you a glance, loser."

"She’s not just stunning—look how powerful she is!"

"How can you tell it’s her? She’s masked!" A female player shot a jealous glance at her boyfriend, who was gawking at the mage.

"Are you dumb? That cute, clumsy Shadow Pet has always been Frost Whisper’s signature companion. As if I wouldn’t recognize my goddess—is this a joke?" The male player was completely absorbed, ignoring the jealous inquiry from his girlfriend.

"Oh really? Your goddess, huh..." The female player’s hand moved toward the male player’s armpit.

"Ah! Wife, spare me! I was kidding!" The male player cried out in agony.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, just as everyone thought the abomination was controlled and ready for execution...

The ground suddenly trembled violently. Disgusting tentacles erupted from below, directly entangling Frost Whisper’s horns.

Her expression changed instantly as she activated Ice Barrier to encase herself in ice.

Crash! Crash!

The abomination’s hook lock flew forward, binding Frost Whisper, who was enshrouded in thick ice.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The abomination broke free from the ice at its feet, wildly swinging its chains to repeatedly slam the ice barrier encasing Frost Whisper into the ground.

Simultaneously, the abomination rampaged against the nearby formations, devouring numerous soldiers to restore its health and condition once again.

The shards of shattered ice killed many soldiers, and the ice finally reached its limit, fracturing under the strain.

Frost Whisper immediately canceled the barrier, but before she could Blink away, the chains tightened abruptly and locked her in place.

"You’re not getting away!" The abomination’s twisted face sneered as it yanked back its chains, pulling Frost Whisper closer.

"Substitute Mirror Image!"

Low on health, Frost Whisper quickly activated her Substitute Mirror Image, swapping herself into the military formation while she Blinked far from the abomination.

Crash!

Her mirror image shattered. The abomination didn’t pursue Frost Whisper, instead stomping the ground and launching itself like an artillery shell directly into the army lines, resuming its deadly rampage.

Several player teams exchanged uneasy glances. They had already lost too many members, yet they couldn’t stop this monster. Even their strongest—the Mountain Warrior and Frost Whisper—had proven ineffective. They were out of options; facing it meant certain death.

"Increase the military reward—double it, minimum. Only then will experts from our side step in!"

"Exactly! It’s critical—we’re on the brink of disaster. Raise it now or no one will take the risk!"

"The mission officer, raise the military points by double!"

The mission officer snorted coldly, looking hesitant and conflicted.

"There’s no need to raise anything. Do you think our legion lacks capable warriors?" Li Yao’s Guard Captain noticed Li Yao’s displeased expression and shouted, "Find out which teams and guilds these individuals belong to. Limit their access to good missions—place them at the bottom of priority lists indefinitely!"

"Understood." The mission officer, seeing Li Yao’s silence, quickly began recording names.

The originally loud-mouthed players instantly fell silent. Their attempts to manipulate the system were futile. Who needed such tactics? The notion was laughable—good missions always attracted plenty of players. They had been dreaming if they thought this strategy would work.

"Hahaha! Within the Scourge Legion, I don’t even rank in the top ten thousand, but here I am—unstoppable! No wonder the High Elves’ capital fell, crushed beneath our army’s boots. And today, seeing how weak you are, I’m convinced! I heard your so-called Withered Sun Legion has been formed—your commander, a feeble rookie soldier. Why hasn’t he come out to die yet? Is he hiding in fear? Perhaps he can’t even survive a single strike from me!"

The abomination rampaged while roaring mocking taunts.

Li Yao’s close guards were seething with fury, but Li Yao merely chuckled lightly. "This undead is clever—truly an exceptional case among abominations. Stand ready as an escort. Watch me carve out its Undead Core and see how it differs from ordinary specimens."

As Li Yao spoke, he tapped his toe on the Black Horned Dragon’s back, launching himself forward. His wings unfurled behind him as he soared straight toward the abomination...
