Chapter 1536: Chapter 1536: Embarrassment
The Starfire Team is okay, but the viewers are so envious of this pet’s attributes that their eyes are turning red.
Shadow Pets, these are rarer than dark gold equipment, unlike ordinary pets and combat pets, they are akin to a piece of equipment, but one with great potential for customization. Good Shadow Pets are considered by players to be akin to Divine Artifacts.
The key point is, this is a fresh novelty, and up to now, there are less than ten Shadow Pets on the Shadow Pet leaderboard. This shows how rare they are.
Viewers can only see these attributes, they can’t see the specific growth attributes, but leaving attributes aside, just the look of it has charmed countless female viewers watching the live stream.
The Starfire folks get to see all the pet’s information.
Pet Growth Information
Life: 1% (increases the player’s maximum life by 1% with each level up)
Mana: 1% (increases the player’s maximum mana by 1% with each level up)
Spell Casting Speed: 1% (increases by 1% for every three levels up)
Spell Intensity: 1% (increases by 1% for every three levels up)
Every level up grants 3 free stat points which can be used to increase Strength, Agility, Stamina, Spirit, Power, etc., with a maximum attribute limit of 30%, which can be unlocked through corresponding tasks based on the Shadow Beast’s breed.
Every five levels, randomly unlock a passive skill.
Every ten levels, randomly unlock an active skill.
Even with mental preparation, the dreadful growth potential of the pet makes everyone in Starfire full of envy.
"This is indeed a treasure that one wouldn’t trade for a Divine Artifact, it’s just..." Feng Yi silently did some calculations: "That means, after the pet reaches level sixty, the life limit would have increased by 160%, plus 20% increase in casting speed and spell intensity, and the scary part is the free points in those attributes, a total increase of over 40% in overall attributes."
Charming Shadow also said: "That’s not even the key part, the crucial thing is, it will have the support of twelve passive skills and six active skills, this is utterly game-changing. Just by seeing the first skill ’Charming Shadow’, one can imagine the power of the subsequent skills."
Even the Charming Shadow is envious, it’s truly powerful, indeed a treasure not worth trading for a Divine Artifact.
Li Yao laughed: "It’s not that game-breaking, you only saw the attributes, take a look at the experience requirements, okay? Leveling up Dondondondondondon in the future is equivalent to two and a half players leveling up, and the passive skill attribute is random, it may not necessarily be that game-changing, and as for active skills, it’s all about luck."
Fireworks chuckled: "Even without the attributes, I’d be willing to keep such a beautiful fox for its looks alone; the difficulty of leveling up doesn’t matter. Also, even if the passive skills aren’t great, it’s better to have something boosting resistance than nothing. Moreover, don’t you see whose pet it is? Do you really think with my touch of fortune, I’d end up with a poor skill? I don’t believe it."
Uh...
Li Yao was speechless, indeed, if it was all random, he might end up with a useless pet, but her touch of fortune...
"Cough cough, stop being envious, be thankful for your dice rolls, and if you guys have what it takes, try opening one yourself."
Li Yao’s words suddenly awakened the Starfire folks, and even the typically indifferent characters like Sister Li, Charming Shadow, and Feng Yi began to nervously participate in rolling the dice, while the viewers felt an unbearable envy, wishing they could have one too, but alas, they could only watch.
"Wahaha, I never expected it, but I too have had my stroke of extraordinary luck." Angel burst into laughter looking at his points.
After several rounds of intense competition, finally, Angel’s points crushed the last opponent, Starfire.
Starfire shook her head in disappointment, and everyone else sighed. They were reluctant to let Angel, the jinx, win; it was simply dissatisfying.
Li Yao chuckled: "This is really a stroke of dumb luck."
"Hahaha, just kidding, it’s absolute strength, okay?" Angel cheekily glanced at Fruit Knight: "My dear wife, how about I give this chance to you?"
Knight grumbled with annoyance, glaring at Angel: "Cut the crap, can’t I afford to lose? If you don’t want it, just have the president order a new competition."
Knight was eliminated in the first round; it wasn’t that she really liked the attributes, but rather the beauty of the purple fox, watching Tungtung who was already playing with the little fox with great envy.
"Er, cough cough." Angel hastily took the card and used it without delay: "Watch this, I’m gonna get myself a dragon mount."
Whirrrr...
The spinner kept spinning, amidst the clamor of Angel, the needle came to a stop.
"Wahaha, I told you it’d be a mount, damn, why did it twitch again, Gold Coin..."
Angel hadn’t even been happy for a second before the needle landed on a gold coin pattern.
"No worries, look at these numbers, a hundred thousand Gold Coins, eighty thousand, ninety thousand, and another ten thousand Gold Coins. I’m gonna get rich."
Everyone remained silent, listening to his ramble. When the needle stopped, Angel was dumbfounded, so were the folks from Starfire, and the audience was speechless.
Ding...
A silver coin fell into Angel’s hand, whose hands twitched as the silver coin fell unnoticed.
Then the peals of laughter from the Starfire Team followed.
This was just awkward; all the posing led to this outcome.
Looking at Tungtung’s hand holding the Shadow Pets and then at his own fifteen silver coins, Angel felt like crying but had no tears.
Li Yao stepped forward and said nothing, just patted Angel on the shoulder.
"Knock it off, just because I’m unlucky doesn’t mean you’re any better. Be careful you don’t end up with a few copper coins." Angel’s heart ached; it was a universal treasure chest that could reveal a Divine Artifact, and yet he only got fifteen odd silver coins. He felt like dying.
What’s worse, Angel wasn’t even aware that countless people had witnessed his bad luck; his reputation had spread far and wide.
"Cough, there’s also a comprehensive reward to claim. Maybe I’ll open mine after all rewards are distributed," Li Yao suggested as he saw everyone looking at him.
"Stop stalling, just open it," Angel said through clenched teeth. Now that he had embarrassed himself, he needed some company.
"Exactly, our president is brilliant and mighty. How could he not get something good? I don’t believe it, right?" Mu Zi also egged on.
The others echoed in agreement, and Li Yao, with no other choice, proceeded to reveal the card.
The needle spun, not stopping on the Gold Coins as Angel had hoped, but instead passed the weapon icon, coming to rest on an equipment icon.
Countless pieces of equipment appeared, and the needle started spinning wildly once again.
"Common gear, common gear, common gear, common gear," Angel shouted, pushing his way next to Li Yao near the spinner.
Li Yao kicked Angel aside, feeling somewhat nervous himself. If there were no comparison, a bad draw wouldn’t have mattered, but with Tungtung as a benchmark, a poor draw would be too embarrassing.
Even knowing his luck wasn’t great, he couldn’t help but get excited.
Amidst everyone’s anticipation and Li Yao’s anxious heart, the needle finally stopped...
