431: Chapter 428: Surrender, Teodulo’s Nightmare.

Teodulo was on the verge of insanity, driven mad by anger and desperation.

It had been a very long time since Teodulo had personally joined a battle, and the number of fights he had commanded in recent years was few, but his courage and experience as a seasoned warrior were still there.

When he heard Chameleon outside yelling about an ambush, Teodulo took it very seriously, even though Chameleon said the enemy might not be many.

Teodulo still gathered all his men to prepare to wipe out the unidentified enemies in one fell swoop.

What took Teodulo by surprise was that while his men were still assembling, the enemy attacked, and what he never expected was that although there were only a dozen or so of them, they completely overwhelmed his battle-hardened elite soldiers.

And what Teodulo found most unbearable was the fact that these few enemies, a mere dozen or so, not only routed his handpicked force of one hundred and twenty in a single clash and annihilated the Phantom Mercenary Group, but also surrounded him, leaving him no way out.

Teodulo felt like he was in a dream, watching hazily as his men were driven back and, although he desperately wanted to organize a counterattack, the enemy’s handful of men managed to thwart all his efforts.

Teodulo, holding a pistol, fired several shots out the window, and then he no longer even had a chance to peek out, especially after seeing one of his soldiers just stand up in front of the window and immediately get two holes shot through him with a machine gun, Teodulo completely gave up on the idea of personally observing.

The one supposed to have the upper hand was himself, but reality was just the opposite, and Teodulo was so infuriated and anxious to the point of madness, especially when one of his soldiers screamed at him, saying the enemy had blown up the surrounding wall and had already made their way into the adjacent building.

Teodulo felt he couldn’t go on like this any longer.

The enemy had stormed in but soon withdrew, and after a brief exchange of fire, they quickly stopped shooting and retreated.

Teodulo saw this as an opportunity, so he bellowed, “Gather, come together downstairs, charge out together and finish them off, or I’ll execute you…”

As Teodulo was screaming at the top of his lungs, a sudden explosion scared him so badly he nearly bit his own tongue off.

After a moment, the ringing in his ears still persistent, Teodulo saw a soldier rushing toward him, shouting something in panic.

Teodulo, vigorously rubbing his ears, yelled, “Damn it, what are you saying!”

“The building next door has been bombed, the building next door has collapsed, what do we do?

I said, the building next door has been destroyed, what do we do!”

After repeating himself several times, Teodulo finally understood what the soldier in front of him was saying.

Pushing aside the panicked soldier in front of him with a shove, he stumbled out to look and stood there, his mouth agape, as his mind went blank.

The two-story building that had been adjacent was now collapsed, reduced to rubble.

Although it was a smaller two-story structure, it housed more people than the three-story building they were in, with over fifty individuals, but now, all of them were crushed under the rubble.

Teodulo wondered if he was caught in a nightmare, yet this nightmare seemed impossible to wake from until his soldiers pulled him back into the house, and Teodulo snapped back to reality as if from a dream.

What Teodulo witnessed was the same scene, but Gao Yang and his team’s feelings were naturally completely different, thrilled beyond measure…

After running back to the breach in the wall and shooting down a few enemies who ran out, the rest were driven back into the three-story building.

Sirte continued to prepare his C4.

Having done it once before, doing it again was a breeze for him.

However, watching Sirte work with the C4 and arming the detonator, Gao Yang suddenly realized a serious problem.

Their mission was to kill Teodulo, not to annihilate the troops he brought and then blow up the remaining building.

Blowing up the building would be easier, and it was likely that Teodulo would also be killed inside, but how would they retrieve Teodulo’s body?

“Wait, wait, Can Opener, don’t be hasty to blow them up.

Our mission is to kill Teodulo.

If we blow up this last building, what if Teodulo is inside?”

Sirte shrugged and said, “We’ve already blown up one building and blasted two more to ruins, mate.

At this point, do you think it’s a bit late to worry about that?

If Teodulo isn’t in this last building, are you planning to look for his body in the rubble of the other three sites?”

It was a problem to decide whether to storm the building or blow it up along with everyone inside.

Thinking about the need to search and attack the whole building from bottom to top, Gao Yang felt that it was not only dangerous but also troublesome.

Compared to that, using C4 seemed more appealing.

Gao Yang waved his hand and said, “Forget it, Pailano wouldn’t dare deny it, Can Opener, it’s up to you now.

Continue ‘opening the cans’.”

Sirte chuckled and said, “A smart and correct choice.”

Gao Yang gestured and said, “Provide fire cover for Can Opener, let him blast the enemy to the skies!”

Sirte shouted, “No, not blast them to the skies, but bury them.”

Gao Yang laughed heartily in a relaxed mood, “Alright, prepare to fire.”

After shouting, Gao Yang gripped his shotgun, just about to order to fire, when he suddenly heard a desperate bellow from inside the building.

There was someone shouting in Spanish inside.

Gao Yang looked at Sirte and asked, “Do you speak Spanish?”

Sirte shook his head and said, “No.”

Gao Yang shrugged, then yelled toward the inside, “I don’t understand!

Go to hell, all of you!”

Having yelled that, Gao Yang was about to give the order to fire when the yelling from inside changed to English.

“We surrender!

We surrender!

Don’t fire, don’t bomb us anymore, we surrender!”

Hearing the shouting from inside, Gao Yang was momentarily stunned, looked at the others, then he realized that everyone else’s thoughts were the same as his, faces filled with disbelief.

Gesturing to Sirte, Gao Yang then yelled, “We accept your surrender, drop your weapons, raise your hands and walk into the courtyard, no tricks.”

After hearing Gao Yang’s shout, a soldier turned his head to look at Teodulo, who was putting on a regular soldier’s uniform and nodded his head in dejection, whispering, “Do as he says, lay down your guns, tell the people outside we’re coming out soon.” (To be continued.
