Chapter 1249: Chapter One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Two: Villain
Eileen stood up and stormed over to Cui Bo. Just as Cui Bo hurriedly tried to hide behind Li Jinfang, Eileen stomped heavily on his foot.
Cui Bo jumped up clutching his foot, while the others burst into laughter.
For some reason, as Satan’s people started to gather together again, Gao Yang felt a deep sense of reassurance. Although they were forced to reunite due to a threat, having this group of people around made him feel at ease.
To ensure this group could continue joking and laughing together in the future, Gao Yang was willing to do anything, willing to risk anything.
Gao Yang waved his hand and said with a smile, “Alright, enough messing around. Don’t make so much noise that our landlord comes upstairs.”
After stopping Eileen and Cui Bo’s antics, Gao Yang turned to Li Jinfang and asked, “How are things at Li Pengfei’s place?”
Li Jinfang nodded and said in a deep voice, “Everything’s going well. Their business is booming, but they’ve been struggling with manpower. Recruiting qualified personnel in Africa is quite challenging. Oh, by the way, we’ve received our dividends.”
Both Gao Yang and Li Jinfang had shares in the security company established by Li Pengfei and his team. It had been a long time since Gao Yang had asked about their progress.
Gao Yang laughed and said, “Looks like Bull Demon King’s team is finally making profits! How much are our dividends?”
Li Jinfang waved his hand and said with a smile of satisfaction, “Each of us gets 86,000 US dollars. That’s the first dividend. Also, Bull Demon King’s team has over 400 men under their command now. They’ve got six long-term contracts—three with Huaxia construction sites, one with a Belgian company, and two providing security for notable figures. Honestly, these jobs don’t make a huge profit but are certainly lucrative enough. Oh, and the money’s been transferred to Little Donnie’s account. Not sure if he’s forwarded it to us yet.”
Gao Yang said with interest, “Eighty-six grand for each of us. Not bad. Other than the difficulty in recruiting suitable personnel, are there any other problems?”
Li Jinfang shook his head and said, “No other issues. There’s so much business that they can’t keep up. There are too many short-term contracts, and manpower is too scarce. The locals we recruit simply aren’t reliable—lazy! When it’s time to get paid, they’re more eager than anyone, but when it’s time to work, they’re all over the place. Tried to implement proper training and discipline, but the moment we did, a lot of people quit. Can’t just transfer large numbers of personnel from back home either. It’s tricky. Bull Demon King’s primary recruits are from Nigeria—mostly retired soldiers. To be honest, Nigerian soldiers aren’t bad compared to others. At the very least, they follow orders and won’t slack off during security tasks. They’re capable of stepping up in critical situations.”
Gao Yang chuckled and said, “Can’t help you there. The issue of recruitment is genuinely beyond us. Hiring high-quality personnel would be too expensive for Bull Demon King’s team—not worth it.”
Li Jinfang nodded and said, “No rush. Let them take it step by step. They’re already doing a great job.”
Gao Yang didn’t press further. Matters concerning Li Pengfei’s operations would need to be discussed privately.
Now Gao Yang’s investments were all yielding returns. His maritime security company in the Gulf of Aden had been profitable from the start. They had expanded operations recently, which delayed the dividends for a few days. Calculating their earnings, the maritime security company alone brought Gao Yang nearly 4 million US dollars a year—a significant amount.
Other early members of Satan, like Glolov, Cui Bo, Li Jinfang, and Frey, also owned shares in the maritime security company, earning around 200,000 per year each. Bruce made less since he had joined Satan later, but even so, his small share still yielded 50,000 dollars annually. Now that Bruce had passed away, his earnings were sent to his mother.
The maritime security company was incredibly profitable, largely thanks to the Skull Gang. Gao Yang and his partners’ company outperformed the British escort ships by miles.
Besides his shares in two security companies, Gao Yang’s biggest source of income came from his diamond mine. Unlike other ventures, Gao Yang solely owned this mine. The wealth it provided was extraordinary. If it weren’t for Morgan and Gao Yang’s ambitious plans, he could’ve become a billionaire in no time.
After briefly discussing things with Li Jinfang, Gao Yang didn’t continue the conversation and waited for about another twenty minutes. Then, Glolov and Tommy arrived together.
Despite their age, both Glolov and Tommy paused for a moment when they saw Eileen. After staring for a moment, Glolov nodded and said, “Not bad, not bad. Eileen, you look great right now.”
Tommy smiled as well and said, “You’re very charming.”
Eileen was overjoyed and laughed, “You two are the best!”
Just as Eileen finished speaking, footsteps came from outside the door. Seeing that Satan’s older members had gathered, Gao Yang smiled and said, “Alright, our medic’s here.”
Gao Yang stood up from his chair and walked toward the door. Soon, he saw a bald man rushing toward him—it was Albert.
Albert waved at Gao Yang and said in a low voice, “Hello, boss. I hope I’m not too late.”
Gao Yang smiled and said, “Not too late. Come on in; I’ll introduce you to everyone.”
Leading Albert inside, Gao Yang saw that everyone who had been seated stood up upon seeing him. He pointed to Albert and said seriously, “Guys, let me introduce you. Full name: Arthur Albert, from a family of medics. He served six years in the Israeli Golani Brigade. For the foreseeable future, he’ll be fighting alongside us.”
Once Gao Yang finished the introduction, Albert saluted and smiled, “Hello, everyone. I’m sure we’ll get along great.”
Gao Yang nodded and said to Albert, “Introduce yourself. Share what you’re good at, what you plan to contribute, and tell everyone your nickname.”
Albert nodded and replied, “I’m a medic, obviously. That’s my main job. Outside of that, I can fight. I’m proficient in airborne and infantry skills—I know all those. I use an assault rifle. As for my combat abilities, well, you’re all elite soldiers. The fact that I’m here means my combat skills are up to par. Beyond that, I’d say I’m pretty good at mixed martial arts. I even had a stint as a pro wrestler.”
Hearing Albert mention his proficiency in mixed martial arts, Li Jinfang’s eyes lit up. Pausing briefly, Albert ran a hand over his bald head and hesitated before saying, “As for my nickname, uh, a lot of people call me Villain. So, yeah, just stick with that as my nickname.” (.
