Chapter 1248: Chapter One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-One: A Gorgeous Turnaround

Gao Yang and a few others were sightseeing in the Scottish Highlands, while the rest of Satan’s team stayed casually at various places in London.

At Jansen’s home, visiting Loch Ness was a must, followed by the breathtaking scenery of the Scottish Highlands. Although February was still a bit chilly, it didn’t dampen Gao Yang and the others’ enthusiasm for exploring.

The bounty notice had already been issued, but no news had come back yet. Most of Satan’s team had already gathered in London. A few still in America hadn’t arrived, but their schedules were confirmed. However, the arrival times for Glolov, Li Jinfang, and Cui Bo were still uncertain.

On the third day in the Scottish Highlands, Taylor, Frey, and Satan’s new military doctor all arrived in London.

And on this very same day, something major happened: the western stronghold of Lviv in Ukraine declared independence.

The situation in Ukraine was developing unbelievably fast. Gao Yang thought the Ukraine Government could hold on for at least another six months, but the reality was that Ukraine was sliding into the abyss at an accelerated pace.

Now Gao Yang wondered if Rafael might have been right all along. The situation in Ukraine might not even need three months or half a year to reach a conclusion—maybe the truth would reveal itself within just one or two weeks.

However, Gao Yang and the entire Satan team had to focus their attention on Krulney. This was about their rear security, so while Gao Yang could monitor the situation in Ukraine, he couldn’t afford to divide his attention to travel there.

On the fourth day, Li Jinfang and Cui Bo arrived in London. By this time, all of Satan’s members were accounted for. On this very day, Gao Yang and his companions left the Scottish Highlands and headed to London.

This time, the situation was quite different from usual because several of Satan’s members had brought their families along. However, only the members staying in London brought their families—like the Frye family, Glolov’s family, and Tommy’s girlfriend Vita. They were used to mingling with each other, so their move to London merely shifted their regular hangouts from homes to hotels.

Satan’s people didn’t stay in the same hotel but were spread out among several. As for those families, they, of course, stayed in luxury hotels. Morgan-style butlers and bodyguards were now employed to be positioned around Yelena and the others.

Once Gao Yang arrived in London, the first thing he did was look for another hotel where Satan’s team could all gather together.

Instead of staying in a luxurious hotel, Gao Yang and Eileen spent a long time searching before finally finding a small, family-style inn that met their needs, and they booked the entire place.

The inn was tiny, with only fifteen rooms in total. The rooms were also small, though decently clean. However, the price wasn’t cheap—each room cost 100 British Pounds per night, and Gao Yang booked all the rooms. Yet the innkeeper refused to cut even a single pound from the price.

“Here are the keys—15 in total. The entire second and third floors are now your space. As long as you don’t make too much noise, there won’t be any issues. Unless someone requests cleaning services, we won’t go upstairs,” the innkeeper said.

The innkeeper was an elderly man, close to seventy, and there was only one other staff member—a woman in her sixties. Gao Yang’s only request upon booking the inn was that no one would disturb them, which delighted the innkeeper.

After handing over the keys to Gao Yang, the old man picked up a “No Vacancy” sign and hung it up on the glass door of the inn.

Once on the second floor, Gao Yang casually unlocked one of the rooms, and a few of them went inside to sit down. Gao Yang checked his watch and said to Eileen, “Alright, give everyone a call to gather them here.”

Eileen began making calls one by one, summoning people scattered across London to converge on the small inn. At the reception, they simply had to mention the fake name Gao Yang had registered under to gain entry.

The first to arrive was Andy He, who lived near the inn. Carrying a small backpack, Andy He walked into the room and, upon seeing Gao Yang and the others, immediately paused. Then, with a dumbfounded expression, he looked at Eileen and blurted, “You’re Tyrannosaurus? Am I seeing things?”

Indeed, Eileen was still dressed stylishly. Although she had changed outfits, she remained equally stunning and unconventional. Her earlier dream had been to become a model—a goal that, frankly, she both deserved and had the potential to achieve.

Eileen flashed a sweet smile and said in a saccharine tone, “Hi, Dragon Knight, do you think I’m beautiful?”

Andy He couldn’t help but shiver, and even Gao Yang involuntarily did the same. Andy He waved both hands frantically and said, “Please! Don’t talk to me like that. I can’t handle it! Ugh, look, I’ve got goosebumps everywhere!”

Eileen responded by flipping Andy He off and snapping, “Screw you!”

Andy He looked visibly relieved and sighed, “That’s more like it. Now I feel normal again.”

While they were bantering, the sound of footsteps came from outside. Moments later, Frey and Taylor appeared at the doorway of the open room. As they stepped inside and spotted Eileen blocking the corridor, Frey immediately raised a hand and said, “Oops, wrong room.”

Both Frey and Taylor turned to leave, but Eileen barked, “Get back here!”

They spun around simultaneously, staring at Eileen with wide eyes. Frey’s gaze darted up and down as he carefully scrutinized her. Only after hearing laughter break out among those already inside did he exclaim in realization, “Tyrannosaurus! What the hell happened to you?”

Taylor, meanwhile, looked astonished. “Wow! I don’t even know what to say. I’m struggling to adjust here.”

The room was too small, and with a few more arrivals, there wasn’t enough space to sit. Frey and Taylor opted to stand while joking around with Gao Yang and the others. About half an hour later, new footsteps echoed down the hall.

Gao Yang immediately recognized the sound—it was Li Jinfang and Cui Bo. Li Jinfang’s footsteps always had a unique rhythm.

Sure enough, Li Jinfang and Cui Bo soon walked in. They had landed not long before, took a taxi straight to the inn, and entered the room. Tossing their bags onto the floor, they greeted everyone briefly. Then, at the sight of Eileen, Cui Bo practically jumped. “What the—? Eileen, what happened to you?” he exclaimed.

Eileen was too tired to react. She gazed at Cui Bo listlessly and asked, “What are you trying to say?”

Cui Bo paused, nodded, and said, “You look stunning. Honestly, easy on the eyes. Eileen, it seems like you’ve undergone a total transformation!”

Eileen laughed aloud and replied, “Finally! Someone who knows how to speak like a human. Thank you.”

Cui Bo grinned as well. “No need to thank me. But, Eileen, I’ve always seen you as one of the guys. This sudden change has completely thrown me off! How am I supposed to vibe with you now? Could you please go back to being a tomboy?”
