Chapter 385: Chapter 276: Mu Lin Seeking Revenge (Second update)_1

"It happened again?" The man standing next to the police officer frowned, "You mean, something similar has occurred before? What was it?"

"Yes," the young woman nodded. "It was both terrifying and disgusting. Even thinking about it now still gives me the chills." It was frightening just to think about it. They hadn’t had the time to check if the bedrooms were still in that state today. If they had a choice, they would rather not walk in.

"What happened?" The man was genuinely curious. He couldn’t imagine what could have turned these people’s faces so ashen just by recalling the event.

The supervisor stepped forward, looking at him and said, "These past few days, this woman’s bedroom has been overrun by hordes of insects, snakes, rats, and ants, all of which were dead. There was not a single clean spot in the whole room." This was quite an odd occurrence, but they didn’t dare spread the news. However, there was no need to hide it now.

The man frowned, "That’s very strange." Looking at the supervisor, he asked, "What about now? Has it continued?"

The supervisor shook his head, "We don’t know about today. The moment we stepped in, we found her dead. We haven’t had a chance to check upstairs." They didn’t even have the frame of mind to consider it.

The same man looked up and hollered at the officer investigating upstairs, "Any findings? Anything unusual in the bedroom upstairs?" If there was, the officer should have called him by now.

The officer upstairs shook his head, "Nothing. It’s almost spotless in there, as if no one had slept in there."

The supervisor frowned. "How could that be? The room has been in that state every day for the past couple of days." Only to find it clean today was quite sudden, and although it was clean, the occupant was already dead.

"I wonder if there’s a connection between the two," the man wondered, stroking his chin thoughtfully. Then looking at the two managers, he asked, "Do you have any photos of the room from the previous days?" He needed to see it for himself to understand exactly what it looked like. Just hearing about it didn’t seem to have much of an impact, as it was impossible to imagine such a scene.

And speaking of snakes and rats, aren’t they supposed to be mortal enemies?

"Who would take photos of something so gruesome?" The supervisor shook his head. "Just a glance at it is enough to incite horror." They had to clean it up these past few days while holding back their disgust. The staff refused outright to come upstairs to help due to the revolting sight.

The scene could induce severe fear in those with a phobia of crowded spaces and clusters.

However..

"I took some," the girl beside them suddenly chimed in, causing the supervisor to look at her in surprise. "You took photos? Why would you do that?"

The girl shook her head, "I don’t know, maybe I just thought it might come in handy later. It was a strange impulse." At times, a woman’s intuition can be uncannily accurate.

Upon hearing the girl’s comment, the police officer’s face lit up. "Show me," he said. The manager standing next was equally shocked. He hadn’t expected the young girl to have had the presence of mind to secure some evidence. Impressive.

However, they couldn’t allow such pictures to leak; otherwise, their hotel’s hygiene standards would be called into question. Once everything settled down, they would have to make sure the girl deleted the photos.

The girl pulled out her phone from her pocket, found the photos, and handed her phone over, "Here you go." Even now, the photos were sickening. She herself didn’t know why she had kept them for so long.

Upon receiving the phone and seeing the photo, the officer jumped back slightly, "This is..." It was too revolting. He had trypophobia! He handed back the phone to the girl and asked her to send him a copy of the photo. After he recovered from the shock, he asked, "How long has this been going on?"

"About three or four days," said the supervisor. "Every time it happened, she would change rooms. She has practically switched to every room on these two floors. However, she’s been here for quite some time and this never happened previously." If the future guests found out, they might become reluctant to stay here. They might even have to renovate the two floors where this all happened.

Upon hearing this, the police officer furrowed his brows deep in thought.

Why on earth would something like this happen? The sight he had just seen was beyond his imagination. It was unthinkable there could be so many creatures. It made him doubt the world he lived in. Were there really that many creatures around them? Where did they all come from?
