Married To The Blind Alpha
Chapter 48: A Bride To The Master

Chapter 48: A Bride To The Master

In the deep part of the woods, a woman wearing a cloak walked quickly and stopped when she saw another woman waiting for her.

The woman with the cloak, who was Noelle, revealed her face and looked at the woman who seemed to be in her late thirties, but Noelle knew this woman was way older, because there is no way a woman in her thirties would know such ancient and forbidden spells.

"Why have you asked to see me?" The woman asked with irritation in her voice.

"I think Tristan suspects me." Noelle said

"By killing Milton in such a stupid way, even an idiot will suspect you."

"I did for the master. Milton knew about the prophecy and made a fake bond with his daughter and Tristan so that she could bear that child. He wished to use the child to rule the world."

"A child who is destined to destroy the world cannot rule it, and do you think Tristan is stupid? Do you really believe that Tristan did know that his mate bond with Eva was fake? And even if Milton was to go around and tell everyone about this, who would believe him?"

"Are you blaming me for this? I have done nothing but give my all to the master. Every one of us has done everything to ensure the awakening of the Supreme Alpha."

"And I commend you for your efforts; however, killing Milton was an act of foolishness. Since Tristan has already begun to suspect you, he won’t stop until he has evidence against you and when he do, he will bring you to the Elders and kill you in their presence."

"But that cannot happen. I am still an asset to the master plans." Noelle knelt down in front of the woman and pleaded, "Please, save me."

The woman looked at Noelle with no emotion in her eyes as she asked, "Do you know that Layla is dead?"

Noelle looked at the woman in surprise. "What?"

"Poor Layla, she was my favorite." The woman said. It was as if she was describing the color of the sky, but to Noelle, she had also been like this.

Ever since Noelle met her, she has never seen her laugh, smile, or get angry. Her face has always remained neutral, and her voice has never held an emotion. With this, Noelle concluded that maybe she was just another mindless puppet of the master, but for some reason, this woman is the only one that has seen the master and is heavily respected by his followers.

"Tristan, he killed her. Hypnotizing her into speaking a truth that should never have come out from her mouth. Once again, he has taken something from me."

"What do you mean that he has taken something from you again?" Noelle asked, curious about what this woman’s relationship with Tristan could be.

The woman’s gaze landed on Noelle as she said, "You aren’t worthy of knowing. What about the witch who told Milton of the prophecy?"

"I couldn’t trace her; it’s like she no longer existed in this world. What should I do? Tristan must not find any proof against me."

"He won’t. I will help you this time because you still are of use to the master, but Noelle, the next time you make this mistake, you are on your own." The woman said and turned to leave.

"Wait! I have a question." Noelle said, standing up.

The woman turned to her and stared at silently, as if waiting for her question.

"The possibility of that child coming into the world is stronger since Tristan is married to Aria, but since you already knew that, why did you make this marriage happen?"

"Because Aria needs to be marked. It is the only way for her powers to be awakened, and the only person who can mark her is Tristan. Once Aria has been marked, then the real process will begin. It is for that day; I will need you."

"I don’t understand."

"You do not need to understand. Once her powers have been awakened, she will be given as a bride to the master, and on their wedding night, when the moon becomes red, he will feast on her blood, and then he will be reawakened as the supreme Alpha."

Noelle was shocked by what she was hearing. She already knew that everything that was happening was to awaken the Alpha, but something was bothering her: "Is it because Aria is the only member of the Yalk clan who has powers?"

The woman just looked at her and did not answer her; she turned to leave when she heard another question.

"What about the child? What will happen if Aria were to get pregnant by then?" Noelle asked, and for the first time since she had met this woman, who had even refused to give her a name, the woman’s empty eyes lit up, but not in excitement but rather something dark, as she said.

"Then the child will be mine, and finally I will be able to take back what was taken from me."

........

Golden Rills Pack.

In the medical center of the pack, Tristan looked at the old woman who was lying unconscious on the bed.

The healer named Melissa, who also has a doctor degree, said to Tristan, "Her condition is stable, but you were right. There is something moving in her."

"Do you know what it is?" Tristan asked.

"Like a worm, but unfortunately, no matter how hard I try healing her, it doesn’t work."

Tristan sighed. Finding a cure for Aria’s grandmother was proving to be more difficult than he thought.

The door to the room was knocked, and Melissa glanced at Tristan before saying, "Come in."

Cole came in and greeted Tristan before handing a bottle containing green substance to Melissa.

"Suzette says you should inject this into her body." Cole says.

Melissa nodded and collected the bottle from Cole.

Cole turned to Tristan and said, "Alpha, I need a word."

While Melissa was getting ready to inject the substance into Aria’s grandmother, Tristan walked to a corner with Cole.

"What do you have to tell me?"

"Suzette says if it does not work, then it might be that Aria’s grandmother’s poison has no cure."
