Married To The Blind Alpha -
Chapter 47: I’m Not Going
Chapter 47: I’m Not Going
Aria and Tristan’s intimate night together brought them even closer.
They became like a newlywed couple who had just entered their honeymoon phase, and Aria felt so happy that she sometimes became scared that it would end.
And to fuel her hidden fear, no matter how much she tells Tristan that she is ready to go further with him, he will always refuse her and then give her pleasure in other ways.
Aria could feel her cheek burning as she thought of how Tristan had used his tongue to pleasure her. At first, she was hesitant about it, but the moment he started, all her hesitation flew out the window.
But then again, why doesn’t he want to go further with her? Aria thought to herself as she brought her cup of coffee to her lips.
The vibration of her phone on the kitchen counter jolted Aria from her thoughts, and she saw that she had received a message from Hailey.
Lately, the only reason Hailey remembers her is to ask if she has convinced Tristan about the wedding.
Aria said as she read the same message that was sent to her yesterday and typed the same reply.
’I haven’t gotten a chance yet.’
After Aria sent her reply, the next message from Hailey was an angry emoji.
Aria frowned and was about to type something when she received a call from Hailey.
She took in a deep breath before she answered the call and heard Hailey’s voice.
"The wedding is in two days, and you haven’t told Tristan! I have already told everyone that he will be there; do you know how embarrassed I will be if he isn’t?"
"Like I have told you, Hailey, I haven’t found the right time to time him. Tristan has been busy lately and..."
"How busy can a blind man get?"
"What?"
"This marriage will be called off if Tristan does not attend the wedding. Is that what you want? For me to be left at the altar and given to an older man?"
"Of course not. Listen, Hailey, I get that you are stressed out and you need this marriage to work out, and I will do everything in my power to ensure it will. I will convince Tristan; just give me till the end of today."
"Thank you."
Aria smiled and said, "I know you would have done the same for me."
The moment Aria ended the call, she heard Tristan’s voice.
"Convince me about what?"
Aria raised her head to see Tristan standing in front of her, fully dressed. "Are you going out?"
Tristan smiled and replied, "I asked a question first: What do you want to convince me about?"
Aria cleared her throat and walked towards him with a nervous smile. "I know you don’t go out to events and parties, but I would like for you to go with me to Hailey’s wedding."
Tristan’s face darkened into a frown. "Wedding? I’m not going. Those types of events aren’t for me."
"I know, but you will be with me."
"Aria....."
"We don’t really go out, and this wedding can be an opportunity for us."
"Aria, I’m not going to a wedding I have no business in. And if you want us to go out, then we will. I will plan something for us, but far away from here, where a lot of people know me as the blind Alpha."
"So, no wedding?"
"No wedding, but this does not mean that I am stopping you from attending your friend’s wedding."
"I know, but it’s just that I told her you would be attending, and so she is expecting you."
"Tell her I’m not feeling too well and can’t come."
"But Tristan, can’t you really go with me?"
"Aria, your grandmother’s time is running out, and I need to find a cure for her. I also need to handle other things; I don’t have time to go to a dumb wedding. Buy her a gift and tell her it’s for the both of us." Tristan said and heard his phone ringing from his pocket.
He brought it out and said, "Cole is here; I have to go. Take care of yourself and call me if you need anything."
Aria nodded, and the next thing she felt was his lips on hers. Their kiss lasted for only a brief moment before he pulled away.
The doorbell rang, and Tristan went to open the door, knowing it was Cole.
Cole entered the house and greeted Aria. "Good morning, Luna."
After seeing changes in Tristan since Aria came into his life, he has slowly been accepting of her.
Even if Tristan were to make a lowly Luna as his mate, the Golden Rills pack will accept her, not because they want to but because of their love for their Alpha, Tristan.
To them, Tristan was everything. His words are always law, and why wouldn’t they be?
When his uncle was the Alpha of the pack, he had ruled them in a cruel manner. Doing things for only his benefits and executing those who didn’t obey him to the point he was named The Mad Alpha.’
He ruled with fear, and the Golden Rills pack would have been doomed if Tristan had abandoned them.
He had saved them by killing his uncle in a duel and then establishing new rules for the pack. Leading the Golden Rills pack into the strongest pack in the world.
In fact, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration if he says the members of the pack worship the floor on which he walks.
Aria narrowed her eyes, confused if she had really heard Cole greeting her.
Cole rolled his eyes at her reaction and turned his gaze to Tristan. "We have to go."
Tristan nodded. His eyes returned to dark brown as he pulled on his dark glasses while Aria gave him his cane.
"Thank you." Tristan said as he walked to the door with the help of his cane.
He suddenly stopped at the door and saw, "In case I don’t come back tonight, don’t wait up for me." He left the house after saying that while Cole helped him to close the door.
Aria let out a sigh after he left. It wasn’t the first time of him not coming back home, and knowing he could protect himself made her less worried. What bothers her mind now is how she was going to tell Hailey that Tristan wasn’t coming to the wedding.
