Married To The Blind Alpha
Chapter 39: Noelle Is A Traitor.

Chapter 39: Noelle Is A Traitor.

One of the many things Aria has noticed about Tristan was that he didn’t like going out unless he had something very important to do, so convincing him to attend a wedding was going to be more than difficult.

Aria jolted out of her thought when she bumped into someone, and she was about to apologize when she saw that it was Layla.

"Layla." Aria called softly; she noticed that Layla had once again changed the color of her hair to blonde, and it made her wonder if maybe dyeing her hair was one of her hobbies.

"You ran out of the exam hall immediately after you handed in your paper, so out of curiosity, I followed you here."

"You followed me? Why?"

Layla moved up her glasses, acting nervous and suddenly fidgeting with her fingers as she said, "It felt like you were avoiding me, and I just wanted to ask why."

"It’s not like that."

"I thought we could be friends, but it seems you don’t like me that much."

"No, I... I’m sorry if I made you feel like I don’t like you because that isn’t you. I’m just in a time of my life when I need to be alone, but if I need anyone to talk to, your number will be the first one I will dial."

Layla bit the inside of her lips until she bled when she heard her. Was this lowly wolf dismissing her? How dare she? What is it about her that Master is even interested in? Even her face wants to make me puke.

Layla forced a smile on her face as she said, "Thank you, but since today is the end of our exams for this level, would you like to celebrate with me?"

"Celebrate?"

"Yes, I would like to celebrate, and I have no one to do that with me except you, but it’s alright if you are busy. My parents have always been busy for me, so I’m already used to people turning me down."

Indeed, Aria wanted to turn her down, but after hearing what she said, she felt bad for her, so she found herself saying, "I will celebrate with you. Just text me the time and place."

Layla’s eyes lit up, and she said, "Thank you. I assure you that we are going to have so much fun."

Aria nodded. It’s been long since she had fun, so going out to celebrate definitely didn’t sound like a bad idea.

.....

"I have to be home before my wife gets there, so be fast with whatever it is you want to say to me." Tristan said, the moment he saw Alpha Elywnn.

Elywnn smiled at him as he mocked, "Already becoming a doting husband for a woman who isn’t your mate."

"I won’t let you ruin my mood today."

Elywnn laughed and asked, "When are you finally going to tell me how you are able to use the eyes of your wolf to see?"

Apart from Aria, Cole, Lia, Suzette, and a few others in his pack, Elywnn is the only Alpha who knows he can see with the eyes of his wolf.

"Why am I here, Elywnn?" Tristan asked, looking at the dry bayou that only had one bad house close to the waters.

"This is one of the hideouts that Noelle said the Ferals might be hiding in."

"And?"

"I checked, but I found nothing."

"I am still trying to figure out the importance of what you are saying to me right now."

Elwynn sighed and said, "I may not have found any ferals, but I did find something else. Come with me."

Tristan followed him to the empty house, and it actually looked like someone was living there until recently.

Elwynn brought out many sheets of paper and gave them to Tristan, saying, "All these papers in your hand have just one word."

Tristan looked at them one after the other, and truly they all said the same thing.

"I’m guessing it must have been a witch who was in a trance, and she just kept writing and writing." Elwyn said until he saw that Tristan had gotten to the last paper, he said, "The last paper on the other is a drawing of a woman."

"Are you showing me this?"

"Because I think this has a connection to do with the Ferals. And you are the only one who has enough intelligence to catch these guys."

"I am flattered by your words, but I’m afraid I’m unable to help you with this." Tristan said, dropping the paper on the floor.

"Maybe this woman could be the key to us finding out who the Ferals really are and what their goal is. I will find her."

"There is no need to." Tristan said, bending down to pick up the paper with the drawing.

Elwynn frowned and asked, "Do you know her?"

"She is Aria Wilson, my wife." Tristan stared with a cold look in his eyes.

"What? Hold on, why is there a picture of your wife here?"

"I would also like to know the answer to that question."

Elywnn collected one of the papers on the floor that and read what was written on it out loud: "The child of the white wolf will destroy the world. I wonder what she saw for her to write this in so many papers."

Tristan clenched the paper in his hand and walked forward to grab the paper in Elywnn’s hand as well. He picked up all the paper from the floor and threw it in the fire nook that was in the living room.

"What are you doing!" Elywnn shouted when he saw Tristan’s action. There was suddenly an understanding in his eyes as he asked, "Could it be your wife is the white wolf?"

"You said you called me here because you wanted to know what I think. Well, this is what I think. No one actually lived here, and although Noelle tried to make it as if some ferals lived here and had a witch who made stupid predictions, it is all her."

"But why would she do that?"

"Noelle is a traitor. Suddenly seeing a vision of their hideout after Milton’s death? You saw Milton’s body; although he had a wolf mark, that is not the way wolves kill, and you know it. By drawing my wife and writing this nonsense, it’s obvious she’s trying to mess with me, but she will pay for this, and the only payment I will collect is her life."
