Married To The Blind Alpha
Chapter 31: The Prophecy

Chapter 31: The Prophecy

So everything Milton had believed was a lie. His daughter didn’t commit suicide but instead she was murdered.

"You should stay away from Lia."

Aria came out of her thought after hearing Tristan, "I plan to; I don’t like her."

Tristan smiled at that and said, "I was curious on how an Omega could have killed the daughter of an Alpha. Knowing Milton, apart from making his daughter to stay pretty, he must have trained her as well, so I investigated, and everything linked back to Lia."

"How?"

"She knew of Eva’s anger issues, so she slowly put a crazy idea in Eva’s mind that I was sleeping with her maid."

"Making Eva to lash out and beat the Omega to death." Aria whispered, realizing what a horrible thing Lia did.

"And that’s not all she did. Lia was also the one to convince the Omega mother to have her revenge. Aria, I meant every word when I said, STAY AWAY FROM LIA."

Aria nodded and asked, "So what did you do to the woman who killed Eva? What did you do to Lia, who started this mess? It is because of her that Milton’s wants you dead."

"To the woman who had killed Eva, I did nothing to her. I couldn’t even if I wanted to because she took her life after killing Eva. I’m sure she thought I was going to kill her for taking the life of my mate, and as for Lia, I banished her from the pack house."

"Just that? Tristan, people died because of her, and all you did was banish her from a pack house that even you are not staying in."

"Lia took no one’s life. She might have instigated them with her words, but their actions were still their own."

"It feels as if you are defending her."

Tristan sighed and said, "I am not defending her. When Lia’s mother died, I made a promise to that kind woman that I would take care of her daughter, and turning her daughter into a rogue wasn’t exactly an option."

"If she were to hurt me too, will you just send her away for a few years?" Aria asked with a scoff.

"I would kill her." Tristan replied coldly.

"What?"

"I would kill her and anyone else who would dare to even scratch you." Tristan solemnly said, and he smiled softly as Aria looked away from him with a slight blush on her cheek.

"You said you made dinner; I’m hungry."

"Yeah, I did, but before we eat, can I ask you a question?" Aria asked.

"More questions about Eva or Lia?"

"None. It’s about my grandmother. Have you found a cure for her?"

"Not yet." Tristan said, and when he saw the sad look on Aria’s face, he closed the gap between them and raised her chin up to look at him and said, "I will find the cure; I promise you."

Aria nodded and watched as Tristan’s golden eyes returned back to his dark brown.

Tristan sighed when his sight disappeared, but his smile returned when he felt her hand on his.

Aria led him to the dining table and fed his food to him.

Now that she knew the truth about what happened to Eva, something else was bothering her: her call with Damien.

He had told her that he missed her and apologized for not being able to answer her calls or messages, but when she had asked him if they could meet, he dismissed her and said it wasn’t the right time.

What did he mean by it not being the right time? Could it be that her friend Damien is in trouble?

.....

Late at night, Alpha Milton kept walking deep into a forest, following a bright green light. He stopped when the light stopped and frowned when it disappeared.

Milton looked around him and when he saw no one, he shouted, "If this is a game, then I’m done playing."

"How is this game? Very soon, the person who had killed your daughter would be dead, and you would finally find peace and gain control over the Golden Rills pack."

Milton kept looking around him trying to find the owner of the voice, but no one was here apart from him. "I want to see your face. Isn’t that the reason you have brought me here?"

The voice laughed sinisterly, and a woman appeared in front of him.

Milton sneered in disgust. "So you are a witch?"

"You don’t seem pleased by that fact." The woman said with a sigh.

"You were the one who had sent that letter about Aria, am I correct?"

"Was my information useful? To be honest, I was actually surprised that you were able to do exactly what I had asked you to do."

"When I found that letter in my office, I doubted it at first, but then when I came to my Beta’s house for dinner, his daughter started talking about her friend who did not have a wolf, and her name was Aria, just as you had mentioned in that letter. You said Aria is the only one who was capable of helping me kill Tristan, and you were right. For some reason, he deserted the girls that the Elders had chosen for him and picked Aria. A girl who has no wolf or strength. Who are you, and how did you know all these?"

"I am Noelle."

"Noelle. Elder Noelle?" Milton asked in surprise. He scoffed and mocked, "So you are the witch who had to sacrifice her family to become an Elder."

Noelle shrugged and replied, "I only did what was necessary."

"What do you want, and why have you decided to use me as your pawn? Is it because of my hatred for Tristan?"

"Your hatred? Are you still deceiving yourself, Milton? You and I both know that you don’t really give a damn about your daughter. Your daughter entered the Golden Rills Pack for one purpose, and that is to bear Tristan’s child, and then when she gives birth to a boy, you planned to kill Tristan and rule his pack through his son."

"Have you brought me here to say such nonsense to my face!" Milton shouted in anger.

Noelle laughed hysterically and then said, "I’m curious about something: how did Eva become Tristan’s mate?"

Milton froze when he heard that question, and he started thinking. It can’t be that this witch knows the truth, right? Apart from him and Kia, no one else knows what he has done.

Noelle smiled at his reaction and said, "Tristan was never meant to have a mate."

"What do you mean he was never meant to have a mate?" Milton asked with a frown.

"It is exactly as I have said it. To be honest, Milton, the only one responsible for your daughter’s death is you. If you hadn’t forged a fake mate bond between Eva and Tristan, then that poor girl would still be alive. I must say, your witch Kia is really talented." Noelle said with a smile.

Alpha Milton clenched his fist at the revelation of the truth. Yes, he had forged a mate bond between his daughter and Tristan, but he didn’t expect her to die. At least, she should have fulfilled her task by giving birth to a son before she died.

"What do you want from me?" He asked in anger.

Noelle looked at him and said, "Before I tell you what I want, I’m curious to know why you did it. You see, it is because I need an answer to this question that I have brought you here."

"Why I did what?"

"Why forge a fake bond? Why were you so desperate for your daughter to bear a child for Tristan? Was it just to take over his pack? What assurance that his pack would even swear loyalty to you?"

Milton laughed at her question and said, "So you don’t know everything, after all."

"Answer me!" Noelle demanded.

"You see, my pack witch, Kia, isn’t just an ordinary witch. She was known for her sight, and it was those eyes that I needed that made me bring her into my pack. One night, I was with Kia when she had a trance, and I remembered her words very clearly."

"The child of the white wolf will destroy the world." Noelle said, causing a frown to form on Milton’s face.

"You know this?" Milton asked in surprise.

"I am an Elder. You think I won’t already know what a mediocre witch knows. However, the white wolf is a myth, so why did you think it was Tristan and even go as far as creating a fake bond?"

"Because it has to be Tristan. Call it a gut feeling or whatever, but I am certain that it is Tristan. In all his fights, challenges, and duels, not once has he transformed into his wolf. It’s as if he wants no one to see his wolf."

"So your daughter died as a result of your gut feeling. Perhaps I was wrong about you; you are foolish."

"Do not insult me!"

Noelle’s smile disappeared as she walked closer to Milton, and to his surprise, she kissed him.

Milton tried pushing her away, but he couldn’t; he could feel his strength and life leaving him, and suddenly his struggle stopped.

Noelle pushed him away to the ground, and her smile returned as she saw his lifeless face. "What a shame, and I still had so many uses for him. However, no one must know that Tristan is the white wolf. The Master will be very angry if anyone else were to find out the truth."

Noelle sighed and whispered "I guess I have to find that witch and kill her too."
