Chapter 92: Chapter Seventy-Seven

"Are you still sulking, Erwin?" Leo asks as he combs his beautiful pink hair.

"Why are they coming?" I pout slightly, "I wanted to spend all of my time with you alone today."

"You literally called all of them yourself. And now you are pouting?" Leo is in disbelief.

"Almost. I almost called everyone and invited them to come." I correct him.

"Yeah." Leo rolls his eyes, "Except from Ruth. You wouldn’t call him so I called him. You called Leon, Jules, and John to come, and only five people were invited to the party. Tina is particularly a member of this household now."

"I know right." I hug him from the back and bury my face in the crook of his neck. "I just want to have a friendly relationship with my in-laws."

Leo scoffs, "You should correct that line. Because the way you threatened Jessie is still something I can’t get out of my head. I thought you were seriously going to kill her."

And little does Leo know that I am dead serious about killing her. I just couldn’t commit the deed as Leo and Tina were around and Leo was panicking like the world was ending. I would have been happy to tear her into sherds right then and there. But guess it can wait. I can’t act on impulse as I have one of the most prestigious man in the country by my side as my husband. I need to keep my hands clean as much as possible. Wouldn’t want to get a stain on his name.

"Who knows." I nuzzle my face on his neck, my lips softly brushing against his soft tender skin. "Maybe I really wanted to flay her then and there?"

"What do you mean?" Leo frowns slightly and looks at me through the mirror.

In response, I just only grin, "Who knows?"

It’s clear that Leo isn’t content with the answer and he wants to ask more about it. But the moment he opens his mouth to ask me about it our butler knocks at the door.

"Young master, the guests have arrived." His formal lack of emotions voice stops Leo from whatever questions he is about to ask and nods.

"We will be there in a minute."

"Yes, young master." He acknowledges and then leaves.

It’s not a party or anything it’s just a small family dinner but it is named party since Leo wanted to be.

"We have a thing to talk about Erwin." He looks at me, "Later when they are all gone, okay?"

"Doubtable." I press my lips to prevent the grin from forming on my lips.

"What’s up with the reply, ’doubtable’? I want a proper answer got it?" He says strictly.

"Yes, husband." I drawl lazily, "I got it. Now let’s go downstairs everyone is waiting for us. I just wish they didn’t come." I grumble.

Leo snorts as starts to wind his way down to the living room, "Why do you always want to be alone with me? All you do is touch me anyway."

"I just want to get you pregnant as soon as possible and have a little Leo to play with. Then I won’t disturb you as much as I do now. Just a little." I beam with just the thought of it.

Leo chuckles, "Is that so? Why do you want to be a father so desperately? You are still very young and people your age don’t usually want a responsibility as heavy as to be a father."

"But I want!" I say enthusiastically, "I want a little Leo who will call me Papa everywhere they go. They will wreck trouble day and night and make us go crazy over them. Ah, just thinking about it makes my heart race with excitement."

Leo smiles affectionately, "You have some wild imagination, Erwin."

"What are you two talking about?" Jules pipes in from who knows where making Leo jump.

"Hey, Jules." I greet, "Long time no seen, huh." I reach out my hand for a handshake.

He takes it, "Just got back into the town. So how are you two doing?" He squeezes my hand slightly before letting it go, "I heard there have been so many things happening when I wasn’t here. Tell me, Leo."

Leo shakes his head, "It’s nothing. So where have you been all these days? I thought you went to Alaska."

"I got bored and went to India. See I am tanned all over." Jules splays his arms out to showcase his tanned body which doesn’t suit him at all.

I bite my lip to not laugh but my shoulders shake, giving me away. Leo nudges my side with his elbow as he struggles to hold his laughter in.

"Stop showing your body like that Jules." Leon chides as he approaches us, "You look like a total clown."

"Why? What’s wrong with it?" Jules looks down at himself.

"It’s really bad, honestly," Ruth comments with a pitying look in his eyes.

"Hey, Warner." Leon’s hand darts out for a handshake.

I take his hand and squeeze it, "What’s up Snow?"

"Thank you for inviting me here." He takes his hand back. "How are you doing Leo?"

"I am fine." Leo smiles mildly.

"Pretty brother!" A small figure darts toward Leo, almost tripping over as he runs.

"Steve! Watch out you little brat!" John cries behind him.

Leo catches Steve and immediately scoops him up in his arms, "Don’t run like that okay, Steve? You will get hurt." He pinches his red cheek as he walks over to John and Joe to share pleasantries.

There is another cry of a child. Rita. She wobbles over to Leo’s leg and splays her hands towards him, "Ups, ups." She babbles.

"Oh dear, Rita, there is another baby in his arms now. He can’t give you ups right now." Tina tries to coax Rita but Rita keeps staring at Leo with anticipation in her eyes.

Leo is now in a very big problem as Steve has already wrapped his arms around Leo’s neck and refuses to get down and Rita keeps staring at him like she is about to burst into tears.

I see this and step ahead. I scoop Rita up in my arms and set her in my arms.

Leo reaches out and brushes her cheek, "Sorry baby. This big brother loves me too." He refers to Steve.

The entire room looks like they are mulling over whether they should laugh or cry at the scene displayed before them.

Joe laughs awkwardly, "It seems like every kid likes you so much, Leo."

"I like him too!" Ruth pipes is.

"You stay away!" I bark.

"He is an ultimate child attracter," Jules comments.

"I couldn’t agree more on this topic." Leon nods.

"I am sorry for Rita’s behavior." Tina apologizes.

"I am sorry too. For Steve." John apologizes too. "He seems to like Leo so much too."

"Oh, no, no please don’t apologize" Leo waves, "They just like me. Why are you apologizing?"

"Nobody likes me." I sniffle dramatically, "Even Rita is slapping me see."

Everyone chuckles in the room. "Oh, Erwin." Leo looks at me and beckons me to lean. I do as he says. "I love you so cheer up." He whispers into my ear and I instantly beam.

My heart is filled with warmth and tenderness as I strengthen up. I am so happy and fluttered that I could sing a song now. Everyone looks at me with curiosity in their eyes but I could care less about them. Leo smiles lovingly at me and I feel like I am being lifted off the ground. I am holding myself back from pouncing on him right here and now.

"Hey, Leo." Ruth looks at me, his one brow raised, "What did you tell him? He looks like he is about to fly in happiness."

"Beats me." Leo presses his lips to control his smile.

I grin widely but it dims a little as my eyes fall over Leon. He is looking a bit different. He is staring at something- no someone. Joe. My eyes widen at the way Leon is looking at Joe. Like he is mesmerized. I squint to see if I am hallucinating or if it is what it is actually. But Leon has already everted his gaze from Joe and has turned his attention back to us.

I must be hallucinating. There is no way that Leon..

Suddenly Leo’s phone rings and he rustles to pick it up. My instincts instantly kick in as I see Leo’s jaw clenching and face contouring in seriousness.

He cuts the call and turns to me, "Erwin I have to go to the company. Now."

"Okay." I nod. I am not really surprised as I was already anticipating something like this to come.

"Leon you might want to come with me." Leo hands Ruth Steve and instantly starts to walk to the exit. "It’s important."

"O-Okay." Leon starts to accompany Leo.

"I am sorry guys but it’s an emergency please enjoy the night." Leo apologizes for the last time as he walks out of the house.

The whole room has fallen silent at this point. The mood has been killed but everyone understands that there is actually an emergency otherwise Leo wouldn’t have rushed to the company like that. And I have a bad feeling about this emergency.
