Chapter 381: Travel and Travel Beyond Chapter Five Family Feast_4

The little girl with wings was quite lively, but she looked just too small. Moreover, the feathers on her back showed she was not human, resembling more some angels depicted in paintings. Lynch’s mother shook her head, ruling out yet another choice.

The remaining woman wasn’t bad-looking, but her skin tone was peculiar. Pure white skin with silver-white hair looked very discordant. It’s said there’s a condition that looks just like that. Coupled with her overly sharp purple eyes and well-toned muscles on her arms, she looked like a drifter adventurer, unlikely to settle down.

"Little girl, what’s your name, and how old are you this year?" After thinking for a while, Lynch’s mother decided to inquire. Of all the people present, it seemed only this girl dressed in white had a chance.

Zilvra frowned, glancing at Lynch. She was quite puzzled as to why the mage’s mother would ask her such a question. Yet, she answered truthfully: "My name is Zilvra, I’m already 117 years old."

Little Soka raised her hand and shouted loudly: "I... I’m Soka! Already 61 years old!"

"Haha, so that’s the case..." Mrs. Ailinsha laughed awkwardly, trying to mask her embarrassment. It seemed all of Lynch’s friends were quite strange; every one of them was not just old but way older, and the two young-looking girls were actually much older than herself.

Lynch’s eyes swept across everyone’s faces, and finally, he sighed: "I just realized that I’m the youngest here."

Morgan, sitting next to him, laughed heartily, pounding his back forcefully. The atmosphere at the dining table lightened up, dispelling any clouds of thoughts about the mage’s identity or the looming war.

A good mood is most conducive to dining; everyone shared their experiences since parting, highlighting the most interesting and joyful moments. Lynch ate cautiously, wary not to waste anything before him. Zilvra had been observing the mage, noticing that he ate many times more than usual today, then she eyed the food on the table with thoughtful contemplation.

After dinner, the Drow, dragging the bloated Soka, left mysteriously once more. Lynch, feeling curious, informed his mother before following them out.

The whole town was silent, all the windows tightly shut, even the usual street guard dogs were locked inside by the residents; there wasn’t a living soul on the streets. If not for the glow emanating from the windows, Lynch would have thought he’d arrived at a Dead City.

A cry from the sky made the mage look up. A man was plummeting from a height, flailing his limbs wildly midair, his hoarse throat hollering for help, though most of his cries were swallowed back by the rushing wind.

Lynch grabbed his magic wand, prepared to cast the Feather Fall Technique to save him. Yet a shadow swooped swiftly past the man, and little angel Soka dashed in from the side, grabbing his foot, lifting him into flight.

Lynch hurriedly chased after them, discovering in the field of the town, Zilvra stood with hands on hips, guarding a group of bound townspeople. Whenever someone cried or begged, the Drow would slap them without mercy.

Little Soka flew to Zilvra’s side, placing the man on the ground. Zilvra pointed to another little angel and said, "Go and see if he’s a good person."

"Okay..." Soka agreed, grabbing the rope binding another person, lifted him into the sky. Moments later, another scream ripped through the sky as the person who’d just been taken up started to fall.

Soka caught him just before he hit the ground, flying back to Zilvra’s side.

Lynch watched this unfold, completely bewildered. He stepped forward, looking at Zilvra and Soka: "What on earth are you two up to?"
