Mage And Wolf
Chapter 270: Chair 270

Chapter 270: Chair 270

No bombing the children is an easy restriction to stick to. After all, there are plenty of people to bomb other than the children. My current plan of attack is to find humans that disagree with the Divine Transfer and use them to spread rumors of atrocities committed by the Cult against humans, while the three of us pose as Divine Transfer Elders and create the proof of their claims using the Cult and their allies.

Simple, safe and efficient.

But first we need to decide what to do with the non humans they’re holding here. We could send them to Earth, in case we change our minds and simply kill everyone again. I don’t really know another planet that might take them in, plus Alpha Werewolves are usually very good at taking care of the weak, and there’s lots of unclaimed land in the north these days.

"How many are here Lelou? We could send them to Alpha Conway and he could find somewhere to settle them. More cultivating allies to help keep his pack safe." I suggest.

"There’s about two hundred, all cultivators. They said that anyone who wasn’t didn’t make it."

That’s a manageable number for the pack. Assuming they agree.

"Gather them up for a proposal. If they agree we will send them to Earth. If they hunt a few monsters each they should be able to create enough goods to get settled. That creation spell is just too convenient in situations like this."

"What about the refugee camp itself?" Elder Song asks.

"The next few Divine Transfer groups we find I intend to bring the bodies here then use them as evidence that the Divine Transfer is mass murdering humans. It might be enough to turn the locals against them." I tell him and he smiles.

"I always knew you were the most evil one among us." Elder Song says proudly and Lelou snorts in amusement.

At Lelou’s direction we’ve soon got the crowd of assorted demi humans gathered up to see what they would prefer to do. I’ve changed into my formal High Priestess Garb from my more casual leather pants and jacket and I’m ready to do some public speaking.

"Alright, hello everyone. My name is Katrina, High Priestess of the Black Dragon, as most of you already guessed. We’re here to deal with the small matter of the Divine Transfer Cult, who have been causing problems in a number of worlds here in the Mortal Plane. I’m sure you understand that such things can get messy, so I would like to offer you a choice. If you don’t want to stay here, I know of a more welcoming world.

It’s still developing as a cultivation world, but it has a growing non human population and welcoming locals. The area I would like to send you is largely undeveloped, but a local werewolf pack will help you get settled and has the ability to provide all necessary supplies in exchange for monster cores. Low grade monsters are plentiful in the area, and edible, so food is not an issue, even without additional supplies, and you’ll be free to settle down, or move to one of the larger cities, should you prefer to make a living there. I’ll give you all some time to think on it, before we open the portal and let those who want to leave depart for a new life."

Well, that felt much too long winded, but they’re considering it. Hopefully the take us up on the offer, because the fewer civilians that are left in the area the easier this job will be.

"Did you say werewolves? Like the shape shifters?" One of the Beastkin asks.

"Yes, they’re the indigenous local population of the area, though most of the planet is full of humans. The Dragon Gods have also set up cities across the continent that welcome all species."

"What about Slaves rights?" A Bunny asks.

"We don’t keep any slaves, but you’ll be free to find whatever work you’re good at. The werewolf pack you’ll be going to first has that world’s strongest Bunny currently visiting, a good friend of mine named Lala, who just made Condensation Realm. Most Bunnies on the planet have chosen customer service jobs, like restaurants and cashiers."

The Bunnies look confused and are discussing something internally among themselves.

"Without slaves, who cooks and cleans?" One of them asks, not getting the concept.

"Most people do it themselves, some people pay someone. Domestic Helpers are common there, but they have to be paid, and get days off like other workers do. The werewolves have their Omegas still cleaning and cooking for them, and they get paid as well."

"Oh, so Bunnies get to be like Omegas then. With their own rooms and pay. That doesn’t sound too bad." I would correct them, but for those working in a kitchen, are they really wrong? I mean, it’s pretty much the same job.

"Does this world discriminate based on animal heritage?" A middle aged Beastkin woman with a black stripe through her white fur and small round animal ears asks. A badger type maybe?

"Most of the humans can barely tell the difference, but no. There are no laws or history of prejudice, though I can’t guarantee the new arrivals haven’t brought it with them. The planet had no Beastkin to begin with, only Vampires, Witches and Werewolves have major populations other than the humans."

"There are witches? Like real ones, with proper magic, not just female mage type cultivators?"

"Indeed there are. We’ve also got mages, but they’re generally counted as humans, where the witches set themselves apart. There is a local coven nearby, you might meet them right away if they’re not out gathering potion materials."

That seems to have convinced almost all of them. I can see a few want to stay, likely to fight, but most of the residents of the camp are in agreement that they want to go see this new world.

I guess it’s time to inform Alpha Conway.
