Chapter 168: Chapter 169 Mana Control

Ethan already moved away from the barrier a little and Freya’s sister was watching as all his Mana concentrated in his fist.

She was surprised because Mana concentration was something difficult to control but Ethan was able to put all his Mana into his fist, even though he couldn’t control it she was still impressed.

Once Crystal punched through the barrier, Ethan swung his fist towards her, she wasted no time in blocking the attack with her hands thinking it was some weak punch but the force behind the punch was so strong before his hand reached Crystal, the stone covering her arm had fallen off.

*BOOM!!*

The impact created a loud sound, and even Ethan who threw the punch was thrown backward by the strength behind it and just like Isabella he was worn out and struggling to catch his breath.

Crystal stood there with a dumb look on her face, in front of her was a bright red barrier that Freya’s sister created before Ethan’s fist could collide with Crystal’s body.

All of them turned to Ethan who was comfortable on the ground, not because he didn’t want to stand up but because he had lost strength in his body.

"That was amazing, you channeled all your Mana to your fist, I could tell you didn’t have control over it but it was still good, after learning what I told you, then this would no nothing" she spoke as she walked towards Ethan.

She stretched her hands and Ethan grabbed her hands and she raised Ethan with a single pull but didn’t let go of his hands, slowly Ethan could feel himself gaining strength before she finally let go.

"That’ll be all, you can count yourself lucky I saw you guys, and then" she left them and walked away from them.

(She also has an ability that transfers Mana, or maybe Mana can be transferred)

"Ethan, you were actually going for the kill," Hannah said with a smile as she looked at Crystal who was still standing there in shock.

She didn’t believe Ethan could overwhelm her with his fist, if that blow had touched her, who knows what injuries she would have gotten, but Freya’s sister intervened and stopped him without moving a finger or even taking a step.

"How are you this powerful?" Crystal asked.

"I’m not that powerful, I just put everything in that shot, if you had dodged it or blocked it, then you would win the fight, so it’s not that useful especially when facing against multiple opponents" Ethan muttered.

"That’s true, but still it’s something, if we do what Freya’s sister taught us then it’s going to help with that, since we still have a little time, maybe we should try it" Hannah spoke.

"That’s because you didn’t fight anyone," Isabella said.

"It’s not like we’ll use the Mana, it’s just covering your body with it, are you fighting?" Hannah asked Ethan as he had his sword in his hands.

"No, I’m just holding it, I agree with Hannah, we should try and see if we can" Ethan muttered as he used the sword to aid his Mana recovery.

Ethan had now put away his sword as all four of them took seats in the chairs used for watching the training ground.

Ethan closed his eyes and took a deep breath, and just like how he concentrated his Mana in his fist Ethan could feel Mana coursing through his vein as it covered his entire body, Ethan took a deep breath and kept his breathing stable but the next moment his body began burning up.

Ethan could feel a burning sensation at every part of his body and now his top was already drenched in sweat and Ethan gasped as he stopped the process.

Immediately he opened his eyes, his shirt was already wet from his sweat, he didn’t even last 20 seconds and he was sweating like he ran for hours.

Ethan was still struggling to catch his breath when he looked at the girls, Crystal had her eyes open and a frown was on her face while Isabella was breathing heavily and just like Ethan, her shirt was also drenched in sweat.

But Hannah was still going, she didn’t even look in distress, it was like she was cut off from the rest of the world as she couldn’t hear the rest of them.

"I didn’t know it would be this hard, why is it this hard, how are we supposed to get this" Isabella muttered.

"Looks like Hannah got the hang of it, Crystal are you okay!" Ethan asked.

"I couldn’t do it, unless I’m casting spells I don’t have any control over my Mana" Crystal muttered as she faced away, that was when Hannah stopped.

"This would be hard to do for an hour, why did you all stop, did something happen... Isabella, why are you wet?" Hannah asked.

"I couldn’t last 20 seconds, Ethan even less and Crystal couldn’t do it, how come you are so flawless at it?" Isabella asked.

"Maybe it’s because of my spatial magic, opening a portal requires precise control so I learned to control Mana from when I was little, maybe control has something to do with your affinity," Hannah said.

"Maybe that’s it’s difficult for you, earth isn’t an element that requires precise control, I’m sure if you keep trying you’ll get it," Isabella said to Crystal.

(I guess Mana control is hard for you, maybe you should start small instead of going all the way)

’Start small, how?’

(Instead of your whole body, try holding it in your arm alone for some time and then your next body part till you are familiar with the feeling and have better control then you can do this)

’That would be better than this, I couldn’t even hold it for a few seconds, imagine holding it for an hour’

"Let’s stop by the dining hall to eat before heading back right?" Isabella asked and the four of them walked away from the training ground.
