Chapter 129: Wedding Anxiety

Nina couldn’t help but feel anxious about her big day. The King of Flousia, Peggy’s half brother, arrived three days before the wedding and her fear was more than she could ever imagine.

"That’s called wedding jitters and it’s perfectly normal. Don’t worry, Andrew." Kyle reassured him.

He was worried about his wife because she was always staring at nothing and would sometimes cry in the bathroom.

"She said she was having dreams about what happened in Flousia and her wedding with James. I can’t stop worrying." He sighed.

Jayden chuckled. "Are you worried or jealous?"

Andrew glared at his friend but Jayden was actually right.

"Who wouldn’t be? She was dreaming of James Santelmo. Her memory of her wedding with him can’t be erased overnight. It happened years ago, but still it haunts her."

"It’s a traumatic experience, not only for her. What happened in Flousia haunts all of us." Percy commented.

"What’s her worries?" Luke asked.

"She’s worried that Benjamin Miller is planning something. Our wedding will be broadcast in national television, so she got the feeling that the mafia will attack us."

Luke crossed his arms on his chest. "Well, we can’t ignore the possibility. They’ve been quiet for more than two years. We can’t find any movement from them and that’s also bothering me."

"Let’s be cautious. Don’t leave your wives and your kids alone." Jayden said in a serious tone.

Andrew and Percy glanced at each other. They felt a tension between Luke, Jayden and Kyle.

"What’s with you three?" Andrew asked.

The three didn’t answer for a moment, making it more awkward.

"Hey, if there’s a problem, you tell everyone. We swore an oath, right?" Percy reminded them.

Luke sighed. "They’re keeping Caden away from Alira. My daughter has been feeling down because Caden stopped calling her."

"No. We’re not. It’s him. Not me. I don’t leave in Flousia. I’m his father, yet I’m not allowed to talk to him. So blame him." Jayden said annoyed as he pointed at Kyle, his brother in law.

Andrew and Percy looked at Kyle, waiting for his explanation.

"We talked about this. It’s for the kids’ safety. No one should know that he is the heir to the throne until I say so. It’s the same with the crown princess. You’re not allowed to see or talk to him because no one knows he’s in Flousia except us."

"And how about the communication with Alira? They were allowed to call each other before, right? What happened?" Percy asked.

Kyle stared at Luke. "It wasn’t me. That guy won’t allow them to talk through phone."

"And the letters?" Andrew frowned.

"They still write with each other, but Caden is so busy right now, so he has no time to respond." Kyle explained which wasn’t convincing, as if he was hiding something.

"How about email? That’s faster than writing letters to each other." Percy suggested.

The three were in deep thought. Luke and Jayden couldn’t agree beforehand because the king should make the decision first.

"Fine. I will allow it. I’ll talk to Caden." The king answered.

"Then it’s settled." Andrew smiled.

"I’ll tell Alira." Luke nodded.

"I’ll tell Peggy." Jayden sighed.

Andrew felt Jaden was still pissed. Caden was his son, but he wasn’t allowed to visit him.

When Caden was six, he was chosen to be the next king of Flousia. The kid wanted it so badly so his parents agreed. But because of Benjamin Miller, he had to stay in Flousia and hide his identity to protect himself. For everyone in his mother’s country, he was just the nephew of the king.

Jayden kept on taking a deep breath, making everyone irritated.

"Stop! If you want to say something, kust say it." Kyle scolded Jayden.

"You already have kids, why don’t you make Elijah your heir?" Jaden asked.

"He’s not interested. And I will never dethrone Caden. He should decide on his own."

Andrew chuckled. "Elijah is only six. How can you tell that he’s not interested?"

"He told me. He said he hate Caden because he’s too busy to play with him. He was annoyed because there’s a crown prince position and he asked me to remove it."

"Remove Caden?" Jayden frowned.

"No. Remove the crown prince position in the royal family." Kyle laughed followed by everyone’s laughter.

"Kids. This wedding was brought up by Brie. She was being bullied in school because we haven’t get married."

"At least everything is going well. Nina and the girls are busy with the preparation. And us, men have to make sure that nothing will happen like last time."

Andrew massaged his temple. "Ah! Why did I suddenly feel anxious."

"Wedding jitters." Kyle grinned.

Jayden took his laptop to connect with A.E Headquarters.

"Let’s check the Trekker Clan again."

"Luke, did you find anything about Nina’s boss? Is she telling the truth about the photo?" Andrew asked, curiosity piqued.

Luke nodded. "Yes. But that photo didn’t help them to gain credibility. It’s the opposite. They’ve been bashed on the internet and was sued by your lawyers. Do you remember?"

Andrew nodded. "Yeah. But Nina withdrew the case. Anyway, it’s good that the company is clean. Nina loved it there."

They were busy checking on the security to make sure the safety of everyone in case an attack happen when Jayden noticed something.

"I think we have a movement. Incoming call, Percy!" Jayden shouted.

Everyone gasped as Percy calmly answered the phone.

"The Trekker Clan will rise again. Enjoy your peace while you can."

The call wasn’t too short so they were not able to trace where it came from. A voice changer was obviously used by the caller so they were not sure if it was Benjamin Miller or someone else.

"They’re not done yet. They won’t stop until they get what they want." Anger flared across Jayden’s face.

Andrew felt anxious again. He remembered what Jayden did to him when he switched to his other personality. The guy had serious mental illnes—multiple personality disorder. He would switch to his other selves when his angry or in danger. The last time Andrew witnessed it, he was almost killed by Jayden.

This wedding anxiety was becoming more and more inconvenient. He thought imwardly.
