Chapter 58: Its Beautiful

The beast began to howl in pain again as the sword of darkness was stabbed into its mouth. The snake’s long tong wanted to wrap around Valtar and pull him inside its stomach but it was unable to do so, Valtar turned the sword into a long spear without removing it from the position.

Scrahhhhhhhh!!!!!

Again, the beast cried out in pain. It began shaking its body relentlessly to remove the plague that entered its mouth, but there was no result. Because the spear tip was stuck into its upper jaw while the bottom of the spear was stabbed in its lower jaw, the snake could not simply close its mouth and swallow Valtar.

Valtar immediately pulled out the 2 normal steel swords from his back, he identified the location in the upper jaw of its mouth, in which the sword would likely pierce the brain instead of mindlessly slashing it. After that with his full force, he threw the sword in that exact spot to pierce through.

Puchi........

With a clear sound of piercing flesh, the sword stabbed deep through that spot as if a hot knife cutting through butter without any resistance. The snake stopped moving suddenly and with the loud sound of something falling to the ground, the large body of the snake simply fell lifelessly to the ground. The beast did not even get the chance to scream for one last time as it fell.

Valtar quickly got out of the mouth of the beast. He was extremely disgusted, his whole body was wet, and he was totally drenched in the saliva of the beast. His disgust was beyond reason and he truly wanted to vomit.

He immediately ran towards a water source and dived into it without hesitation. Only after cleaning himself for almost more than 30 minutes did his disgust die down. Even back on earth, he was a very clean and picky guy. Who never let his own living space or using items be dirtied anyhow. So, it would be understandable by the readers if any of them are clean freaks.

Well, that’s beside the point. 5 minutes later now he was in front of the dead body of the Snake. He looked around for a moment and indeed, all 3 beast hordes were slaughtered. Ghostbound of Zolthar took out the entire horde of the Snakes all alone. As for the other 2 hordes they were also slaughtered. This time as his minions were split, some of them got torn to shreds. He lost about 8 ghostbounds, he ordered those ghosts to enter his body.

Zolthar’s body was battered but thankfully the ghostbounds also possessed natural healing which served to heal their bodies over time. Of course, they had to use the first stage of the boost while fighting, so they were currently weakened for some time. Regardless, all of them brought the cores of all the killed beasts of every horde.

Altogether there were less than 1200 cores. He ordered the 8 ghosts to possess 4 gorillas and 4 tiger bodies on their level. Then he divided all the cores among the ghostbounds, he silently waited to see what would happen after consuming so many cores and how much their strength would evolve.

After about 10 minutes all the cores were eaten by the ghostbounds each in different quantity and levels. With this Valtar had a small army of 38 ghostbounds who were all extremely powerful. Among the 38 now, there were 8 peak third-stage, 10 third-stage, and 20 peak second-stage beings. There were no first-stage ones anymore.

Valtar’s indifferent eyes nodded in slight satisfaction. With this, he had much more chances of coming out alive against the Fae folks. But considering the Fae folks can pretty much see everything in every area except for the Dark Elves area, which previously had darkness encompassing them. He frowned, it would’ve been nice if the Fae were unaware of this small army of his and the strength of the army.

He sighed, there was nothing he could do about that. He could only push forward relentlessly. Then he went towards the body of the Shadow Gorilla, climbed on top of its head, and carved out the Material crystal from it. Then swallowed it without hesitation.

The system also showed the details of this gained skill as well as the previous one without him needing to ask for it.

Valtar nodded in understanding. He looked at the snake’s body for a brief moment then decided to not eat its crystal. He commanded the ghost of Hansel to go and possess the snake’s body.

Immediately it went out of him and shot into the snake’s body. The snake’s body trembled for a few moments and then it started to move. First, its head got up, it turned its entire body slowly towards Valtar, and it lowered its head as if bowing to its master. Valtar still did not get why this particular ghost was always bowing to him like that and he had no way of finding out about it either.

Valtar finally noticed that the duration of the attached skill ’Dark Crown’ was over. He thought back to how exactly the ghostbounds landed on this point from the sky as if meteorites fell from the sky and smirked.

Bank when the three beasts leaders first gathered -

Valtar after waking up from the system’s notification was racking his brains on what to do. He did not expect there to be three more beasts on that power level not to mention each of them leading a beast horde and all the beasts in the horde were in the first stage or above.

Even when using the darkness element if he and the ghostbounds rushed towards them through this open ground, they would be noticed no matter what. If they’re noticed then Valtar and his minions will be attacked by all of them together which will result in their doom.

Even Valtar himself felt hesitant to fight 3 of those beasts at the same time. Those each had different specializations, so if those three worked together their battle prowess would be exponentially higher. Then there were so many beasts in each horde that if all of them jumped in together, his ghostbounds would be finished.

Finally, a scene from a certain movie came into his mind as he exclaimed in joy, "bahubali-2, hehe". Thinking about a certain scene from the movie, his mind became more and more clear on what he could do at that moment. Though he didn’t exactly do what they did in the movie but something similar yet different. He activated the skill of the relic which quadrupled his control over darkness and manifested a long and sturdy rubber-like string of darkness.

Darkness manifestation was truly a terrifying skill as long as he had a clear picture of his mind of what kind of weapon he wanted, it would simply turn into that type of properly. He was currently in an area where there were some big trees. He tied the rope tightly with 2 large trees. With more than 5 meters in length between, he made sure it was quite tight but with a little bit of flexibility.

He stood right in the middle point, slightly pulled it, and nodded in satisfaction seeing it was springy enough.

He ordered, "Calculate the pulling angle and how much I must pull this string for the Ghostbound of Zolthar to land right in the middle of those three."

System noticing his serious tone did not joke around this time and it did just as told, [Calculating.............]

The system notified him of the specification after one minute or so. Valtar commanded the Ghostbound of Zolthar. It obediently came and stood in front of the middle of the String. The ghostbound held tightly onto the string while Valtar started pulling it extremely hard.

When he felt that it could not be pulled anymore and his hands almost felt numb because of how insanely hard he was pulling the string while planting his feet firmly on the ground. He abruptly let it go like putting an arrow on the bowstring and then pulling it extremely hard, aiming it in the right point, then simply letting it go.

Boooooooom!!!!

A thunderous boom resounded everywhere as if firing a missile from the muzzle of a tank.

The ghostbound flew away at such speed that it burst through the air constantly and it reached such a height that it looked more like a tiny dot in the sky at this point. Valtar did not waste any more time as one by one he shot every single one of the Ghostbounds high in the sky in the exact same manner. Lastly, he did the same to himself, which was a bit difficult to do on his own but he managed somehow.

At this moment he could not help but feel like a little kid and involuntarily enjoy the sensation of shooting through the sky at an insane speed. When he reached the highest point, it was approximately at the height of a 30-story building.

His eyes involuntarily turned in the direction of the sun, it was close to evening and the sun seemed to be setting. The blissful sensation of flying through the air and seeing that sunset as well as those beautiful clouds in the sky, his skill of ’Suppressed emotion’ somehow turned off because of the overwhelming flood of emotions that he did not know about.

The words escaped his lips in a choked voice unknowingly in a barely audible whisper,

"It’s beautiful.........!!!"
