An hour later, another rumor erupted online following the Yan Corporation’s hot topic. The Cyber Vision global company was planning to invest in the Yan Corporation!

As soon as Cyber Vision’s CEO made a statement to confirm the news, Yan Corporation’s stock price skyrocketed, even trending towards surpassing the company’s historical peak.

In the Feng Group’s presidential office, Feng Zhexuan observed the soaring stock price with satisfaction. Since his wife was now the Chairman of the Yan Corporation, he felt it was only natural to lend her a helping hand. After all, the higher the company’s stock price, the greater her net worth and earnings.

He turned to Wei Zheming and said with a smile, "Inform the Public Relations Department to keep this topic trending for a week."

Wei Zheming nodded, handed him a folder, and reported, "Boss, Feng Bohai’s matter has been resolved. Here is the information you requested."

Pausing briefly, Feng Zhexuan instructed, "Hand him over to the police along with the evidence of the underground syndicate and my parents’ incident."

"Understood," Wei Zheming replied after a moment of silence.

Even if his friend didn’t tell him, he still wanted Feng Bohai to be sentenced to death for planning the Feng couple’s car accident. For someone who harmed so many people, he deserves a gruesome death.

’Perhaps, dying by poison or electrolyte would be a better option than being shot. It will be too easy for him to die by one bullet,’ he thought.

While Wei Zheming was planning the most painful death for Feng Bohai, Yan Yuling woke up in a daze. When she opened her eyes and glanced at the window, the sky was already bright, and the sun was high overhead.

Stretching her sore body, she yawned deeply. Scratching her exposed belly, she slowly opened her eyes and took in the brightness of the room.

After a moment, her eyes widened in shock. Glancing at the alarm clock on the bedside table, she exclaimed in disbelief, "I slept until the afternoon?!"

Sitting in a daze, she recalled that her husband had tried to wake her earlier. She had asked for just five more minutes, and he had agreed.

How had those five minutes turned into so many hours?! She felt as though she had only closed her eyes for a moment.

Panicked at the thought that the new CEO might have been waiting for her all morning, she grabbed her phone and quickly dialed her husband’s number.

Within a minute, the call connected, and her husband’s gentle voice came through, "Wife, are you awake?"

"Husband, why didn’t you wake me up? Didn’t you say I needed to go to the company to meet the new CEO?" Yan Yuling asked, her tone filled with groggy frustration.

Noticing her hoarse voice, Feng Zhexuan said softly, "Baby, drink some water first. Don’t strain your throat."

Hearing this, Yan Yuling realized that her throat was indeed dry and sore. She quickly downed a glass of honey water from the bedside table, feeling a little better afterward.

Clearing her throat, she asked again, "Husband, can you give me the CEO’s number? I need to contact him."

Recalling Lin Haoyu’s elegant and professional demeanor, Feng Zhexuan hesitated for a moment before replying, "Wife, I have already taken care of everything at the company. You don’t need to worry about it anymore. The CEO will send reports directly to your assistant, and you can get the data from her."

"Are you sure that’s okay?" Yan Yuling asked, still uncertain.

"Of course," Feng Zhexuan said confidently and added, "His salary is 280,000 yuan a month. If he couldn’t manage the company, why would we pay him so much?"

"Wife, he is an exceptionally talented businessman. You can rest easy leaving the company in his hands and just wait for your dividends. If you are still worried, I will have my assistant keep an eye on the Yan Corporation." he continued coaxing her.

Hearing his reassurances, Yan Yuling let out a sigh of relief and said sweetly, "Husband, since you said so, I will follow your advice. I don’t know anything about business anyway. It’s a relief to have you helping me."

At her words, Feng Zhexuan felt his heart swell with happiness, as though it had been dipped in honey.

’Ah, so this is love,’ he thought, grinning like a fool.

Unaware of his thoughts, Yan Yuling asked, "Husband, have you eaten?"

"Not yet. I was planning to have Assistant Wei get me a lunchbox," Feng Zhexuan replied knowingly.

"Then have some snacks to cushion your stomach first. I will bring your lunch in half an hour."

As soon as he heard this, Feng Zhexuan grinned and said, "Take your time, wife. I’m not that hungry yet. I will wait and have lunch with you."

"Okay, I will hang up now. Wait for me," Yan Yuling said happily.

"Mhmm, love you, wife," he said before ending the call.

Yan Yuling quickly washed her face, changed her clothes, and rushed to the kitchen. When Aunt Xing saw her, she said, "Madam, the young master asked me to brew chicken soup for you. I also made porridge."

"Aunt Xing, please help me pack up the lunch. I’m heading to the company," Yan Yuling said with a smile.

Seeing that the couple’s relationship was so good, Aunt Xing was delighted and agreed readily, "Yes, Madam."

With Aunt Xing’s help, she finished packing lunch in under twenty minutes. Since Xiao Wu was still recovering in the hospital, two female bodyguards had been assigned to her for the day.

As soon as they saw her coming downstairs, they greeted her in unison, "Good day, Madam."

Yan Yuling nodded at them before settling into the back seat of the car. She glanced at the stern-looking bodyguards in the front row and sighed. These women seemed so strict and expressionless. She didn’t even know how to start a conversation with them.

Compared to these rigid bodyguards, she much preferred Xiao Wu, who could joke and chat with her. If she had to be followed by these two every day, she would feel stifled.

As the thought crossed her mind, she sighed again, wondering when Xiao Wu would recover and return to work.
