Chapter 265: Yan Corporation’s Massive Internal Change ( 1 )
Wei Zheming was born into an average family. Although they owned a house and occasionally went on trips, he grew up practicing frugality and saving money.
Even now after earning millions annually, he maintained his thrifty lifestyle. He plans to save more money so that his wife and children can live a good life.
After he left the room, Xiao Wu lay on the bed as she stared at the ceiling and lost in thought. Placing her hand over her heart, she felt its strong and rapid beating in her chest.
Recalling her senior brother’s words, a smile appeared on her face as she muttered, "It’s good that he likes women."
Amid her daydreaming, she eventually drifted off to sleep again with a smile on her face.
At the same time, Feng Zhexuan finally arrived at the Yan Corporation building. As the car parked in front of the entrance, Xiao Junhao stepped out and opened the back door.
The surrounding employees glanced curiously at the luxurious car. While not all of them knew exactly how expensive it was, the sleek design suggested a price tag of several million yuan at least.
Standing outside the building, Feng Zhexuan narrowed his eyes and looked up. Although the building was smaller than the Feng Group’s headquarters, with only 15 floors, it was in a prime location.
This time, he didn’t come alone. Four bodyguards in black suits followed closely behind him as he entered the building.
Under normal circumstances, his bodyguards wore casual clothing to blend in with the crowd, but today he had instructed them to don formal attire. His intention was clear—to assert his wife’s authority and position as the Yan Corporation’s chairman.
Bringing bodyguards in such a fashion was undoubtedly ostentatious, but it was a tactic that always worked. People often felt intimidated at the sight of them, and he viewed this as winning half the battle.
As he approached the building’s security gates, he gave the guard a sharp look without uttering a word. Feng Zhexuan’s naturally handsome face, refined by his upbringing as an heir, could exude an intimidating aura when stern.
The guard, visibly intimidated by his cold look, quickly swiped his card without daring to ask for further identification.
Making his way toward the elevator, Feng Zhexuan made a mental note to upgrade the security team. His wife’s company needed better safeguards, especially during her visits. Replacing the current team with personnel from the Feng Group’s security division seemed the best solution.
While he was making a plan for his wife, the elevator soon arrived, and they stepped in. One of the bodyguards pressed the button for the top floor, while the others stood stoically, their grim expressions reflecting their seriousness.
Surrounded by the muscular men, Feng Zhexuan glanced at them and couldn’t help but miss his soft, petite wife.
Unaware of his thoughts, the bodyguards thought that he was satisfied with their performance and puffed out their chests, proud of their imposing presence.
Unwilling to look at them any longer, Feng Zhexuan lowered his gaze and checked his phone. There were no messages from his wife, likely because she was still sleeping.
While he was sending her a quick text, the elevator doors opened with a soft ding. As soon as he stepped out, he headed straight for the meeting room.
The secretary tried to intercept him when she saw him walk directly to the meeting room while calling out, "Sir, you can’t go in there."
Before she could get close, a bodyguard raised his hand to block her. His cold, expressionless gaze froze her in place, leaving her too intimidated to move further.
Feng Zhexuan, familiar with the building’s layout thanks to a spy he had planted in the Yan Corporation, arrived at the meeting room soon after.
Standing at the door, he gestured to his bodyguards, who immediately opened the double door. The sound of loud complaints and arguments flooded out as soon as the door was open, making him frown.
"We don’t agree! Who are you to act like the CEO as soon as you show up?" someone shouted.
Hearing this, Feng Zhexuan entered the room, his voice calm yet commanding as he said, "If you don’t agree with CEO Lin, you are free to leave this room."
The room fell silent as everyone turned toward him in shock. Recognizing him, they quickly stood from their seats while one of them greeted him, "P-president Feng, why are you here?"
Lin Haoyu, who had assumed the chairman, Yan Yuling, would be the one arriving, was equally surprised to see Feng Zhexuan in person.
After all, the Yan Corporation’s current standing didn’t seem significant enough to warrant the president of Feng Group’s personal attention.
Though his mind raced with questions, Lin Haoyu maintained a composed expression as he stood and greeted him, "President Feng, welcome."
Feng Zhexuan nodded, shook his hand, and replied, "CEO Lin, my wife couldn’t make it today, so I’m here on her behalf."
Since he was coming as the Chairman’s representative, the main seat naturally became his. Lin Haoyu’s seat was moved to the right side of the table as a sign of deference.
The rest of the attendees exchanged confused glances but said nothing. With the four imposing bodyguards standing behind Feng Zhexuan, and his sharp gaze sweeping across the room, no one dared to speak.
Feng Zhexuan sat silently, observing the room with a faint smile. The tense atmosphere grew unbearable, and when it reached its peak, he finally chuckled and broke the silence.
"Why is no one talking now? When I walked in, it sounded like a marketplace here," he said with amusement in his tone.
The shareholders immediately lowered their heads, avoiding his piercing gaze.
Seeing their cowardice, Feng Zhexuan sneered and said, "A bunch of cowards barking like rabid dogs but cowering the moment someone stronger shows up. Do you think the company hasn’t lost enough money already so you want to find a faster way to go bankrupt?"
