Chapter 477: Chapter 477: Farm War, Capturing the Enemy, Sudden Situations
In the eastern part of Elsondero, several pitch-black troop carriers turned off their headlights, lying in wait like black panthers ready to hunt, silently concealed in the wilderness.
Inside the central troop carrier, Homeland Security Department’s Group Leader Arnold pulled out a map.
"Gentlemen, this is the topographical map of the farm up ahead."
Group Leader Arnold pointed to several spots marked in red on the map, saying seriously:
"These are watch posts and armed counter-attack points set up by the drug trafficking group.
According to the information we got beforehand, these spots all contain rifles, grenades, smoke bombs, etc. In the middle positions, each contains a rapid-fire machine gun, manned by 2-3 people."
"..."xN
Looking at the red-marked positions on the map, everyone inside the carrier furrowed their brows, and Luo An raised his hand to rub his temples.
There is a well-known federal law: the Castle Doctrine.
That is, federal citizens have no duty to retreat when they encounter danger in their homes; they can use force to defend their lives and property.
Group Leader Arnold continued to provide details about the farm, such as information on the warehouse, the residences of regular peripheral members, and the dwellings of key figures in the criminal organization.
In addition, Group Leader Arnold pointed out several tunnel entrances and exits within the farm, and ordered that during the operation, they must be blocked or destroyed immediately, giving no chance for those inside the farmstead to escape.
The specific time for action was set for a few hours later at dawn. Group Leader Arnold did not directly issue commands for the next moves of the Special Investigation Team, but instead briefly discussed with Luo An before finalizing the plan.
Time ticked by, and soon it was 3 am on the third day.
After resting for a few hours, over a hundred agents and SWAT team members had all returned to optimal condition. Seeing this, Group Leader Arnold nodded with satisfaction, but instead of commanding everyone to depart, he took out his phone and made a call.
The others in the carrier were somewhat puzzled, but Luo An’s eyes narrowed slightly, thinking of something.
Indeed, in less than ten minutes, the silence of the wilderness was broken by the rumbling sound of helicopters. Alongside 5 police helicopters, there were also 2 military helicopters loaded with weapons.
"...Six"
Seeing the machine guns and rocket launchers on those military helicopters, Luo An’s mouth twitched slightly; he knew that after working at the Homeland Security Department for so many years, Group Leader Arnold would certainly not gamble with the lives of his subordinates and would not let them charge directly into the farm.
The 7 helicopters roared over the wilderness, and Group Leader Arnold gave a big wave of his hand:
"Move out!"
Ten helicopters dispersed in all directions, forming a circle to enclose the distant farm, while several large troop carriers also split up and advanced directly along three paths outside the farm.
As the 7 helicopters reached above the farm, Group Leader Arnold shouted loudly:
"Open fire!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As his words fell, the FBI inside two of the military helicopters immediately aimed at the defensive structures below the farm and pulled the trigger.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, the drivers inside the ground troop carriers floored the gas pedal and smashed through the estate’s gates, rushing inside.
In an instant, this quiet area turned into a battlefield, with the intense sound of gunfire and explosions deafening and the orange flames of gunfire becoming the farm’s most conspicuous light.
The operation went very smoothly; the FBI side was well-prepared, with formidable firepower. They cut off the farm’s electricity first, took down the lookout posts, activated signal jammers, and then charged forward behind the helicopters.
The moment the power lines were cut, the Naloya drug trafficking group inside the farm sensed something was wrong, but before they could prepare an effective counterattack, the outer defense posts were destroyed by helicopters, followed closely by a wave of troop carriers rushing into the farm’s interior.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"FBI! Hands up!"
"Drop your weapons! Put your hands behind your head and lay on the ground!"
"Advance! Advance!"
"Watch the warehouse! There are grenades inside!"
There were many houses inside the farm, and the agents along with the SWAT teams went towards their respective areas according to the plan.
Bang!
Fully armed, Luo An jumped out of the troop carrier and, under the astonished gaze of the Homeland Security agents, raised his rifle and with a single shot took down the guy near the warehouse who tried to blow them up with a grenade. Then, without looking back, he swiftly rushed into Tahveli’s villa, shouting loudly:
"Special Investigation Team, follow me!"
The Special Investigation Team’s sole target in this operation was Tahveli. Luo An charged into the villa first, followed by Winslow, Michelle, Reesi, Chenier, and Mona who immediately split into two squads to search for Tahveli’s whereabouts.
"Don’t shoot!"
"I’m unarmed!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The villa was expansive and extravagantly decorated, but Luo An and the others had no interest in the interior. They swiftly checked each room, eliminating armed enemies on sight and handcuffing those who surrendered their weapons.
"No sign of the target on the second floor!"
"Nothing on the third!"
"Not even in the basement!"
Chenier, Mona, and Reesi had taken out several resisting drug dealers but had not spotted Tahveli, their primary target.
As Winslow was about to grab one of the drug dealers to interrogate him, the sound of a flashbang going off suddenly came from another part of the large villa.
It was a bedroom on the corner of the villa. Fully armed, Michelle stood at the doorway, announcing loudly:
"There’s a secret passage in this room we didn’t know about. The target just went in there with five armed drug dealers!"
"OK."
Luo An nodded. There was no time to waste. Without waiting for Winslow, Chenier, and the others, he drew two smoke grenades and two flashbangs from his belt and threw them into the room.
Hiss—
Boom! Boom!
The moment after the flashbangs exploded, Luo An dashed into the room under Michelle’s astonished gaze.
Inside, the sudden appearance of smoke from the grenades caught a few drug dealers off guard. They instinctively turned and fired back, only to be caught by surprise by two subsequent flashbangs.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
In the next second, three drug dealers were shot in the forehead. Luo An, with his "emotional perception" activated, moved like a phantom, dispatching three enemies with ease using his pistol.
"Damn it!"
The remaining two drug dealers were startled by their fallen comrades and gasped in shock. They hurriedly raised their pistols and fired wildly into the smoky shadows.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The two drug dealers quickly emptied their pistol magazines. The one on the left asked while hurriedly reloading, "Is he dead?"
"Not yet."
The drug dealer nodded subconsciously, then suddenly realized the voice was wrong and came from behind him!
His pupils constricted, a cold sensation shot up from the small of his back to his brain, and his body hair stood on end. He turned around to shoot.
Bang! Bang!
Two gunshots later, both drug dealers were shot in the head, their eyes wide with shock as they collapsed to the ground.
The secret passageway was underneath the bathtub in the bathroom. Tahveli sensed something was wrong and immediately ran there, planning to flee through the tunnel to Mexico.
But Tahveli was over sixty this year, not in good health, and moved somewhat slowly. He had just reached the tunnel from beneath the bathtub when Luo An killed those five men.
"Mr. FBI, let’s negotiate!"
Seeing Luo An standing at the entrance to the tunnel, Tahveli internally cursed the uselessness of his men but kept a calm demeanor, saying,
"Five million dollars for my freedom, how about that?"
Luo An grinned. Tahveli also began to smile when he saw this and was about to speak when Luo An suddenly leaped into the tunnel and punched him, knocking him out cold.
As the smoke cleared, the Homeland Security Department agents who arrived at the scene swallowed hard, their eyes wide with shock at the sight of Luo An, unharmed, emerging slowly from the tunnel with Tahveli in tow. They quickly stepped aside to clear a path for Luo An.
Luo An chuckled as he exited the room, ready to hand Tahveli over to Winslow and Chenier.
Just then, that familiar sense of danger surged inside Luo An. The next second, a gunshot rang out from nearby, and a bullet flew straight toward Luo An!
