Chapter 1435: Chapter 1435 Flying Sky
Eagle!
Among the Seven Veins of Pendleton, it is the one best known for disguises and tracking.
This vein’s martial prowess is the weakest, but its tracking techniques and concealing skills are unparalleled within the Seven Veins.
According to Graham Will, Leander Sylvan killed the Vein Holder of the Eagle Vein and supported a young eagle, indirectly controlling the Eagle Vein.
Moreover, the Defeat Vein was once under Leander Sylvan’s manipulation.
Even Graham Will, nominally working for Leander Sylvan.
The former Vein Holder of the Sealing Pulse, Devlin, also bowed before Isabella Warm!
The appearance of the eagle—does this mean Isabella Warm has taken notice of me?
Julius Reed crouched down, lifting the eagle’s chin with one hand.
No wonder!
These eyes are remarkably like a hawk’s!
So this is the Eagle Vein.
“Your eyes… can you see things in the dark?” he asked curiously.
The Seven Veins each have their own unique skills.
This is what makes Pendleton so terrifying.
Especially Night’s transformation techniques—they’re practically jaw-dropping.
“The dark? What is the dark?” The eagle asked, puzzled. “Whatever I see looks the same, always the same.”
This wasn’t boasting.
As part of the tracking vein, Eagle Vein members are not only as light-footed as sparrows, but their eyesight and hearing are far superhuman.
From a young age, Eagles undergo inhuman training!
Out of every hundred, barely one survives.
Thus, there are few members in the Eagle Vein.
In the night, the eagle sees things as clearly as daylight.
“Good,” Julius Reed nodded and then asked, “Why did you come here? Who sent you, and what was your purpose?”
Whish!
He didn’t give the eagle time to think and spread open his right hand.
“Leander! I came under instruction from Leander!” The eagle gasped sharply, instinctively leaning back.
Upon hearing this, Julius Reed’s brow furrowed slightly.
He clenched his fist, and the flame immediately extinguished.
“Why did Leander send you to the Young Family? Let me remind you, lying brings its consequences. Think carefully before you speak.”
Whenever Isabella Warm was involved, his emotions could never calm down.
“Leander heard of a master hiding in the Young Family who killed Shay Bread and captured disciples of Micah Will. Moreover, Micah himself visited the Young Family, so naturally, Leander, as part of the Seven Veins, would lend a hand.” The eagle hurriedly added, “Everything I’ve said is absolutely true. I haven’t lied!”
No one isn’t afraid of death.
The burnt Micah Will disciple had lost his voice entirely.
His body had turned black and charred, leaving him to use what remained of his strength to produce faint cries of despair.
He was doomed.
In agony and hopelessness, he waited for death.
“Where is Leander?”
Julius Reed’s tone sharpened!
Within his words, there already hovered the intent to kill!
“City Lord’s Mansion!”
The eagle didn’t hesitate for even a moment and immediately betrayed Leander.
“Leander attempted to assassinate the Pendleton Alliance Hierarch but failed. Severely injured, she’s now recovering in the City Lord’s Mansion.”
“You’re rather straightforward. Betraying Leander so cleanly.” Julius Reed’s tone softened slightly.
“We’re only collaborators as Vein Holders. Besides, I have no desire to become roasted eagle,” the eagle said, despite his fear, with a hint of arrogance.
Eagles are always proud and aloof.
Animals are like this, and so are people.
“You said Leander attempted to assassinate the Pendleton Alliance Hierarch?” Julius Reed signaled the eagle to continue: “Tell me everything you know. Rest assured, I’ll let you go. You’ll walk away unharmed.”
“Really?” The eagle’s eyes shifted, and he spoke: “Leander stole the Divine Dragon Tripod from The North Sea. Using the pretext of offering the tripod, she approached the Alliance Hierarch. Who would’ve thought Andrew would betray her at the last minute? The assassination failed!”
“Later, Leander escaped the manor and hid in the City Lord’s Mansion. As for Micah…” The eagle pointed at several Micah Will disciples in the distance. “Micah and the Cook Family have allied, aiming to enter the Azure Emperor’s ancient tomb together. Reportedly, they’re searching for some artifact.”
“Is Leander seriously injured?” Julius Reed asked.
“Uh…” The eagle hesitated, then nodded. “She’s lucky to be alive. With Andrew’s betrayal, Leander was attacked from all sides.”
“Give this to her.” Julius Reed pulled a pill from his pocket, holding it out in front of the eagle: “After I let you go, deliver this to her.”
The eagle took the pill and sniffed it lightly: “What is it?”
“Pass it to her, and she’ll understand. Furthermore, I am letting you go, but I’ll inform you of one thing.” Julius Reed stood up, his hands folded behind him, coldly gazing at the eagle: “Tell her you received this pill from a mysterious figure at the Ghost Market. If you mention being captured, Leander will kill you.”
“Understood!”
The eagle’s heart jolted!
He had nearly forgotten this crucial detail.
Leander is deeply suspicious, swift, and ruthless.
Being caught and betraying her—this must remain a secret!
“May I ask… what’s your name? I consider my concealment techniques peerless under heaven. The Young Family has hundreds of members, none of whom noticed me. Why did you detect me so easily, immediately knocking me down?”
The eagle looked toward Julius Reed, his eyes full of curiosity.
“My name doesn’t concern you. Besides, are you aware of Devlin’s ascent to the Unbeatable Divine Hall?” Julius Reed turned, his face still hidden behind a veil.
The veil covered his features, exuding mystery.
“I’m not sure.” The eagle shook his head. “Devlin tricked me once. If I catch him, I’ll definitely beat him up!”
“Go. Remember my words. If it happens again, you’ll see the flame and know what to do.” Julius Reed spread open his hand, and the infernal flame burned once more.
“Understood!”
The eagle tucked the pill into his coat, hesitantly asking: “May I leave now?”
“Hold on!” Julius Reed’s words made the eagle’s heart sink halfway!
Another complication?
“I recall Vein Holders all have their own weapons. What’s yours?” Julius Reed blocked the warehouse exit, asking coldly.
“Weapon?”
The eagle thought for a moment, hesitant: “You know much, but this particular item—I cannot tell you, no matter what. It concerns the survival of the Eagle Vein. Even Leander, I’ve never shared this with.”
“I only want to know, not take. I’m letting you go—why would I care about this thing?” Julius Reed patted his shoulder: “I’m merely curious. You shouldn’t be nervous.”
Having said this!
He drew the Hell Sword from his waist: “This blade was gifted to me by the Vein Holder of the Sealing Pulse! At the same time, they shared rumors about these weapons. I’m just trying to understand. You don’t need to fret.”
“Hell Sword?” The eagle’s eyes widened as he examined it closely, finally verifying it was indeed the Sealing Pulse’s Hell Sword.
“The Eagle Vein’s treasure is called ‘Flying Sky.'” The eagle finished, cautiously asking: “May I leave now?”
“All clear?” Julius Reed glanced at Gabriel Young.
“Yes.” Gabriel Young nodded.
“You may go now.”
Julius Reed waved his hand.
“Thank you! If we ever meet again, I’ll spare you!” The eagle said, striding out of the warehouse.
“Catch him! Whoever captures him alive gets ten thousand Swimming City Currency!” Julius Reed suddenly shouted.
“Damn it!”
The eagle cursed internally as the martial artists around him surged like lunatics. Unable to hesitate any longer!
He pulled out a sword from his coat and twisted it with his right hand!
The sword was extraordinary.
Its blade appeared half a meter long, but upon pulling, extended to nearly three meters!
The middle portion had a mechanism resembling a bearing.
As the long sword spun, the eagle ascended directly into the air!
Like a helicopter!
“As you said, ‘Flying Sky’ is an impressive blade.” Julius Reed smiled knowingly at Gabriel Young.
“Electrify it!”
Gabriel Young gestured!
Boom!
A massive electromagnetic field suddenly activated!
Clang!
The eagle’s ‘Flying Sky’ was immediately pulled away!
The eagle himself fell to the ground rolling.
With the martial artists chasing him madly from behind, he couldn’t help but curse. Tossing out a flashbang from his coats, he vanished into the night.
“Damn it, Terry Moore!”
Outside Hidden Tennyson Villa.
A man wearing a duckbill cap stood atop a muscular man’s shoulders, grumbling: “Hold steady! I haven’t slept for three days and nights, couldn’t even take a proper dump! Finally, that bitch left!”
“Nonsense! You did take a dump—and you wiped with my handkerchief!” Terry Moore said expressionlessly.
“Hehe, how’d you know?” Karen scratched his head awkwardly: “No paper—what’s a buddy to do? I’ll return the handkerchief later.”
“No need.” Terry Moore shook his head.
“You’ve grown charitable since when?” Karen asked, surprised.
“Didn’t you notice? Last night we only had four buns left, no other food?” Terry Moore said seriously: “But in the morning, I ate two buns, and you ate two dumplings.”
“Dumplings?” Karen’s eyes widened!
Wait, how did buns have fillings?
Fillings?
“Damn it, Terry Moore…”
