Mei touched a white shirt and turned back to him first. She wondered what response she could give to him that would make sense in case he tried to follow her. "Mmm,I am going to see a friend."

Immediately he said, "I will fly or drive you there. It is already late and dark outside. It’s eight minutes past 11 p.m. Your brother told me to do a better job at protecting you because an unknown car followed you the last time you went out at night."

Mei Mei pulled the shirt down from the hangar. She would have to come up with another excuse in case he insisted on going into the hotel with her. He was so persistent that he was not going to let her go out on her own.
