Chapter 403 - 403 192 Knight Order Establishment_3

403: Chapter 192: Knight Order Establishment_3 403: Chapter 192: Knight Order Establishment_3 After the Knight Order was established, they would basically continue to follow the previous attire format set in Selva.

The basic sergeants would still wear the army’s original gray robe with red sword wing cloak, unchanged.

Knights, on the other hand, would be granted the black-based red sword white wing armor of the original Selva Guard.

This way, the existing robe resources can continue to be used without wasting money on new dyes.

However, Leon still made some adjustments to the emblem banner symbolizing the Knight Order.

The background color of the Knight Order’s flag is not black, but is changed to a dark red, symbolizing ruling authority.

The original red sword gray wing emblem of the Pendragon Family, after being meticulously redrawn by Miss Raya, was changed to a white treasure sword winged pattern, to distinguish it from Leon’s personal emblem.

Taking out a few sets of knight armors from the warehouse, Leon met one of the maids responsible for arranging the housing of Little Gede in the main castle as she rushed to report: “…My Lord, Lord Kovis, Your Highness Death Claw has returned, Lena instructed me to quickly notify you.”

Hearing this news, Leon quickly asked the servant to take the cloaks and put them away, and immediately led Kovis to the top floor.

In recent days, he had already ordered the renovation of the tall defensive tower on the eastern side of the main castle.

On the top layer of that tower, the massive crossbow that had long been in disrepair was dismantled along with the top floor, expanding the accommodating space.

According to the descriptions of Griffin Tower structure in Lorelettian ancient texts, the lookout opening originally for the giant crossbow on the top of the tower was also bricked off on three sides.

Now the only open spot was used to build a fly-eaves platform for the Griffin to land, making it a proper giant beast lair.

He had indeed been waiting for Death Claw to return so that he could have a good “chat”.

Even if the communication failed, it wouldn’t be a waste; even if Death Claw doesn’t reside here, when Little Gede grows up and the Little Griffin expands in size, they will eventually need a true lair for independent living, rather than nesting in a room inside the castle.

….

Quickly arriving at the spacious top floor of the main castle’s rooftop.

Lena, along with a few male and female servants holding cleaning tools, silently waited on the side for the Griffin mother and child to finish their meal before cleaning up.

Death Claw and Little Gede were, as usual, jointly enjoying the wild “takeaway” provided by the territory and brought back by the parent for their child.

Leon cleared his throat, recalling the techniques of communication between the Lorelettians and Griffins from ancient texts, and approached the Griffin to gently touch Death Claw’s feathers.

Griffins bred in the wild have not mastered human language, but some knowledge from the “Life Science·Animal Section” that Leon currently possesses could solve the problem of mutual communication through magic, such as the “Magical Contract.”

However, the low-level magical contract requires the Griffin’s willing consensus with him to be effective.

Once the Griffin had finished eating, he fetched a cloth to help the obediently crouching Griffin Lady clean off the blood of prey from her huge beak, then gestured for her to come to the city wall’s edge.

Seeing Death Claw’s thundering steps following along, Leon raised his arm, pointed towards the Griffin Tower not far away, gesturing the formal invitation for his long-time giant beast companion to settle in the territory.

Tilting its giant eagle head, the Griffin looked at Leon, then glanced at the tower resembling a solitary peak “cave” in the distance, blinking its enormous eagle eyes for quite a while before understanding the message.

It spread its vast wings from the city wall, leaped into the air, and flew towards the high tower.

The Griffin circled the tower, then hovered cautiously before landing on the fly-eaves platform of the Griffin Tower, extending its head into the top of the tower to scrutinize the inner space.

The stone tower originally set up for a giant crossbow is spacious enough, and even more so after the removal of the top floor, providing two levels for a full-grown Griffin to reside with ample space.

Leon shaded his eyes from the sun, watching as Death Claw, cautiously folding its wings and entering inside, felt an immediate sense of joy in his heart.

Seeing the Griffin’s scrutinizing attitude towards inspecting the new residence, he figured it would likely settle in.
