Chapter 872 - 872 860 Underworld Divine Nation
Chapter 872: Chapter 860: Underworld Divine Nation Chapter 872: Chapter 860: Underworld Divine Nation “Mija, this child has been in your womb for fifteen years now and still refuses to come out!”
High above Senapus, in Cloud City with its twelve satellite fortresses, Muria embraced Michaela as they strolled through a garden bursting with color, surrounded by petite and exquisitely beautiful flower spirits, occasionally, one or two would land on their shoulders.
“It won’t be long before he is born, I can feel it!” Michaela said with a gentle expression as she caressed her flat abdomen. As the pregnancy wore on, the valiant air of the Blazing Sky Girl gradually faded, replaced by the charming allure of a young matron. For Muria, this brought about a different kind of temptation.
“By the time he is born, I should just about have subdued the Senapus Subcontinent and fulfilled the promise I made long ago.”
Muria looked at Michaela, whose figure hadn’t changed much since she first became pregnant, and there was no unusual expression in his eyes. As a being who had mastered the power of space, Michaela wouldn’t become a clumsy, heavily pregnant woman like a common mortal, even after nearly thirty years of pregnancy.
“And then what, do you really plan to establish an Empire?”
“Of course, according to the ideas of the Legendary Beast, I have completely destroyed and exterminated the ecosystem of the Senapus Subcontinent. Now what I need to do is to construct another complete ecosystem, otherwise, I would be a criminal of the world! Those guys would never let me off.”
Muria smiled, “To achieve this, establishing a centralized Empire with me at the core is very necessary for the highest execution efficiency.”
“If you’re prepared to be the founding emperor, then what about the Void, will you still go?” Michaela asked after hearing Muria’s plans, inquiring about his intentions.
“Go, of course I must go! Everything I have done since birth has been in preparation for journeying to the Void to become part of the Epics! Even now, subduing the Senapus Subcontinent is preparation for the Void!” Muria declared.
“And what about when you leave?” Michaela inquired further. She had full confidence in Muria’s ability to establish an Empire that would dominate the entire subcontinent. Having an Epics-like guardian beast, a necessary condition for establishing an Empire, was clearly not an issue for Muria, “Have you thought about a successor to the Empire?”
“Isn’t he right in your belly?” Muria’s gaze moved to Michaela’s abdomen. He had already confirmed that his first child would be a son.
“Do you really want our child to become an emperor, entwined in worldly affairs?” Although Michaela had long heard Muria mention this, she was still somewhat dissatisfied. In her view, becoming a great emperor involved too great a burden.
“What’s wrong with that?” Muria countered, “It will be a different kind of experience for him as well.”
“It will be very tiring!” Michaela responded, holding the conviction that an emperor should be responsible for every minor detail within the nation.
She currently manages less than one and a half million Angel Legion, and each angel is extremely loyal to her. Even so, she sometimes feels fatigued and emotionally drained.
She could scarcely imagine the enormous burden borne by an emperor who ruled over an Empire with hundreds of millions of subjects. Clearly, in Michaela’s mind, if her child was to become an emperor, he would need to be a diligent and responsible ruler, not a hedonistic and incompetent sovereign.
“I will teach him how to manage!” Muria smiled, looking at his unborn eldest son with a profound expression.
He had already planned how to educate his firstborn; a prince destined to bear the lives of countless beings could not simply grow up carefree like he did in his early years. He would need an education that differed from the Titan Tribe and the Blazing Sky God Race.
“My eldest son, becoming my progeny is your greatest fortune and also your greatest misfortune,” Muria silently said to himself. To be honest, had Michaela been carrying a girl, he might have opted for a gentler educational method.
But since it was a boy, there was no need to be overly gentle—sons and daughters required different approaches. He remembered a saying that boys should be raised in hardship, while girls should be raised in comfort.
…
The Silver Moon hung high in the sky, and night had deepened. Muria sat on a soft couch, handling the state affairs that required his attention.
“Ding-a-ling!” The crisp sound of a jingling bell struck near Muria’s ear, causing him, who was in the midst of attending to state affairs, to pause briefly, feeling the room he was in enveloped by a chilling Death Qi and drawn into an isolated domain.
“Interesting!” Muria set down his pen, stood up in his loose-fitting robe, left the writing desk, and walked slowly to the door. He then jerked the door open with a sudden movement.
Instead of a resplendent corridor, there was boundless darkness outside the room. Within this darkness, a chariot emitting a faint white glow silently stopped not far from the door,
This was a somewhat dilapidated war chariot, drawn by four Skeletal Warhorses with not a trace of flesh upon them, pale Nether Fire burning within their bones.
Atop this chariot stood a driver clad in gray armor, holding the reins of the four bony steeds, silently perched upon the chariot’s platform.
When Muria appeared, his gaze also fell upon Muria and then he slightly tilted his head towards the back, seemingly inviting Muria to get on.
Muria squinted his eyes and said nothing; he made no move to attack, for he didn’t feel any malice. He scrutinized the chariot that had appeared in such an unusual manner. Although it was one enshrouded with a Death Qi, he didn’t feel any aversion.
“So that’s how it is!” Eventually, Muria’s eyes landed on the insignia on the driver’s chest and then he showed a look of realization. Thus, he strode towards the chariot in his casual loose attire, then climbed aboard with ease and naturally settled himself in a cross-legged position.
Stomp! Stomp! Jingle!
Once Muria was seated, the sound of hooves striking the ground mixed with the tinkling of bells rang out. Muria could feel the chariot speeding along, but because the surrounding darkness was so thick that he couldn’t even see his hand, he almost had the illusion that the chariot was merely trotting on the spot.
Muria looked back and saw a door emitting a bright yellow glow. It was the door to the room where he dealt with official duties. This solitary portal stood there, growing smaller and smaller in Muria’s eyes amidst the sound of hooves, until it finally vanished from sight.
“How many like you have been dispatched?” Muria asked the Undead Knight in front of him, out of boredom.
“…” The silence was deafening. The Undead Knight didn’t respond to Muria in any way, just quietly steering the Undead Chariot, exceptionally aloof.
Unperturbed by the lack of response, Muria only posed the question as a probe since he couldn’t sense the knight’s strength or weakness, combined with the peculiar manner of his arrival, Muria decided to test the waters.
“The embodiment of certain rules!” This was Muria’s judgment of the Undead Knight’s identity; otherwise, if he were merely a pure Undead, there was no reason to ignore his question.
Quickly, as Muria sat quietly in the chariot, he felt a new change. The Death Qi in the darkness grew denser, and the presence of Undead spirits began to emerge within his senses, growing stronger with each passing moment.
Jingle Jingle!
The chariot raced through the darkness, soon leaving it behind to enter a desolate and silent world within. The Death Qi was even denser now, condensing into a fog that hovered around the chariot, but just as it neared the chariot, it dissipated into nothingness, dispersed by the vigorous life force emanating from Muria.
“Is this the Underworld Divine Nation of Hades, the Lord of the Underworld?” Muria sat upright on the chariot, his eyes showing surprise as this was the first time he had entered the Divine Kingdom of a deity.
Generally, no normal creature wants to enter the Divine Kingdom of a death deity, for once a soul falls into such a place, it often faces irrevocable damnation.
However, Muria had no such worries. He had been invited by the Lord of the Underworld, so he entered with his true form as a guest, without concealing his aura in the slightest.
Thus, pair after pair of greedy, longing eyes turned towards Muria. To the deceased, the robust vitality of the living was what they craved the most.
However, even in the Underworld, the most brutal and greedy of the Undead, upon hearing the jingling of the Skeletal Warhorses’ neck bells, prostrated themselves with great reverence, reining in all their sinister thoughts.
Wherever the chariot passed, thousands of Undead lay prostrate.
As the chariot delved deeper into the Underworld, an anticipated event occurred. Chariots identical to the one Muria sat on appeared, racing alongside him, and on one such chariot, the familiar face of a female from the Titan Tribe came into Muria’s view.
“Heloise, it’s been a while!” Seeing the familiar female Titan, Muria greeted her with a smile.
“Mmm, it has been a long time, Muria!” After seeing Muria, Heloise’s gaze was intense; she sensed Muria’s strength, three tiers above her own. Such a difference did not evoke any negative emotions in her,
“After this is over, let’s have a fight!”
