King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 871 - 871 859 Pain

Chapter 871: Chapter 859 Pain! Chapter 871: Chapter 859 Pain! “…” The Blazing Ancient God received that thought silently, lowered his head, and continued striding forward, while the Sword of Light in his hand silently shattered into a shower of light that dispersed among the World Community.

The Void Serpent was just a distant existence beyond the Void, and its exploratory attack of a fellow eternal being was of little use. The being who had launched the attack did not even attempt to harm him.

This attack seemed to be merely a response to his earlier warning.

No offense intended, no desire to become enemies, but also no fear of challenges!

That was the sentiment conveyed by the attack. Indeed, this was the prevailing sentiment amongst the few eternal beings within the Void: if you do not offend me, I will not offend you!

In the Void, there was scarcely anything left worth waging war over for the eternals, so their interactions with each other were rather peaceful.

Because once a war began, it would only result in losses for both sides, and no gains.

Of course, if a conflict arose between a race without eternals and one with eternals, the outcome would surely not be peaceful.

If the Titan Tribe did not have an eternal, if the Blazing Sky God Race lacked this progenitor who still looked after his descendants, the Erathia World by now would have been destroyed by the joint efforts of more than three Demon Kings. The weak have no right to enjoy peace!

In the skies above the Titan Clan Lands of the Erathia World, a thought was transmitted,

“Battle!”

Accompanying this thought was a set of clear Void coordinates.

However, what the seventh Demon King challenging the eternal Titan did not know was that the sixth Demon King had already made his move and had once again fallen into slumber.

The only being who responded to the seventh Demon King’s challenge merely launched a perfunctory attack before ending the battle. He was the only one who earnestly sought to challenge the eternal Titan, as he was the newest to reach eternity and this was his first time negotiating with eternals outside his race.

“What has happened?”

Muria looked up at the sky, frequented by anomalies, and couldn’t help but show confusion in her eyes, while also feeling a bit of helplessness.

Senapus’ location was rather peculiar; looking east, he could see endless darkness spreading towards where he stood, whereas looking upwards revealed three suns in parallel in the sky, two of which were golden and gave him a very familiar and comforting sensation.

The original sun that traversed the sky now also displayed anomalies; it seemed like the whole world was stirring, as if it was trying to create some commotion in response. Huge Sun Flames surged from the corona, as if a giant beast was stretching its body within.

Looking west, he could see the edge of a super hurricane, within which a massive flying beast eerily similar to the Wind King Hawk soared and cried out.

To the south, he could see endless tornadoes reaching the sky, the sea seemed lifted by a tremendous force to the heavens, and within it, a beast even vaster than the Sea Emperor Dragon weaved through.

Without guessing, Muria knew what these beasts were: the Legendary Beast progenitors nurtured by the world in Ancient Times, beings with strength comparable to Ancient Gods. Muria had heard that these Legendary Beasts slaughtered many Ancient Gods from Beyond the World in the Ancient Times.

“Even these beings have been disturbed; what on earth is happening?” Muria fell totally into confusion. However, it wasn’t just her; indeed, in the Erathia World, fewer than ten beings, including the Legendary Beasts, knew what was going on.

All other creatures, including the majority of deities, were plunged into confusion, not understanding the causes of these anomalies.

“Cassio, you should be able to observe the anomalies from your location as well. I won’t describe what I’m seeing now, but can you tell me what might be causing this?”

“I’m sorry, young master, but I don’t know either, and at present, there’s no relevant case to refer to,” replied Cassio.

“You don’t know!” A look of astoundment appeared on Muria’s face. Cassio’s lack of knowledge implied that even the Titan records had no account of such events, a truly astonishing fact.

“Cassio, has anything out of the ordinary happened in the Void Battlefield ahead?” Muria continued to inquire, having no intelligence, she could only rely on her own reasoning.

Legendary Beasts were the guardians of the world, who would stand up and eliminate any threat to the world when it faced grave danger. Thus, the awakening of three Legendary Beast progenitors signaled that the Erathia World was confronting a threat sufficient to bring the world to collapse.

Upon reaching such a deductive conclusion, Muria couldn’t help but feel a chill run down his spine, a sincere sense of fear and helplessness welled up in his heart. He wanted to refute his own deduction, but his reason told him that this inference was not wrong.

When he obliterated the ecosystem of the Senapus Subcontinent, those Legendary Beasts appeared to prevent a mass extinction of life on the Senapus Subcontinent.

And now, with the awakening of the ancestral Legendary Beasts, a disaster must have emerged that necessitated their awakening—what level of disaster? Was it a world-ending crisis that could cause the extinction of all living beings?

Then, what kind of threat that could make the entire Erathia World feel threatened was it coming from? Muria didn’t know, and he had never even heard of such an existence.

“Your Majesty, the two suns in the sky have disappeared!” Mia, the young female servant’s voice, rang out beside Muria.

“Hmm!” Muria looked up at the sky, where the phenomenon of three days at once had vanished. After the disappearance of the two suns, all the anomalies in the world began to recede, and the sun became tranquil once more, without solar flares surging from the corona.

The darkness dissipated, the sea regained its calm, the storms high above crumbled, the earthquakes on the Main Continent stopped… The world returned to its normal order instantly, as if nothing had happened.

Within a community of unknown worlds, a Void Vortex that had dissipated for a while appeared once again and took shape, pulling the surrounding worlds toward it,

“Ouch!”

A low murmur came from the center of the Void Vortex, filled with an extremely complex mixture of emotions, chiefly resentment, anger, and a touch of confusion.

“Why so powerful? We are all eternal, so why is there such a difference?”

The gravitational pull of the Void Vortex gradually intensified, its range and scale growing larger and larger, but, compared to the previous Void Vortex, this one was different—its center seemed to contain sparks of gold shining brilliantly, resplendent and splendid.

“Your Majesty, the Void War is over!” Just as Muria was uneasily speculating about the world’s anomalies, he finally received a clear message. Outside the World Community of Erathia, the Demon Lords who had been pursuing his grandmother had all withdrawn. This war had come to an end.

“Is it over just like that?” A sense of loss welled up in Muria. This war, whether in its occurrence, process, or conclusion, had nothing to do with him at all. He didn’t even qualify as an observer.

He could only catch fragments of news, using these broken messages to piece together an understanding in his mind. However, even the conclusions he imagined, he had nowhere to verify.

“Yes, just like that,” Cassio responded, then answered Muria’s previous question, “Master Muria, you mentioned you wanted to watch the world process the remnants of Epics. Now there’s an even better opportunity. Would you like to go and observe?”

“What?” Muria was a bit puzzled, furrowing his brow, “Cassio, if you have something to say, say it all at once. Don’t keep me in suspense.”

“By your command, Your Majesty! This is what happened—Hades, the God of the Underworld, had previously forcefully captured a Demon Lord. Now that the war is over, he plans to use this Demon Lord as a living sacrifice to the world to create his own Subordinate God. This process will be more intense than the world digesting the remnants of Epics. Would you be willing to go and watch?”

“Of course, I’m willing,” Muria hastily agreed, hearing that Hades was preparing to offer a living epic to the world. Such an opportunity laid before him, how could he possibly refuse?

“Then, I will immediately contact Hades on your behalf to apply for a spot,” Cassio said.

“Apply?”

“Other Titans will also be notified. By then, it won’t be just you who will go to observe this sacrifice.”

“When can I expect to go?” Muria asked.

“I’m not sure about that. You’ll just have to wait for the notification,” Cassio replied.

“Hmm! I understand.”

Now aware that the Void War had ended, Muria, free from worries, continued to oversee the war on Senapus with a sense of anticipation.

For reasons unknown, the intensity of the war on the Senapus Subcontinent had significantly decreased. The frequency of Evil God Avatars’ descent was nearly nonexistent, and the Senapus army’s advance grew faster by the day. They now only encountered empty cities, with all the residents having vanished without a trace. It seemed as if all the Evil Gods had reached a consensus, preparing to abandon the Evil God’s Paradise and refraining from contesting Muria any longer.

However, as more territories fell under his command, the administrative burden on Muria became increasingly heavy. Even though he established a Secretary department that could handle a large number of affairs, freeing up more time for his cultivation, there were still up to a hundred important matters that required his personal attention each day.
