King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 873 - 873 861 The Thoughtful Hades
Chapter 873: Chapter 861 The Thoughtful Hades Chapter 873: Chapter 861 The Thoughtful Hades “Good!” When he heard the female Titan, who had not been seen for hundreds of years, open her mouth to issue a combat invitation, Muria was slightly startled, then nodded and agreed. According to his deduction, this Titan who had once taught him martial skills in his youth must have also gained a world of her own.
She had probably been conquering the worlds allotted to the Titan Tribe for the past hundred or two hundred years, but this opportunity must have been too significant, and so she was recalled by the Titan Tribe.
Two Undead Chariots raced side by side, and wherever they passed, countless undead prostrated themselves on the ground. To the uninformed, it appeared as if two Lords of the Undead were out on a trip, when in reality, it was two Titans, brimming with vigour like vast oceans, neither having any relation to the undead.
As the chariots moved forward, Muria’s vision was met with several others similar to the one he was on. Without even looking, merely through perception, he could sense those Titan Kin seated on the Undead Chariots, their vitality like seas, akin to Ancient Giant Beasts, of varying power, but all above the level of legends.
Soon, a grand array of black palaces soared into Muria’s view, majestic beyond belief to mortals, a residence fit for Deities.
Even the lowest of these palaces had steps which to mortals were like mountains, built specifically for the stature of Titans.
Clearly, although having become a deity, Lord Hades hadn’t spared any expense for himself; he built this complex of black palaces that very well suited Muria’s aesthetics, inherited from his Dragon Bloodline—imposing yet magnificent, without losing a sense of exquisite lightness.
However, as Muria neared the Palace of Lord Hades, he noticed a towering Giant Shadow Wall standing at the forefront, atop which were carved a variety of mighty Undead creatures. At a glance, he felt something incongruent about the wall, as if something was missing.
As he drew closer, Muria could see clearly the reliefs on the wall and instantly understood that some sculptures were missing, marked by the barely noticeable blanks. Surprisingly, right beside these blanks were reliefs just like the Undead Chariots he was riding.
The murals depicted a horde of Undead Drivers charging collectively in chariots, and within that complete formation were some pieces conspicuously absent.
As if to confirm Muria’s speculation, the Undead Chariot that was carrying him halted before the Shadow Wall, and as Muria stepped down, the chariot charged directly into the wall, merging with it. A small void in the wall was filled, and correspondingly, there appeared the scene of a chariot charging forth.
“Sure enough, these are not real Undead, but are manifesting under the influence of some Law,” Muria mused with interest upon witnessing this scene.
He was quite intrigued by this technique, but unfortunately, it seemed currently beyond him, as it clearly dealt with a level of Law that only deities could control. To master a similar technique, he would have to break through Epics first.
All the chariots carrying Titans came to a stop before the wall, and all the Undead Chariots surged into the Shadow Wall, filling in the gaps.
And the Titans, witnessing this phenomenon, could not help but stand and observe the Shadow Wall, captivated by such a unique manifestation of power.
During the brief moment as the crowd of Titans observed the wall, seven Death Knights walked down from it, each corresponding to one of the arriving Titans.
“Prince Muria, please come inside!” one of the Death Knights said as he approached Muria, who bowed slightly in greeting.
Muria glanced aside, noting that a Death Knight had come to lead the way for each of the Titans who had arrived with him.
When Muria followed the guiding Death Knight beyond the wall, a deafening roar immediately filled his ears, and the ground was faintly trembling.
Looking toward the source of the sound, Muria was met by a surprising sight: beyond the Shadow Wall was a vast expanse of a bone plaza.
A Titan, wielding a Warhammer and wrapped in Thunder, was battling a Legendary Undead Giant Beast of matching stature—he had found the origin of the noise and the shaking of the ground.
“This is…” Muria looked puzzled, turning to the guiding Undead Knight. He sensed an air of excitement in the Titan, saw a tangible fighting spirit, yet felt no malice. This battle looked more like entertainment than a fight to the death.
“The preparation for the sacrifice ritual still needs some time, so, to prevent you from getting bored, we’ve specially arranged these for your entertainment, Your Highness. As soon as you step in, a Giant Undead of strength compatible with yours will appear for you to battle.”
In the midst of the battle, you need not have any reservations. The undead formed from your strength are created by His Majesty Hades’ divine power. Even if you shatter them, they can rapidly regenerate a second one. Therefore, you can fully unleash all your strength and enjoy the pleasure of battling.”
“So that’s how it is!” Muria’s face revealed a sudden realization. He wondered why the Titan before him was so excited. For a Titan, other than their kin, finding an opponent of equal prowess was extremely difficult.
“This sounds interesting? I’ll have a try!” Upon hearing the introduction from the guiding Death Knight, almost at the same time as Muria, a Titan arrived and immediately went towards the square.
As he entered the square, bones began to surface from nowhere, interweaving before him to form a giant Skeleton Giant. After the Skeleton Giant took shape, a giant long spear appeared out of thin air, held in its hand, and then it smashed the spear towards the Titan who had stepped into the square.
“Well done!” The Titan laughed loudly as the Skeleton Giant launched an attack on him. He released his true self, and his massive Titan Body stood tall on the bone-filled square, a single-bladed battle axe appearing in his hand…
“Lord Hades is truly considerate!” Muria couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration as he watched the giant undead engaging in a give-and-take battle with the Titan.
Normally, guests would be entertained with fine wines and delicacies, but for Titans, a formidable opponent that they could battle without any concerns was the best form of hospitality. Therefore, the Titans who had just arrived here were especially happy.
For example, seeing this scene, the female Titan Heloise couldn’t wait to step into the square to fight with the undead giant formed by divine power.
“Prince Mureya, won’t you go in and try?”
“Of course!” Muria also stepped towards the square, radiant Golden Thunder flashing on his body. His figure grew larger, and soon, a Titan with a slender Dragon Tail entered the square. Like the other Titans, bones coalesced in front of Muria, and then formed an undead being similar to his current size—a giant undead with Dragon features as well.
“Hey!” Seeing the undead formed apparently using himself as a model, Muria chuckled, then drew out his Army-breaking Halberd and charged forward.
Clang!
The undead formed in response to Muria drew a bone spear from the void, positioned it in front, and blocked Muria’s slash. The seemingly brittle bone warrior blocked Muria’s Exclusive Weapon, leaving behind only a shallow slash scar that disappeared instantly.
“A worthy opponent!” After several exchanges, Muria revealed a smile. Although the undead formed by Lord Hades’ divine power did not give Muria the same sense of pressure as a Divine Incarnation, the profound combat skills allowed Muria to feel that this battle was as beneficial as fighting against a Divine Incarnation.
Furthermore, Muria found the plaza he was in very interesting. Although there were already more than thirty-two Titans engaging in recreational battles on the plaza, the fights of the Titans did not interfere with each other. Each Titan was in a separate space with their corresponding undead.
It did not surprise Muria that the Lord of the Underworld possessed such might. What truly amazed Muria was Lord Hades’ control over his power, which had reached an incredible zenith.
Because Muria had not noticed from the start that he had been drawn into an independent battle space. He detected no anomalies in the space, and he could even feel the surging Qi of his Titan Kin. He could only come to this conclusion because the residual effects of his kin’s battles did not reach him.
…Just as Muria was enjoying his battle, the Skeleton Giant in front of him suddenly froze, not just his, but all the Titans stopped as well.
“My lords, the sacrifice ceremony will begin shortly; we may take a brief pause from our entertainment.” A giant skeletal Evil Beast appeared at the edge of the square, and atop its head stood a Lich in a Black Robe, watching the Titans on the square.
As these words fell, including the Skeleton Giant in front of Muria, all the Skeleton Giants collapsed, turning into streaks of white light and vanishing. Over thirty Titans stood together, their golden Qi enveloping them, creating a sea of golden blood Qi that covered the entire Underworld Palace.
“Right this way, please!” Watched by over thirty legendary Titans who had been roused but then suddenly stopped, the skeletal Giant Beast upon which the Lich was seated lay prostrate on the ground, not daring to move an inch, as Muria could see every bone trembling, exuding an aura of fear.
However, the Lich showed no sign of fear, maintaining an inviting posture, welcoming the Titans into the Palace of Lord Hades behind him.
