King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 870 - 870 858 It Ends Here

Chapter 870: Chapter 858: It Ends Here! Chapter 870: Chapter 858: It Ends Here! In a daze, the Seventh Demon King heard the panicked shouts of the group of demons calling out to him. When he broke free from the vision filled with golden color, he was shocked to find that his true form was actually wrapped in a world composed of Golden Thunder.

“How daring!” Feeling the damage these thunders had done to him, the Seventh Demon King snorted in anger, as a domain rapidly expanded from his colossal body at its center, instantly collapsing the world of thunder which had been covering and enveloping his true form.

Being attacked by an eternal existence from across thousands of world communities, he could deal with such an assault very easily. The exceedingly long distance caused the attack’s power to drop dramatically.

“Arrogant!” The Seventh Demon King’s first reaction to being attacked was to strike back, but he quickly discovered a very helpless reality.

He could launch a similar attack, but he was unable to reach that eternal existence beyond the distant world communities, who was slumbering within the great world. To mount an attack on the other party, he would first need to break through that greater world’s defenses.

As much as he hated to admit it, he had to say that he was unable to do so. In terms of size, the great worlds and eternal epics were on the same level, and moreover, the Erathia Great World had clearly advanced more than once.

This kind of great world had surpassed him in size already, so breaking through the defenses of such a world was somewhat difficult for him. Besides, he had already triggered the defensive mechanism of this great world, and his power simply couldn’t extend into it.

Therefore, if he wanted to retaliate, the only way was to awaken the other Demon Kings. By joining hands with three or more Demon Kings, they could tear apart this world’s barrier and then he could fully return the humiliation he had suffered.

But the problem now was that, if he wanted to target that eternal existence from the far-off world communities, he would not only have to deal with the world’s defense mechanism that he had activated, but also face that eternal existence.

As he hesitated and pondered, a scorching gaze landed on him. The Seventh Demon King looked in the direction of the sensation and then, he saw a being walking through the endless Void.

This was a humanoid being whose endless light stretched out behind him, interweaving into twelve pure white Light Wings. Thousands of burning stars were embedded among the wings, and wherever this being passed, the darkness of the Void was expelled, with everything bathed in the light he radiated.

“…” The Seventh Demon King remained silent, feeling his body actually heating up.

“Your Majesty, the Sky Demon King!” A somewhat familiar cry of shock rang out.

“I know!” the Sky Demon King replied impatiently. What was there to be surprised about? Was it not just another attack he had received from a peer? The Demon King could see his body enveloped in a faint incandescent flame. His black hole, which had once devoured everything, was turned into a star that emitted endless light and heat by this single attack.

“The second one!” The Seventh Demon King regained his composure amid very serious emotions; he extinguished the Blazing Sky Fire on his body without rushing to retaliate.

From this attack, he understood that he hadn’t been struck for no reason; rather, he had initially offended the other party, who had then struck him as a warning.

He could sense that this being who radiated endless light was connected to the world he had just peered into; his peering was into the other party’s homeland. Because he had harbored malice, he was sensed, and so this being gave him a look, letting him experience it for himself.

“What caused this war in the first place?” After a long silence, the Seventh Demon King slowly asked the demons who had awakened him.

“The world community that’s waging war against us had a deity steal our Source Power Secret Techniques. We aim to retrieve this Source Power Secret Technique and erase the souls of all beings who have seen and known it,” they explained.

“They refused, so you’ve started a war with them, correct?”

“Yes, Your Majesty, the Demon King!” Several demons exchanged glances, picking up on the implication in the Demon King’s words.

“Let this war cease,” he pronounced.

“But…”

“For you, this war should be over. There’s no need to sacrifice so many of our people for a secret technique; it’s not worth it!” the Seventh Demon King said very calmly.

He could clearly see that if the secret technique had already been stolen, then recapturing it was entirely unrealistic. Killing all the deities who had witnessed the secret technique was undoubtedly something the other party would not agree to unless they could also completely kill the other party’s eternal existence. However, he knew all too well how difficult that would be.

“I’ll handle the rest! Indeed, there’s no need to continue the war, but it cannot end just like this! We need a conclusive final battle worthy of consideration!”

“Your Majesty, the Demon King!” several demons cried out in alarm. From the recent impressions, they too had vaguely guessed what had happened. The world community that had stolen their Heavenly Demon Clan’s secret technique was not as weak as they had estimated but was extraordinarily strong.

“Step back,” ordered the Seventh Demon King, “for from this moment on, it no longer concerns you!”

Frankly, the Seventh Demon King was very eager to continue fighting, as he was merely glanced at and was harshly slapped in the face by two peers of the same level. Such humiliation he was very keen to avenge.

However, if it was merely for revenge, then he alone was not enough; he needed to awaken more Demon Kings. Yet, to wage a war with the purpose of annihilating the enemy, the other Demon Kings would be unlikely to assist him.

Simply because, triggering such a war could not yield benefits equivalent to its cause, just for a stolen Source Power Secret Technique, to go to war with two or possibly more eternal beings was by no means worthwhile.

The Demon Kings were the leaders of the Heavenly Demon Clan; they were the fundamental guarantee for the continuation of the prosperity and development of their race. They must not act rashly; they needed to maintain the utmost calm and wisdom to make the most correct decisions.

So, if he wished for revenge alone, no Demon King would help him fight to the death with the other eternals. But if he were to invite the Demon Kings to war under the pretext of safeguarding the Demon Race, the other Demon Kings might take action, but only to engage in a single battle before calling it quits.

The Seventh Demon King dismissed the Demon Lords and, after issuing the order to retreat and cease fire, he began to summon the other six Demon Kings; one by one, they awoke at his call.

“What’s the matter?”

“A Source Power Secret Technique has been stolen!”

“For such an insignificant matter, you actually roused us? Who stole the Source Power Secret Technique? Is there a race behind him? If so, then exterminate him along with his race!”

“That race has an eternal existence!”

“…” A silence ensued.

“Just administer a slight punishment, let’s not pursue it further!” Soon enough, a voice slowly rose, making the decision. For most creatures, the Source Power Secret Technique was precious, but for beings like them, who stood at the pinnacle of the Void and could devour worlds, it was utterly useless.

“When I was spying on their world, I alarmed them, and they attacked me!” said the Seventh Demon King. Those strikes from across who knows how many World Communities naturally didn’t harm him, but they had caused him to lose face.

“They? More than one?”

“Hmm, there were two! They warned me the moment I spied on their Mother World.”

“That means there could be even more eternals?”

“I don’t know.” The Seventh Demon King’s reply was clean and cut.

“No matter how many there are, we can’t let this go so easily. Let’s have a battle with them, and then bring it to a close!”

“A meaningless battle; I won’t be joining! If you want to fight, then go ahead, I’m going back to sleep!” A voice that had been silent from the start finally spoke up, and then fell silent once more.

“This is too troublesome; I’m not participating either!” One by one, the awakened Demon Kings fell silent again. For them, to engage in a war triggered by a Source Power Secret Technique and to confront the eternals was a pointless battle.

“Are you saying that I should face the two eternals alone?” The Seventh Demon King asked coldly. If the other Demon Kings didn’t come to his aid, then he would not fight either.

“Sigh, I’ll accompany you this time!” replied the Sixth Demon King. After all, the face of the Demon Clan needed to be preserved; they were, after all, the victims of the theft.

“I’ll remember this favor!”

“Hmm, let’s make it quick!”

A Void Serpent that showed only its head but not its tail emerged from a Black Hole, writhing through time and space, arriving above a World Community that was bathed in light.

The Void Serpent opened its massive maw and lunged toward the grand being below, spreading endless radiance. Infinite darkness cascaded from its mouth, spreading downwards, swallowing all in its path. The Star Cluster trembled, and starlight dimmed.

The Blazing Ancient God looked up at the Void Serpent that seemed to want to devour him whole. A feather fell from the brilliant Light Wings on his back, then rapidly evolved into a Sword of Light that spanned the Void.

The Ancient God grasped the sword and gave a gentle swipe across the sky. A vast surge of light flooded toward the Void Serpent, quickly submerging it. Darkness and light clashed and canceled each other out. When the Void Serpent dissolved, the torrent of light was also exhausted.

“Enough!” But as the Void Serpent faded away, a peaceful thought reached the Blazing Ancient God.
